I love the moment when a child sees the finished product they are to do and says "I can't do that" and I have the opportunity to show them that they can.
It can take a long time
Not every minute of it is fun.
It starts with the horizon line
and the layering of colour between swims
and then so many dots you can go crazy
but not before the unexpected tall trees
and then the moment when they realize they can.
And all these little girls say "This canvas doesn't seem as big as when it was blank"
Well, no one understands that more than me.
