Week: 32Pounds Lost: 51 …plus c’est la mème chose. I lost one pound last week. It was not a bad week; now that I’m within ten pounds of my final goal, the weight is coming off more slowly. But that’s okay. I don’t even feel like I’m trying to lose weight anymore. That’s why I say that the more things change, the more they stay the same. Week:31 Pounds Lost: 50! Yes, fifty, FIFTY, FIFTY!!! Whew, okay, I've got it out of my system now. Oh, by the way, did I mention that I'VE LOST FIFTY POUNDS?!!? Okay, sorry, that was the last time :) see my Weight Watchers 50 lb congratulatory fridge magnet...wooo... But seriously...even though I'm actually only down 0.8 pounds over last week, somehow it makes a world of difference to be able to say "I've lost fifty pounds" instead of the somewhat less inspiring "I've lost 49.2 pounds". Week: 30 Pounds Lost: 49.2 Just before the holidays, my Weight Watchers leader challenged our group to set weight loss, maintenance or gain goals for the two weeks that covered the holiday season. She handed out little boxes with ribbons in them: you were to choose a green ribbon if you wanted to continue to lose weight over the holidays, yellow if you wanted to maintain your weight, and red for controlled weight gain (in the SINGLE digits, as our leader pointed out!) New Year's Day in our family is typically a quiet day: we take down the Christmas tree and other decorations, we put away all the new toys in the playroom, we have a light dinner, we read books and watch TV.
