This would be perfect for my daughter .The timer will help her to brush long enough ,and i like the fact that it is best for plaque removal
I've never tried an electric toothbrush before and would love to but I could never justify buying one for myself
The timer system is wonderful to use....showing you which quadrant of the mouth you are to be brushing as well as letting you know if you are brushing too hard or not. Then there are different modes to choose from while brushing. An excellent toothbrush for those who are serious about their dental health.
This is my first electric toothbrush with SmartGuide and I love it! I feel my teeth are clean. No one manual toothbrush gave me this feeling.
The clean you get with this toothbrush is amazing. It's like you've had a cleaning at the dentist. The timer makes it mindless and you don't miss an area because the vibration in the brush reminds you to move on to the next quadrant. Just look at the timer and see how many quadrants you have left or time remaining. It makes brushing your teeth fun! Also the toothbrush head is nice and small. I like that.
I like that fact that it cleans my teeth so well and the timer is such a great idea - but I love, love, love the way my teeth and mouth feels after using it..... so fresh, so clean, so.... just like having spent hours in a dentist chair!!

It took me a few "tries" to get used to moving the brush around my teeth and gums after using a manual toothbrush for 40 years...but like others, I have found that this system REALLY is the best way to ensure all teeth and surfaces are being brushed properly, and for the right amount of time. I have noticed that my always sensetive gums are a LOT heathier as well after using this system for over a month now...I really didn't realize when I started testing the product the benefit I would actually receive...thanks Urban Moms for the chance to test and now see the results of this great product!!
Love, love, love this brush. It made my mouth feel amazing. When I had to take my manual one on holidays, my mouth felt yucky all the time. Next time this baby travels with me!!
WOW, that sort of sums it up! Always having used a manual brush, AND with sensitive teeth, I was skeptical of this brush. After the first day of use, I could feel the difference. The Oral B Triumph with Smartguide was a very pleasant surprise to my mouth. Love it!!

Everyone in the family can use the same brush base and there is a neat section attached to hold all the brush heads. A great way to keep your bathroom counter top tidy. And brushing is effortless with the vibration telling you when to move to the next quadrant and the happy face on the timer telling you when you're done.

It'd be great to win one for my husband. Our dentist told us that we should be using electric toothbrushes. My teeth feel cleaner when using this electric toothbrush than when using a manual toothbrush, and the different quadrants of my mouth are more evenly cleaned. As well, I am informed of when I'm brushing too hard, which has been an issue for me.
My family loves the little smilie that lets you know you've brushed as long as the dentist would like you to... My kids are clamoring for their own now! I am brushing much longer than I used to thanks to the timer. I hadn't realized that I was brushing for such a short period of time before that. It's also a great toothbrush and I am hoping and I think I will, have much less plaque on my next dental cleaning.
I have never used an electric toothbrush before. I was a bit intimidated and was worried I wouldn't like the way the vibrating brush feels in my mouth. I was hooked after the first time I used the toothbrush. It felt good. Not to mention I love the timer. I'm techie and it makes brushing my teeth like a little game - a game of clean teeth and fresh breath. I recommend this to anyone and their kids.

I have an electric toothbrush, which is many years old now, as my dentist recommended it. I love how it gets my teeth squeaky-clean, but my primary reason for switching, and wanting to update the one I have, is for gum health. I was presssing too hard in one area with a manual toothbrush, causing gum recession. With the electric toothbrush, used properly, this doesn't happen. It's saved a fortune in dentist's bills, and I'd never switch back. This one with a timer looks perfect - even with my electric toothbrush, I do tend to rush through brushing - and I know I shouldn't.
I would love to own an electric toothbrush because my dentist has recommended it and he said it would do a better job of cleaning my teeth and would prevent gingivitis. This sounds like a great investment in better oral health!

I LOVED testing this product! What an awesome toothbrush! I have used electric toothbrushes before, but this one stands out above the rest. You truly get a super cleaning. Your mouth feels just like it does after having had a professional cleaning done. I love the Smart Guide too because it keeps track of how long you're brushing and it also tells you if you're applying too much pressure as you brush. A great product! I can't recommend it enough! :-)
That horrible poking the dentist does has become less stressful as my gums seem to be healthier when I brush with an electric. I started using the one I bought for my husband, my own head of course. I love the timer idea. Time to work on getting the teens to use it too.
Not only does this toothbrush brush, it flosses (with the floss brush) and polishes! What more can you ask?! The timer is great to ensure you brush the full two minutes. Highly recommended.

I absolutely love this toothbrush and won't go away without it. The battery life is insane, and I love getting a smiley face after you reach 2 mins of brushing. I find it was very gentle on the gums, no bleeding and I thought it was really working on the tea stains on my teeth! Would recommend this 100%!

I think switching from a manual brush to an electric brush will keep your gums healthier becuase they massage your gums more when brushing. You will also have less plaque on your teeth because the smaller brush gets hard to reach places. Oral B has always been my brand and my dentist promotes it as well.

Right now I have carpal tunnel syndrome in my right hand which shoots up my arm, and since I haven't mastered the left handed brushing technique yet, this toothbrush would sure do the trick.

It was wonderful to have the opportunity to try this electric toothbrush! I loved the digital time keeper that tells you when its time to move on to the next section of your mouth. I always had the habit of brushing in the same area when I used an manual brush, this reminds me that I do have other teeth in other parts of my mouth LOL It does wonder to not only your teeth but your gums! manual toothbrushes are terrible - they fray, don't last long, are full of bacteria and they don't clean as well.
My gums are starting to recede and I think it's because I had a history of brushing too hard with my manual toothbrush. Since electric toothbrushes have sensors that prevent this, it could definitely make a world of difference in my dental care!
My dentist actually recommend me to switch to a electric toothbrush as I can't move my hand to an angle to optimize manuel brushing. I have not decide what to get yet.

I love the timer fact - my teenage daughter does brush her teeth 3 times a day, but it is always under the limit - having the timer would be beneficial for her, to get the proper dental care she needs !

Electric tooth brushes are the only way to go. The manual brush is at the whim of your mood. With the electric tooth brush you can guide the brush and it does the work, so your teeth are consistently cleaner.

Oral-B power brushes do a better job at removing plaque than manual brushes. The timer also helps you brush your teeth long enough to help you get your teeth clean. Once you try an Oral-B power brush, you begin to understand the job, that these brushes do.
Oral-B brushes I hear work really well, i'd like to have this to make my teeth healthy and clean.
This will give me the clean feeling I get from the dentist. This feeling will last longer, as I can do it daily.

I would love to change from a manual toothbrush to an electric one, because I am hoping that the electric toothbrush would help decrease the plaque built up on my teeth. My dentist says for some reason that I have more plaque built up than other patients and would like me to come for cleanups 4 times a year. I am hoping that an electric toothbrush would make the dentist visit less frequent as I hate going to the dentist.

I would love to win this for my youngest son, as I am continually trying to impress upon him just how important dental care is. I unfortunately had to have all of my teeth removed due to damage from cancer treatment. While losing my teeth was not my fault, I still try to impress upon everyone just how much they ought to cherish their teeth. I truly mean it. I used to brush and floss almost compulsively and was told I would have lost them much earlier if I had not been so diligent. I absolutely HATE the false teeth and only wear them to go out. I will not eat with them because I can't taste the food. To anyone that reads this, I just want you to know that you need to take very good care of your teeth as you could one day be like me and left with false teeth that just don't compare.

the dentist has often recommended to switch to an electric toothbrush...i like the idea of the 2 minutes timer as i myself know that i do not brush nearly that long!

I would definitely love to give this a try. My family has used many a toothbrush - from the manual, to the manual with light at bottom (lights up for two minutes and then stops to let kids know they are done, problem, once battery dies, no more light), we tried the music one (same problem with light).
We currently switched to Colgate Spin Brush and love them, but only one problem - getting the kids to brush for 2 mins is not easy. I tell them to hum the ABC's twice for each top and bottom and then they are done. But kids trying to hum and brush not working. This timed toothbrush will help with that and also provide great cleaning. Maybe this will be the answer to the toothbrush dilemma.
I would love to try this toothbrush. Using a manual brush does not leave a clean fresh feeling in your mouth. I am getting married next summer and I would love to have my teeth sparkling white!! What bride wouldn't want a great smile in the photo's. A spin brush leaves your teeth feeling clean and helps keep your breath kissably clean!! :D
I didn't know that there was such a difference between a manual brush and electric when it came to getting teeth and gums clean. I just thought the manual required more effort! I would like to try one out for myself after reading so many positive reviews about it.

This is such a great toothbrush. Not only can you change the head to a bi-weekly teeth whitening, you can adjust the speed and type of rotation. It's great for sensitive mouths. The timer is so excellent. Who knew 2 minutes was so long!

I think it would be nice to have the clock part of the toothbrush to show me and my kids the "proper" amount of time for brushing. Sometimes there is speed brushing in our house- wet the toothbrush, put on a little toothpaste, thrust it in your mouth and you are done even if you did not touch your teeth- I need to work on changing that style of tooth brushing with my kids. This is a fantastic toothbrush. Now, I can have that right-from-the-dentist feeling twice a day. My son loves the SmartGuide and watches very closely to make sure he's brushing the right area at the right time. It ensures he brushes for the full two minutes, too.
Truthfully, I have not been to the dentist for 10 years, I have no dental coverage, so using this toothbrush would extend the life of my teeth, I do brush twice daily , sometimes 3 times daily if Im at home, but having one with a timer would insist I use it for the entire time recommended

Teeth brushing has become a major event in our house! I just went through two years of Invisalign braces, which means a nightly retainer FOREVER more, and my 5-year-old has already been through two root canals - one at just over a year for a tooth that came in looking more like Swiss Cheese (more 'mom guilt' - it was likely due to a fever I may have had during pregnancy while the tooth was forming!).

This sound wonderful. I have been planning for a long time to buy an electric toothbrush. Even with brushing twice a day I build up quite a bit of plaque. My plan at work only covers dental visits every 9 months and each time I go, I am in there for at least an hour getting my teeth worked on. This would really help. Oral B makes such good products! Love the fact that this has a timer, and would be useful for all members of the family, even us parents. Seems in this busy world, time flys by so fast anyways, and brushing teeth in our family has gotten down to a simple brush each side, up and down, rinse and out.....lasting 15-20 seconds.....if! With a timer, we would have to slow down and realize that we were not doing our job right, and now would take the proper time to brush our teeth correctly! And it is so much more fun using an electric brush, than 'pressing hard' (to get maximum cleaning with minimum effort!!! ) with a regular brush.

I find this toothbrush great for my gums and surprisingly the timer helps me brush longer (I initially thought it was silly but it works). The noise of an electric toothbrush is a bit annoying for anyone else who is trying to sleep. It is also expensive as are the replacement brushes. However, I don't want to go back to a manual brush.

So, I just had a dentist appointment yesterday and saw one of these displayed there and asked about it. They HIGHLY recommend Oral-B so I was confident I needed to get one for myself.
But, after reading all of the reviews about it, I think we need one for our 3 boys who NEVER want to spend the full 2 minutes brushing! I'm imagining my 5 year old looking for a smiley face to pop up as a reward for some good long brushing . . . ahhhh. It will be one of my better parenting moments for sure.
And a flosser as well? I have to admit that I do NOT floss my kids teeth and always feel guilty when taking them into the dentist and confessing. I'm sure with this , they would love to do it on their own and actually be accomplishing something!

What timing! My teenage daughter just came home from her dental appointment with a 'prescription' for one of these toothbrushes. My son just got his braces 3 months ago and this would be an excellent way for him to keep his teeth and braces clean! I had my wisdom teeth tooth a while back(at my age!) and my dentist suggested an electric toothbrush would be good to use. I have always been careful with brushing, but I feel an electric toothbrush can reach places I may forget or be too tired to brush in the evening.
