Then and Now Week: 14 Pounds Lost: 30 As I sit down to write this exciting entry, I find myself inexplicably sombre. I've made it half-way to my ultimate weight loss goal (actually, I originally intended to lose 50 pounds, but then decided to up the ante to 60 pounds in order to have a BMI in the "healthy" range) and yet somehow, it seems anticlimactic. I Think I can, I Think I can... Week: 13 Pounds Lost: 28.2 Wow. Another four pounds last week and I am within one pound of being half-way to my final goal weight. Week 11 Pounds Lost 20 AAAAaaaggghhh! It happened again! This time I gained a whole pound, though. It sure got me down in the dumps, but it also got me thinking. Why did this happen? I could have sworn I had a "good week", meaning I stayed on program, making healthy choices and eating reasonable quantities. So why did I gain a pound? Well, let me take a step or two backwards and let you in on a little unsavoury tidbit about my personality: I'm a snob. Okay, not like "I won't be associated with you if you don't... More »
