Contest Rules and Regulations for urbanmoms.ca

1. Agreement: No purchase is necessary to enter urbanmoms.ca's contests. The act of entering the Contest constitutes acceptance of the contest rules and the decisions of the Contest judge.

2. Sponsors: The Contest sponsor is urbanmoms.ca.

3. Eligibility: All urbanmoms.ca contests are open to all Canadian  residents (excluding residents of Quebec) who are members of www.urbanmoms.ca * and who are the age of 19, except for employees, immediate families and anyone living with any employee of urbanmoms.ca or its corporate affiliates, advertising or promotional agencies. Limit of one entry per household for a complete registration. Illegible entries, bulk drop offs, photocopies, scanned copies, facsimiles or other mechanically or electronically reproduced entries will not be accepted and will be disqualified. All potential winners must correctly answer a mathematical Skill Testing Question before being awarded a prize.

4. Current Contests:

Contest 1: The Team Urban Moms Weighty Matters contest begins at approximately 8:30 a.m. EST on December 1, 2008. The winner will be selected at random by an urbanmoms.ca representative. The contest ends on December 31, 2008 at approximately 5:00 p.m. EST, after which the winner will be contacted by email by a representative of urbanmoms.ca and must reply within 5 days to maintain eligibility.  Entries are earned by entering comments on the Team Urban Moms blog page. In order to win you must be a registered member of urbanmoms.ca. Prize: The prize is valued at $200 CDN and consists of a gift pack including a $200 gift certificate for a weight-loss/maintenance program. The winner will be contacted by email. If the winner does not claim the prize within 5 days of the draw the next eligible finalist will be contacted and the first entrant selected will have no further claim to the prize.

5. Release: Prior to receiving the prize, the winner will be required to show valid photo ID and to sign an affidavit of eligibility and release form releasing the sponsors of all liability, confirming compliance with the rules and consenting to the use of his or her name and photograph, without further compensation, in any publicity carried out by urbanmoms.ca and/or the sponsors and/or their advertising and promotional agencies.

6. Privacy: We only use your personal contact information to administer this contest, including contacting, announcing and promoting prize winners. All contests are run in compliance with urbanmoms.ca privacy policy.

7. Banning: The sponsors may, in their sole discretion, prohibit any person from entering any contest who they believe to be abusing the rules. Such abuse includes entering false information and any action urbanmoms.ca deems as abuse.

8. Other: All decisions of the contest judge are final. Contests are governed by the laws of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein. The sponsors reserve the right to cancel or modify any contest or the contest rules at any time without notice. All prizes must be accepted as awarded, are non-transferable and are not convertible to cash. The sponsors reserve the right to substitute any prize or portion of the prize with a prize of equal or greater value. All prizes are awarded as-is and no warranties or guarantees are implied or expressed, beyond the standard manufacturer's warranty. The odds of winning depend on how many eligible entries are received. Sponsors are not liable for any lost or stolen entries or inability to process entries, or any errors, damage or negligence that may arise in connection with this contest, including technical failures on the part of contest software, virus, website down-time, human error or property damage incurred by any contest entrant.
