I have always loved video games. From the early days of pong, space invaders and PacMan to my teen love of Zelda, SuperMario and Tetris to today and our various home gaming systems. But no system has rocked my world and impressed me like the new Xbox 360 Kinect. This thing is seriously amazing, folks.
Recently my son's hockey team spent some time at the Xbox Kinect Experience in Toronto. This space was open to the public right downtown in anticipation of the system's launch. Anyone could drop in and try it out. This was the perfect location for a pre-holiday celebration for these hockey and gaming loving boys! This system is the perfect combination of physical and fun. The totally cool factor? YOU are your controller!

And the big surprise? Look who took home the boxing trophy:

I love the pic of the boxing champ!!! so great!
I can not tell you how proud that little girl was beating the Big Boys! Seriously though, this was SO much fun. You notice, though, that I didn't post the pics of me playing...or losing to Jen from Trend Watch in the sprint...shhhhh.
I'm glad to finally hear from someone who has tried it out. It's bought and wrapped and waiting for Christmas day! I was in line at Old Navy on the weekend before 7am to get a free Dance Central game for Kinect. Everyone in line was chatting about the Kinect - everyone had one, but no one had tried it yet! If it lives up to what I've read, it makes me wonder what we will do with the wii and all those games and accessories I've invested in!
I know there's video footage out there somewhere (complete with you shoving me after I'm declared winner and new world champion in the 100m dash). Got to find that...
