and now he's publicly apologizing to his staff and his wife...
So, what do you think about this? Does this change your opinion of him? Will this whole scandal affect how you watch The Late Show??!"I'm terribly sorry that I put the staff in that position. Inadvertently, I just wasn't thinking ahead. And, moreover, the staff here has been wonderfully supportive to me, not just through this furor, but through all the years that we've been on television and especially all the years here at CBS, so, again, my thanks to the staff for, once again, putting up with something stupid I've gotten myself involved in.
Now the other thing is my wife, Regina. She has been horribly hurt by my behavior, and when something happens like that, if you hurt a person and it's your responsibility, you try to fix it. And at that point, there's only two things that can happen: either you're going to make some progress and get it fixed, or you're going to fall short and perhaps not get it fixed, so let me tell you folks, I got my work cut out for me."

He's still funny.
I never watched the show, although I've always appreciated his humour and wit. I can never fully decide what I think of these types of scandals. On the one hand, whose business is it who he is sexually involved with, as long as it's consensual? It really only is his (and his wife's and his lovers') business, so why should it change our opinions of him as a talk show host? On the other hand, why, oh why can there never be a famous person (movie star, TV star, politician or otherwise) who can actually keep their "staff" in their pants??? So in that way, I guess I feel some kind of disappointment, but probably shouldn't. Does that make any sense?
What happens between Dave and Regina is there business... unless God forbid please... they bring it out into the open like Jon and Kate!
We will have to wait and see if any of the women involved come forward with complaints. Maybe they were all fine with it. But what about the women who were not involved? Do they feel the women who were got better opportunities or pay?
What is interesting is that CBS is not actually involved in the running of his show! His company owns the show and rents time to air it from CBS. So any law suit will not involve CBS.
