My name is Joy. President and founder of Wee-Knees Design Inc., knee pads for infants and toddlers. More importantly, I am Darcy's Mom, our little daughter, who inspired me to develop Wee-Knees.
Learning to crawl is meant to be fun, exciting, confidence building! Not so in our family. This supposed forerunner to taking that momentous FIRST STEP was painful for both of us. I soon discovered however, that I was not alone, as many moms expressed similar sentiments.
Following countless bruises, scrapes and scratches from crawling on everyday household surfaces, such as hardwood floors, ceramic tiles and patio stones, I was ready to pull my hair out! I kept wishing Darcy would just hurry through this stage and finally walk!
I thought it unbelievable that in today's world with the emphasis on safety and protection for kids in sports, that there was virtually nothing for infants and babies. "Why had no one ever thought of inventing knee protection for these little people?"
After considerable research, trial and error, and finally our latest focus group testimonials, it was proven that we had a winning product. Wee-Knees was Born, and ready to take its' first step into the marketplace.
