you decide: the Adolf Hitler Campbell edition
i don't even know where to start with this one y'all.
Heath and Deborah Campbell have three children: JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell, Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell and Adolf Hitler Campbell.

nice, right?
well, young Adolf Hitler Campbell is celebrating his third birthday this week. and this has caused a huge problem because the ShopRite where his parents went to get his birthday cake refused to write "Happy Birthday Adolf Hilter" on the cake for the Campbells.
"We believe the request ... to inscribe a birthday wish to Adolf Hitler is inappropriate," said Karen Meleta, a ShopRite spokeswoman. The supermarket offered to make the cake and leave space for the parents to write whatever message they wished.
The Campbells are upset..."ShopRite can't even make a cake for a 3-year-old," said Deborah Campbell, 25, "That's sad." They chose to have their cake done at Wal-Mart instead. Anna Taylor, a spokeswoman for Wal-Mart said the store won't put anything illegal or profane on a cake but thinks it's important to respect the views of customers and employees. Says Taylor, "Our No. 1 priority in decorating cakes is to serve the customer to the best of our ability."
Others, however, are applauding this decision. "Might as well put a sign around their (the children's) neck that says bigot, racist, hatemonger," said Anti-Defamation League director Barry Morrison. "What's the difference? It's doing them (the children) a tremendous disservice, and it's cruel that parents would place these names on children," he said. "It's a mark upon them. It sets them apart for ridicule, derision, attacks. The children at this age might not have an understanding of these names. But when they grow up, hopefully, they would want to distance themselves from them. If they come to identify with the ideology of Hitler, Himmler and the Aryan nations, their parents are launching them on a life of hatred."
What do you think about this? Do you think a name is just a name and the ShopRite should have gone ahead and made it for the Campbells, regardless of whether they are racists or not? or do you think the supermarket has the right not to fill this request?
(ps. as a child of two grandparents who survived the Auschwitz and Dachau camps...i think my opinion on this is obvious)
(this makes Bronx Mowgli look like an AWESOME name)
