Wow.

Who knew that doing a weirdo fad detox diet could put you off food entirely?

Today's regime was bananas & skim milk.

I was hungry to begin with, but amazingly enough, eating only bananas has a way of making you prefer hunger to eating. And I like bananas.

Get this though: I'm at the airport with my daughters, waiting for my parents to arrive. It's 6:15, the kids are starving. Okay, fine. I get them a donut & bagel at Timmy's. I want a bite of that buttery bagel so badly my mouth actually waters. For real. But I don't. You know...what's the point of doing this, if I don't DO it. As I said, this is as much about discipline as anything. And I proved to myself that I have discipline. In the form of five bananas, two cups of skim milk and a bowl of cabbage soup!

Next up: beef & tomatoes

Don't even start about Tim Horton's donuts. I think I'd give my right arm or my first born (okay, maybe the hubby instead) for a honey cruller & a maple dip right now.

Well, there were 2 maple dips consumed last night...neither of them by me, though! Cuz ya know, it was my medium ice cap and maple dip a day habit that got me in this weight loss mess to begin with!

i think that's how it works...it takes away your appetite completely! :)
