I do several Original Family Portraits a year. The families are so excited about them. The surprise of giving something original and homemade is spectacular.
I get to help make it happen.
In my studio, I work with the kids in a given family, they tell me their stories, they talk of tradition and memories, they paint when they think they don't know how to, and surprise themselves by enjoying it. The mom comes to pick up and everyone is proud and excited.
This makes me feel wonderful.
This time of the year I do many and it catapults me into the spirit of the season.
It feels like a little bit of magic.
