With film parties every night and great lounges set up all
over downtown, the city is buzzing with
TIFF12. We've still got a few days of film-viewing to go, so there's
still several parties and lots of great movies to see. And of course, celebs to
spot!
Check out our wrap-up of what the stars were up to these
past several days while in Toronto!
AMC Storys and the Virgin Mobile Arts and Cinema Centre was
one of THE places to be these last few days. They're located just steps from Bell Lightbox and home of the SoHo House at last year's TIFF. They welcomed a great collection
of celebrities Friday night at the TIFF 2012 premiere reptions for three movies - What Maisie Knew, Ginger & Rosa and Seven Psychopaths. On Monday night, they also hosted the after
party for The Iceman. If you missed being there, here's our recap!
"What Maisie Knew" party - Friday night
This was the party of the night, as guests kept pouring in
to catch a glimpse of all the stars as they celebrated the premiere of What Maisie Knew. The large, floor to ceiling windows offered guests a lovely view
of downtown Toronto, which was sparkling in the rain. Guests stayed dry and
comfortable inside sipping on wine, Grolsch beer and cocktails as they charged
their phones at the Virgin Mobile charging station.
True Blood's Alexander Skarsgard is one of the stars of the movie and looked dashing in a grey suit. His tall, handsome figure was hard to miss, even in the dark party setting. That
man can wear a potato sack and will be a standout! He was sipping on a Grolsch
and jumped in the Virgin Mobile photo booth with friends.
Decked out in a top hat and red hair, Alison Mosshart from
The Kills kept the music lively and chatted at length with Julianne Moore and
Skarsgard during the set.
Ginger & Rosa reception - Friday night
This premiere got off to a late start, but
guests were more than happy to extend the night for the premiere reception. AMC Storys made a great late-night hangout for
Christina Hendricks, whose old-Hollywood glam fit right in at the posh lounge
area. Hendricks looked stunning in a dark blue gown and emerald jewelry. The
rain didn't dampen the spirits of young stars Alice Englert and Elle Fanning,
who were all smiles as they chatted through the night at the event. Fanning
looked young and funky in a purple plaid suit and black platform heels and
signed autographs for lucky fans as she entered the building.

Seven Psychopaths party - Friday night
Alliance Films hosted a lively party for the TIFF premiere
of their film on Friday at the Arts & Cinema Centre. "Guess Canada" girls
were serving up delicious cocktails to guests, who enjoyed tapas -- such as ceviche and croquettes -- from the soon-to-be opened restaurant
Patria. Modern, dimly lit chandeliers spanning the length of the bar created a
chill mood for the intimate affair. The stars of the movie mingled with the
guests included Woody Harrelson, Colin Firth, Sam Rockwell, Abbie Cornish and
Christopher Walken, who all enjoyed the tapas fare and mingled with guests at
the soon-opening Toronto restaurant Patria.
Abbie Cornish out-shined the room in a bright orange Giuilietta gown and
JustFab clutch.

The Iceman after-party - Monday night
Shortly after midnight a crowd of festive theatre-goers
descended on the four-story party space for the TIFF 2012 premiere after-party
for The Iceman. Much of the cast and crew arrived in a large group, ready for
their party, which ran into the wee hours of the morning (ushered in with a
delectable breakfast spread offered on the top floor at 2 a.m.). So cool!
Ray Liotta was there, as was Michael Shannon who sat in a
wing-backed chair and tried not to look like the tallest person in the room,
which was a little more difficult, as he was eye-catchingly handsome in an
almost ice-blue plaid suit. Gerard Butler, a drop-in to the party, casually
dressed in a grey t-shirt and sport coat, turned heads as he hung with The
Iceman crew at the party until late the next morning.
The always-friendly Stephen Dorff stopped by Storys for the
second night in the row. The star seemed to compete with Butler for the most female admirers in the
party, which spanned two floors, leaving more than enough admirers clamoring
for a chance of a photo with either actor.

Entertainment Tonight Canada's Festival Central Lounge
To take a break from the partying and movie premieres, the
stars have also been popping into Entertainment Tonight Canada's Festival
Central Lounge. While there, they sampled some of the 17 new flavours of frozen
yoghurt created especially for TIFF by Menchie's. Stars included Zac Efron who's in town to
promote his film At Any Price . He
swirled Creamsicle and Wildberry and topped it with Crispy Crunch, Sour Keys
and chocolate rocks. Actor/director Edward Burns was also there, as was Alexander Skarsgard who swirled both Creamsicle and Wildbery together.
Yum!!!!
