Mom's The Word

Where you'll find me...

I love what I do here at UrbanMoms for many reasons but one of the things I enjoy the most is the opportunity to travel to all sorts of interesting places. Many of them are locations I have never even heard of, secret little gems. Another bonus is that most of the time I get to take someone along with me.

So, tomorrow morning my husband and I, in celebration of 15 years married (gulp), will be heading down south to Anna Maria Island Florida. We will spend a few days here:

Enjoying some of this:

And then moving on to Tradewinds Island Resort in St. Pete's for a little bit of this:

And hopefully some of this:

My hubby and I on our 10 year anniversary trip to the Carolinas.

A little relaxation and reflection together after 15 years of marriage is a good thing, I think, because having kids definitely puts stress on a relationship. Do you and your partner take time together away from the kids? What do you do?

Have a fantastic time! What a wonderful way to celebrate 15 years. Hope the weather's great and you get lots of chillin' time!

Have fun! I couldn't agree more! It is when Hubby and I get to spend more than 24 uninterrupted hours that I remember why I like him so much. The busy-ness of our days give way to humor and genuine enjoyment of similar things. It'll be 17 years for us this September. You have inspired me to start planning now!

My husband and I have a 2 year old and a baby so no big holidays alone yet but definitely on our 'to-do' list for the future. At the moment we are just planning dinners out together as I am breast feeding but definitely looking for a night away in the future as it is so wonderful to have that protected time just to chat with my best friend.

Congratulations! My hubby and I just celebrated our 15 years last week. There is nothing like some time to focus on each other.

We haven't yet... one child has moved out of the baby-stage, which means I've been sprung from baby prison (maybe from maximum to minimum security...) but we have no family close by to help. I'm thinking we need to get a babysitter for a weekend one of these days... and I'm thinking Vegas, baby. One day.

Indeed, I think this is super important for marriages, Jen. Good for you!! I hope you have excellent, fun, sexy times. ;)

Looks amazing! Happy anniversary! we celebrated our 10 year anniversary last year with a trip without kids to New York City. It was perfect. Next time, we want to do something hot/sunny though, so i'm eager to read about your trip!

HAVE A BLAST !!! and a Cocktail (or 5) for me...CHEERS

Happy Anniversary. Totally agree that couples need the time away and fully support any decision that involves travel to a warm destination! Enjoy every minute of it.

We haven't yet, but I have been thinking that soon, I would like to try it. maybe this fall, or maybe next spring for our 15th.

Happy anniversary!

Happy anniversary Jen - you make me believe that you actually CAN find the right person! Congrats on 15!
