Last summer, urbanmoms.ca teamed up with Sun-Rype to offer the Sun-Rype Community Party contest. Well, it took nearly a year, but lucky winners Carina and Ellie hosted their parties recently. Judging by the photos below, a fabulous time was had by all! In keeping with the party themes of community, outdoor activities and nutrition, both events boasted activities like bouncy castles, trampolines, sports and - of course - healthy snacks from sponsor Sun-Rype. Ellie's Party:The day finally arrived Ð Our Community Sun-Rype Party came to fruition on June 16, 2007 at Centennial Park in Etobicoke, ON. I worked closely with some wonderful ÔUrban MomsÕ in organizing this event Ð thanks Agathe, Allison & Jen! We called our event a celebration for healthy living. There were just over 50 children between the ages of 10-13, who enjoyed a couple of hours of organized sports time. A very energetic team of coaches from SportBall kept the children focused on soccer, basketball and ball hockey. Our picnic area showcased the winning Ôfrozen grapesÕ as well as another healthy suggestion of individual veggie & dip cups.
