Oh, that's a bright child... hee!! I don't think my kids have any idea what one of those surf boards are for either. Because I suck like that. ;)
I just finished having a conversation with my 6 year old the other day about ironing. It went something like this...."when I was little Nanny use to have a day each week just for ironing. She would iron the pillowcases, tea towels, bed sheets and Papa's shirts for work." My six year old..." did she iron your clothes too Mommy? Did she iron your underwear?!" My response...."no she didn't iron my underwear but I'm sure some people use to iron their underwear!" My 6 year was quiet for a while then replied..."I don't get it... why do you iron something that's just going to get wrinkles in it again?"
Exactly.....why do we!! It's one of those things you really must ask yourself!! This just feeds perfectly into my current...."I need a simpler life" feeling!!
some people still iron underwear! My mother loves to iron and finds it therapy and I can honestly say I have ironed 8 times in the last 10 years! Thanks for sharing your story.
wicked blog cheers for posting.
