Stephen Colbert recently taped 4 episodes of The Colbert Report from Iraq, from the US military headquarters, Camp Victory, Colbert has said that with everyone - viewers AND the media - focusing their attentions on economy, economy, economy, people are forgetting about the US troops overseas who have been fighting a six year war.
The series, called "Operationg Iraqi Stephen: Going Commando" includes the usual Colbert witty banter...he even poked fun at the troops by saying, "It must be nice here in Iraq because I understand some of you keep coming back again and again. You've earned so many frequent flyer miles, you've earned a free ticket to Afghanistan.".
But, by far, the biggest crowd pleaser has been when his one of his guests, Gen. Ray Odierno, accepted an order to shave Colbert's head via videotape from US President Barack Obama.

I like Stephen Colbert, but I always feel just a little off-balance watching his show...
