The Sweet Smell of Success
Ahh...the sweet smell of success! both the Hubster and I are within 10 pounds of our Weight Watchers goal ranges. We can see the finish line, which we know by now is really the starting line. There's some kind of synchronicity in this, since we find ourselves evaluating our weight loss progress to date and our goals for the future around New Years - a time of year when people traditionally do the same in some or all aspects of their lives. In this spirit, I thought I'd take some time to review the symbol that Weight Watchers has chosen... More »
This is Your Ass...This is Your Ass in Lululemon...
Week: 30Pounds Lost: 47.4 Okay, time for those of you who took psych in university to dust off your freudian theory. Because I'm going to talk about my ass again today! Yes, it was only two weeks ago that I was looking for advice on how to handle the newly found problem of butt cleavage, and here I am again talking about said butt. Can you say "fixation" children? Well, to be fair, I am really writing more about having finally, finally made one of my most cherished and secret milestones - to buy (and look decent wearning) a pair... More »

Best. Week. EVER!
Week: 29 Pounds Lost: 47.4 I'm inventing a new weight-loss strategy (that's right, you heard it on urbanmoms.ca first!). I call it: THE START-OVER EFFECT(Hereinafter referred to as the SOE) It's very simple. You join a weight loss program (Weight Watchers, in my case). You lose some weight. Then you "take a break". See my posts here and here for details of my "break" (aka quitting spell). Then you go back...hard-core. And then! The results! The amazing results! The best week EVAH! (nod to Haley-O for that oh-so-emphatic "evah"). The SOE gave me a record-breaking SIX POUND LOSS last... More »

It's All About the Butt-Cleavage
As you all know, I went back to Weight Watchers last week after a semi-unintentional month-long hiatus. And now that I'm back at it again, I'm starting to have visions of "skinny me" dancing in my head once more.  I'm so excited to start seeing the pounds start to drop off again: next I'll go from a size 12 to a 10 (wow, was I ever really an EIGHTEEN?!??!). So to help rev things up a bit this week, I've been trying to stick closely to the Weight Watchers program, while also getting in some outdoor exercise every day (it's... More »

Paying the Piper - Weight Watchers Style!
Week: 28 Pounds Lost: 41.4 Thanks to everyone who commented on my last post! You lived up to your half of the bargain, and I'll live up to mine. I went to Weight Watchers this morning and weighed in, for the first time in FOUR WEEKS. I thought it had been three, but as you can see from my membership book at right, I had last weighed in - at an even 175 pounds, bringing in a 2.6 pound loss for that week - on November 4th. Now, I have to admit that I wasn't really too nervous going to... More »
