Mom's The Word

Switch Your Toothbrush and WIN!

I will admit, I have been somewhat of a naysayer when it comes to electric toothbrushes. My teeth seem to be fine with the good ol' manual brush (although my dentist has been encouraging me to switch for a while) but I couldn't imagine it would make that much of a difference so I never bothered making the switch. Until today.

Today marks Day 1 in the Switch Your Toothbrush Challenge and thanks to a gift from the folks at Philips Sonicare I am on board to give it a go. I just needed a little encouragement which came in the form of this beauty:

Philips FlexCare+ HX6972_10+Angled Left with Sanitizer Closed_Low Res[1].jpg

I will like to get my teeth cleaner and have a clear feeling mouth :)

My motivation to switch is:

- my gum health (I need the sensitive mode due to my sensitive teeth); currently I have gingivits so I need all to achieve a gentle, yet effective, brushing
-sometimes I am in a rush; however, a two minute timer is a great help
-I am an avid coffee drinker, so help in the "stain department" is always accepted with open arms
-a quadpacer is also helpful ... so that I stay focused and on track

I can understand why an electric brush would do a better job than a manual brush, one motivation for me is after brushing with a manual I run my tounge along the teeth and many times feel a rough spott, so I have to brush again. I have a bit of arthritis so an electric would be so much easier. I really should get them for the family but we always seem to need the money to go elsewhere.

I am petrified of the dentist and therefore crazy for a clean mouth and clean teeth. It seems that anything that would help me on that front is worth a try. This looks like a great toothbrush.

Uch! So sad not to be eligible for this contest, but I've been wondering about changing to an electric toothbrush for some time now too... and I've been hesitant for exactly the same reasons as you, Jen. Promise to post your results! I just might have to get one if you insist the change is mandatory. ;)

I want to make the switch for better oral health as an example for my son.

I'd like to switch to an electronic toothbrush because I often feel like my teeth and mouth are not clean enough with manual brushing. I think it would be a great switch for my kids too.

Electronic toothbrushes do most of the work for you, leaves your teeth, mouth and gums feeling fresh and clean, less trips to the dentist would be nice!

It would do a more thorough cleaning.

I would like to make the switch. I love the way my teeth feel after I have had them polished by the dental hygienist. I think an electric toothbrush may create the same feeling of a thorough cleaning.

I have not tried an electric brush but i hear so many good things and i think it would polish my teeth better.

I would love to make the switch to an electric toothbrush because I have unfortunately inherited terrible teeth and gums from my family. I am very prone to gingivitis and cavities thanks to my genetic make-up and therefore any help I can get would be amazing at this point. I would like to avoid the sad visits to my dentist where he sighs and says "oh here's another cavity". Thanks!

I would make the switch in a second. The electric toothbrush is so much better.

I would love to have an electric toothbrush, my dental hygenist recommends them as they are so much better for your gums!

My dentist recommended that I buy one because my teeth and gums are so sensitive.

It makes a difference.

I think it would do a better job cleaning than I can on my own.

to avoid being lazy

Because I have the worst teeth in the world and I need every little bit of help right now.

The Sonicare would do a better job of cleaning my teeth than my manual toothbrush.

lazy and easy!

The sonicare would remove more plaque than my manual toothbrush

My husband's dentist is always after him to switch, (I already have), but neither the dentist nor I can convince him....I'm sure that if he tried it, he'd never use a manual brush again. I just want another opportunity to say, "see honey, I was right, AGAIN".

I'm thinking this would be a great way to encourage better dental care for the entire family.

better oral health.

My dentist actually recommended that electric toothbrushes would be better for me and my family.

I am motivated to switch from a manual toothbrush to an electric one for a number of reasons:

~I have a horrible time choosing a manual toothbrush when it's time to buy a new one! There are so many varieties available - I am consistently puzzled as to which one should I choose?!

~My mornings are constantly rushed and I feel as though I never have the time to brush my teeth for as long as I would like to - (i.e. thoroughly as I would like to!!)

~I would like to brush my teeth thoroughly and EFFORTLESSLY!!..(especially during my morning rush!)

~I drink coffee and red wine - and feel as though manual toothbrushes don't remove as much off my teeth as they should.

I am very interested in changing up my teeth cleaning routine and am motivated to try an electric toothbrush and give it a 'whirl' - (literally!)!

my gum health affecting overall health

I would like to win this because my dentist has suggested that I need to use a brush like this, but they are so expensive that I have never bought one.

My dentist has been telling me to switch to an electric toothbrush for years.

My dentist recommends electric toothbrush for myself and my kids - my youngest keeps on getting cavities!

I love the feel of my teeth when they are freshly cleaned, this would likely be amazing.

I love the way that my teeth feel after I use an electric tooth brush

my hygenist says electric cleans so much better than manual. So if I win Id get to find out!

I have used an electric toothbrush for many years and would not do without it. But my Braun is coming to the end of its life and I need a new one.

a recent trip to the dentist's office and then cleaning with the hygenist enlighted me about the benifits of using an electric toothbrush over the regular brushes. My hygenist strongly recommended switching to electric as it is better for better mouth and teeth health. And here you are having an electric toothbrush as a prize, I sure hope to win but I am still getting electric toothbrushes for the family.

I like how the gums are gently massaged..

I would like to make the switch. My teeth are desperate for a good cleaning.

I would love to make the switch to see how different my mouth will feel.

My motivation to switch would be to win a free electric toothbrush. I would like to have cleaner gum and tooth. I kind of rush brushing my teeth and miss some spot as a result.

I have plaque build up and gum issues, probably from brushing too hard with a regular toothbrush all my life. I think the pressure sensors and efficiency of an electric toothbrush is just what I need to fully clean my teeth while not having to worry "Should I brush like this, or like that?" It'll feel like another person is doing all the thinking for me and give me a break. :)

I would switch to electric to improve my gum health and get a better cleaning experience!

I would switch for the sake of my gums being healthier.

I would like to switch to get a healthier mouth, sometimes I neglect to floss and properly care for my teeth but with a great brush like this I think my overall dental health would improve!

I want to help motivate my daughter to be a better brusher (longer and more thorough)!

would like to switch so I would have a cleaner and brighter smile! :) there are also some good health benefits too!

Switch? I would love to switch (i.e. a real switch) instead of holding a manual toothbrush. Great contest!

I want to switch so I have whiter brighter and healthier teeth.

My gums bleed easily and I know that's not a good thing. I just haven't gotten around to switching!

I have carpal tunnel in both wrists and some mornings, grasping that little toothbrush and scrubbing my teeth is literally a pain. Plus, these do a much better job than a manual brush!

I have never tried these type of tooth brushes and would like to see the difference.

Would like to try something new!

I drink way too much dark pop and my smile suffers for it. I would love to have a whiter smile. I also have a lot of space between my teeth and my normal brush doesn't always reach there without a lot of extra effort. I would love to give this a try!!

Having a family of five keeps us busy keeping up with brushing teeth! This would be a great way to entice the kids to brush and to keep up our oral health! :)

I drink way too much dark pop and my smile suffers for it. I would love to have a whiter smile. I also have a lot of space between my teeth and my normal brush doesn't always reach there without a lot of extra effort. I would love to give this a try!!

Our family could really use the timer. Getting rid of the coffee stains on my teeth would be a wonderful thing!

I would like to switch for a multitude of reasons:
- have had salivary glands removed, and decreased saliva means dryer mouth
- coffee stains
- seeing some change in my gumline (that can't be a good thing)
- would clean better than a manual toothbrush
- haev some hard to reach spots that may be brushed better with an electric brush

Thanks for the contest opportunity!

I would love to leave the manual toothbrush era and enter the new age of new clean. No matter how many times I brush I don't think that my manual toothbrush is hitting the right areas and with a history of gum disease in my family, I would love a to feel confident with a new smile knowing after I brush my teeth that they are actually cleaner

Although I brush regularly, I have to admit I'm lazy when it comes to doing it properly. Trying this type of toothbrush would make this chore a whole lot easier to handle and manage.

I would like to try it to compare how clean my teeth and gums feels afterwards from regular brushing.

Electric toothbrushes do a better job than manual ones with less energy so it makes sure you don't miss a brush when you are really tired or lazy. Plus it's easier!!

My dental hygienist recommended it. I will have cleaner teeth if I use it.

I have REALLY sensitive teeth and a child who has oral sensory issues. I would love to try this product. It would benefit our family tremendously! :)

I try to take really good care of my teeth but sometimes I worry that I'm not doing enough. Am I replacing my family's toothbrushes often enough? How long should I brush? Is my toothbrush clean enough, or is it harboring a gazillion germs? A Philips Sonicare kit would really help my family on the right track.

I try to take care of my teeth, but with a little one it is hard to remember to brush for long enough! I currently use the Oral B electric and would love to compare it to the philips

My reasons for switching are because I feel that with a regular toothbrush I don't brush long enough. I like how an electric toothbrush times it out for me. Also, my husband is such a firm believer in electric that he has switched us all. Also, I have learned how to use it properly and I think that really makes a difference too.

I'm totally motivated... I just had my two oldest kids at the dentist and found out their mouths are full of cavities!! I felt like I took pretty good care of their teeth, so I need all the help I can get!

My dentist tells me I have to do a better job brushing my teeth to remove plaque . This would go a long way to achieving that goal

My motivation to switch would be to effectively clean my teeth without harming my gums. I love that it features three different cleaning modes. After doing some research I learned that it has a ProResults brush head that provides better plaque removal. I want to have a whiter brighter smile and healthier teeth.

My motivation to switch would be for a better (and easier) way to stay healthy overall, as oral health can have great impact on your overall health. Also, I doubt I'd be able to afford it on my own, so why not try and win one? :)

My oral health has been really bad since my last pregnancy... difficult to keep clean and very sensitive. I think this toothbrush with the sensative mode is just what I need!

I have 5 children who all use electric toothbrushes. I tell them that it cleans there teeth better so it's better for them. They want to know why I don't use one....I don't know what to tell them....maybe I should

I would love to have one! It would do my teeth and gums wonders. I can just imagine how clean my teeth and gums will be and feel. A manual toothbrush just doesn't do the job anymore!

Electric tooth brushes definitely work for my kids - I guess I should start too!

Every time I go to the dentist I am asked if I have made the switch yet. I have graduated from a manual to a battery operated toothbrush, which I thought was just as good as an electric. Unfortunately my detiist feels otherwise. If I were to win a Philips Sonicare, you will make me happy and I won't have to hear it from my dentist anymore, lol.

I blame my parents, but I have always struggled with having cavities, even though I am diligent about brushing flossing etc. Now I stress the importance of toothbrushing with my kids. This would be a great way to improve on what I have already started to do with my family.
Thanks!

I would love to switch to an electric toothbrush because my dentist says they work much better than even a battery-powered one. I've been trying hard to keep my teeth and gums in great condition and this would be a great help in my quest.

I've become far more interested in my dental health lately and I think this would help a lot.

Well, I have four children and you can imagine the struggle I go through morning and night to get them to brush their teeth. I think if it was 'motorized' they would be brushing their teeth morning, noon and night! They would just think it was the coolest thing! And of course, mom and dad would benefit as well - cleaner teeth, fresher mouth! How could you go wrong? Thanks and good luck to all!

I would like to switch as i hear that it is better for oral health. But i think it would be gentler on my teeth as i sometimes brush to hard with a manual toothbrush and my gomes are receeding.

i'm getting married in the fall and I know that this toothbruch would do a much better job meeting my goal of white, healthy teeth. and since I know how important oral care is for one's health, it isn't just about appearances!!

What a great way to teach kids good dental habits. They'd love this, as would I, it's supposed to be so much more effective than a manual brush. I also think it would help because I tend to brush with too much pressure and it wears my gums away, this would be gentler. Help me switch!

My husband was told to switch a few years ago due to his gums receding. He brushed too hard with a manual. I've been meaning to get myself one for months since he says it's the best toothbrush ever. I'm a lazy brusher so I thin a Sonicare would help me do a better job :)

Anything that will get my son to brush longer is a real bonus. I'm sure this would do the trick.

My daughter has weak teeth and hates to brush but this "toy" might get her going.

I have always worried about my oral health. I have tried different products that are on the market before but never ventured to the electric toothbrushes due to the cost. I would love to try it out and see if they're worth the investment.

My teeth are not in the best shape and I try to keep them as good as I can. An electric toothbrush will help me keep them cleaner by getting stuff that a manual toothbrush ignores. I also would love the electric because I have 4 children that don't seem to want to brush and I don't want their teeth looking like mine.

Cleaner teeth and gums, my dentist would be impressed.

I would like to switch to electric toothbrush for having cleaner and healthier teeth.

I'd like a cleaner feeling mouth.

I switched years ago on the advice of my dentist and would never go back to a manual brush. My mouth feels so much cleaner and fresher with the electric brush.

The timer sounds like a really good option to get everyone brushing. I would love to have cleaner healthier teeth and gums.

I just had my teeth cleaned and all my fillings redone, it would be such a great way to start fresh!

Wow, I would something like this for my family. At my recent dentist trip they recommend a sonic toothbrush to use instead of a manual. Hopefully the switch would make for better news at the dentist office.

I would love this for my family, I was recently able to take my 9 yr old back to the dentist after a horrible experience.. Our new dentist is very good with the kids and my 4 yr old has gone in for her cleaning and a capping of her back teeth because they have such deep grooves. If we won Im hoping that we would be able to go in with NO Cavities next time. that woudl be great... Thanks so much for the chance to win this what a great prize.

My motivation would be the tablets the dentist gave me to show plaque! I used one and my mouth lit up like the strip in Vegas! I was by myself but embarassed none the less. I need to do something to fix this and maybe the Philips Sonicare FlexCare+ can do the trick. I would love to win this now that I have been exposed to "plaque pills"!

My DS (he's 5) has a very bad gag reflex and I have a very hard time getting him to brush his teeth properly. Last dentist visit I was told that he needs to clean his back teeth a little better. I was told that to try an electric toothbrush and that it would help his gag reflex.

I would something like this for myself. Dentist has recommend a sonic toothbrush to use instead of a manual. Hope to win

Winning a Philips Sonicare system would help to ensure that dental check ups proceed much more smoothly for me and my girls!

I think it could make tooth brushing time a bit more fun to get the kids to want to do it more!

Ugh, because using a manual toothbrush is so boring!

I brush my teeth too hard, even with a soft tooth brush, so it would be nice to try an electric one (my dentist has been urging me to switch too).

Despite being an adult and having most of my teeth full of fillings, I still get bad reports from the dentist. I am so sick of fillings, and I'd love to see if this made a difference.

My motivation is to have cleaner teeth and healthier gums!!!

I think it would do a better job cleaning than our family current method

I began using a battery powered toothbrush recently, and it did make some difference in the health of my teeth and gums, but the batteries only last so long, lol. I would love to switch to the Phillips toothbrush, and to have one for my son would be awesome as he loves the motor toothbrushes, but again they are battery operated.

Seeing everyone else here wanting to switch, make me encouraged enough to try it myself :)

I've tried them and like everything else battery-powered in our house, they end up having their batteries robbed when the batteries run out in the Wii remotes! Seriously though, I felt like they were a more consistent way to brush and the kids all use the (cheaper) battery operated ones.

I love that it will remove more plaque than a manual toothbrush. It would also be great for teaching kids good oral health!

After spending a lot of money at the Pediatic dentists, this would be awesome to win if I can keep my kids away from more surgery. Besides, if it will help me get to the dentist every 6 months instead of 4 would be awesome too:)

We have been wanting to switch for awhile now just so many other things need the money first.

My dentist has been telling me I need to switch to an electric toothbrush. My jaw is very small with teeth close together, and the Philips Sonicare would be great in allowing me to get my teeth as clean as possible.

I've used manual brushes all my life...I'd like to give this a try one day (my dentist would be very happy too).

Not sure I am yet totally motivated to switch.... However, that having been said - this toothbrush looks so 'neat and tidy' and would make the bathroom less messy. That might be the push I would need to switch.

We would like to switch to electric toothbrushes because I have been noticing a lot of plaque being left on my kids' teeth after brushing, and I think these brushes would really make a difference.

I never know if i am brushing well or long enough, so having a electric brush would helpfull here. Would love to win this for my wife and I.

I have to get cleanings every three months as my gums are recessed. I also have extremely sensitive teeth. I have also had gum surgery which I never want to go through again! The dentist told me an electric toothbrush would be ideal for my teeth. I also think it would help with the battle with my kids brushing their teeth.
Thanks

I am motivated to make the switch!

I have a habit of avoiding the dentist at all costs. I have my twice yearly clean and check up. I floss twice a day in the hope that I will never again have another cavity. (I hate needles) Gum health is a great motivator for me too! My daughter drinks a lot of coffee and I drink tea. I think my daughter's lovely smile is a great motivator to make the switch...permanently.

I have to admit I do rush through the morning teeth brushing and focus more of my kiddies doing theres then myself doing my own. This would save me so much time so that 1 i dont have to worry about my teeth being super clean, but it will ensure with the time i have even when rushing they will be super clean!!

I'd love to make the switch because I love how much cleaner the teeth feel when brushed with an electric toothbrush . I used to have a sonicare but it finally died on me, it would be great to have one again.

I am always looking for new ways to get my son to brush his teeth each day. Maybe if I won this, he will think the vibration on his teeth and gums would feel cool and he would want to do it more often?

My dentist suggested it & as my gums are sensitive this could work.

Also, as my kidlets have them, I should also.

I have been looking at them for quite a while and would really like to try one. I think they probably do a better more thurough job of teeth cleaning!

I would switch because I think the electric brush would leave my teeth and gums feeling cleaner. I think it would help to ensure my teeth were brushed long enough each time as well.

My motivation is that my family really struggles with dental issues and anything that could improve our dental health is something that I want to try!

I've been wanting to try them for a while but have just not been able to afford to make the switch! I really do think they would do a much better job and I would love to take better care of my teeth and my kids' teeth!

I've just returned from a vacation with a less than ideal manual toothbrush. I know an electric toothbrush would be just what I need to get my and my family's teeth back in dentist-ready order really quickly. Sounds like a win-win situation to me! Thanks.

My motivation would be for cleaner teeth and less expense at the dentist's office. With the electric toothbrush doing all the work, who wouldn't want to try it?

I can understand why an electric brush would do a better job than a manual brush, one motivation for me is to have a healthy mouth. And my son's would probably enjoy this type of brush and have a way better healthy teeth:)

My Motivation would be to stop the my receding gums no matter what I have done it seems the dentist is always telling me to floss more I thought three times a day was good guess not and to switch my tooth paste and my toothbrush I have done it all and I would love to try this product to see if it helps my mouth be what my dentist wants it to be and to show my kids that it pays off when you try new things. And to show them what it is like to use a electric toothbrush brushing there teeth could become a more exciting time of the day and I think it would pay off lol.

My motivation is that I've noticed myself getting more cavities lately. I don't know if it's something I've changed or just age but this brush looks like it may help.

My motivation would be to get rid of the tartar around my gumline that regular brushing and flossing seems to never get rid of. We drink alot of coffee that stains teeth and brushing daily never seems to stop the staining. And its fun to use electric brushes!

I would love to try an electric toothbrush, however, I'm wondering if the heads
would be too hard...otherwise, I'd love one if they have soft or xtra soft heads.

I'd like to switch for a few reasons:

* Toothbrushes are not environmentally friendly and get tossed in teh garbage every 6 months

* My son is very hard on the brushes (and his teeth) and I've got to replace them so often

*Using an electric toothbrush has a 'fun' factor that manually brushing cannot compare to!

I'd love to try out the Philips Sonicare FlexCare+!

Good timing, my daughter will have braces soon, it's very important to keep her teeth clean during the whole course. Our family also model to brush our teeth at least twice a day. The effect will be nicer if using the electric tooth brush.

I'd like to switch as I've watched my kids brush their teeth - or should I say suck on their toothbrushes without any actual brushing. At least with an electric toothbrush it could get the gunk off their teeth with minimal effort!!

Plus the dentist has recommended it for our family.

I would love, love, love to win this. My teeth never feel clean enough to me. I have also heard that these make an incredible difference so I 'd love to have one. my son would be a huge fan of the kids one also I'm sure.

I've read so much about the benefits of using electric toothbrushes, which seem to have become the paragons of effective oral health. As a mom, it's so important for me to instill good life-long healthy brushing habits to my son. With the efficiency of the electric toothbrush making that task easier and potentially more fun, that is a definite win!

As for myself, I've always believed that good health starts from the mouth. Case in point, throughout pregnancy, I read about how oral health impacts the development of the fetus! Ease of us, coupled with the fact that the Sonicare FlexCare is effective in reducing staining and gum disease, and it appears that we have a winning combination.

I'd love to try out the Philips Sonicare FlexCare+!

I bet these brushes get those hard to reach places a lot easier than a manual brush, nothing like a fresh mouth feeling! I would love to win this!

My motivation to switch would be to effectively clean my family's teeth, we have a 4 year old and a two year old, I would love to take better care of our teeth, we've been wanting to try them for a while but have just not been able to afford to make the switch from a manual toothbrush yet. I was reading up on Philips Sonicare electric toothbrushes after doing some research I learned that it has a ProResults brush head that provides better plaque removal it features two different cleaning modes. I want my family and I to have healthier teeth. Thank you!

I am a lazy brusher - though lucky I have good teeth - my kids take after me so they have been lucky to not have cavities - but they sure deserve to, especially my son. He's 13 and just got a twin block to help lengthen his bottom jaw. The Ortho said he needs to take better care at brushing so maybe the electric will encourage him - it's like a controller with buttons after all - ha.

I used to brush my oldest teeth regularly (he was young at the time). When his twin brothers were born time was scarce and much of the brushing was left up too him - within 6 month his dental check up was poor, there were cavities. So we had to go back to brushing them in the evening for him. Now his brothers keep me busy so an electronic brush would definitely help get me some time back.

I would love to win this! My son has had very bad problems with his teeth due to weak enamel. He had his first root canal at 4 years old! Anything I can do to help him brush his teeth more effectively (and my daughter too for that matter) would be wonderful.

I would live this for various reasons. One being after getting braves in my late 20's (which was harsh) I want to maintain my teeth and healthy gums. In addition, I think it's fundamental to teach my twin girls about the importance of keeping your teeth and gums healthy and believe this would help! It's something that you wouldn't necessarily go out and buy yourself for the whole family but would be fantastic to win the opportunity to incorporate this into our daily habits. Thanks!

I think it would do a better job cleaning than I can on my own.

I've been thinking about getting an electric toothbrush for everyone in my family for a while. My daughter is 3 and she is OBSESSED with brushing her teeth, and still managed to get a little cavity (yes I feel awful about it!) Our dentist isn't worried about it since it's a baby tooth and a VERY small cavity, but I'm worried about it. I think an electric toothbrush would do a much better job.

Have heard that the electric toothbrush does a better job than manual. I think our family would benefit from a new system. Our three year old has just started doing it on her own and this would be a bonus for our oral health.

My dentist recommended that I get an electric toothbrush because it does a more thorough cleaning. I think I would prefer an electric toothbrush over my manual toothbrush that I now use.

my husband doesn't brush as often as he should and i think, if we switch, he will start. plus i know i could do with a cleaner mouth! who couldn't?? :)

I definately have the motivation to switch! My oral health isnt that good right now,so this would be a great improvement to my overall oral health, teeth and gums!

My husband and dentist have been telling me for years to switch to an electric tooth brush but I havent been able to give up my manual yet. I have noticed recently that i have gotten 2 cavities and my son has one. So maybe its time to make the switch. I just can't let my husband know that he might be right!! :)

I have been going the extra length trying to fight receding gums. I find as I get older, and with some medications, oral care requires extra attention. This would be a great step in the right direction.

My motivation to switch would be to get our teeth their cleanest. I've always heard that electric toothbrushes are far superior in removing plaque from the hidden or hard to reach areas which makes me very intrigued to ditch my regular toothbrush in favour of an electric model.

I use an Oral B electric brush, it is great. I used to brush so hard with a manual brush I wore down my gums and had to have a skin graft...not fun.

I would like to try a different brush to see if this one does a better job.

To me switching means more than having great oral health, so much of our overall body health is affected by how well we take care of our teeth, gums and tongue! Having an electric brush would aid in keeping my mouth clean as well as my whole body which is so necessary.... even if I don't win, I know my whole family will switch!

Would like to try it.

Would be nice to know that you have clean teeth, gums, tongue and just a wonderful clean mouth.

I seem to need scaling more often than most people due to dry mouth. I'm hoping this would help

I would love to try new technology
as now I'm using 7 years old electrical toothbrush
replacing heads every 2 months - would love to try something new for me and whole family...
hope to win and get for my family better dental/oral hygiene with new two Flexcare+ toothbrushes and two Sonicare for Kids toothbrushes valued at $580!

I'd like to try an electric toothbrush because that last time I went to the hygenist she said that I had a build up on my back molars. I brush my teeth alot so I was surprised. Perhaps an electric would help with that.

My motivation is being pregnant with my first child! I want my husband and me to be as healthy as possible for our new arrival!

I want to switch because my teeth and mouth don't always feel clean after brushing with a manual toothbrush. I drink a lot of coffee so I need the extra cleaning!

I want to switch as I know that I frequently brush my teeth too hard, so this way the toothbrush would be doing the correct amount of pressure as well as getting in those tight spaces. Also who wouldn't love to keep their teeth as tartar and cavity free as possible.

I have never used an electric toothbrush, so this would be a first for me. I would be interested in seeing the results.

I would love to try this for myself, but more importantly, for my children! I know as a busy Mom I don't take as good care of my teeth as I used to, and don't make the time for regular check ups (which isn't a good excuse, but there it is!). My children put forth a decent effort, but at 6, 4, and 2 - fun is key! They love colourful, interesting, jiggling and moving toothbrushes.

I have 3 small boys to get ready in the morning... and to get all of them up, dressed, fed, dressed again, get their stuff together, separate about 20 fights, hair brushed, and their teeth brushed, it leaves me about 30 seconds for me to brush mine. If I had an electric toothbrush.... we could all do it together, because I know that the electric cleans better, because my dentist says so!

I am motivated to try switching to an electric toothbrush as it has been recommended by her dentist to use an electric one to help keep her gums healthy. If she saw me using one then i think she would be more inclined to use hers.

I would love to win this for my girls, they love having their teeth brushed so they would think an electric toothbrush is a hoot!

I would love to switch to this toothbrush to have cleaner teeth and gums. I'm sure this toothbrush would do a much better job than my battery powered one!

for better mouth health for me and my child

My dentist recommends using an electric toothbrush

my son has been bugging me to buy him a spinbrush forever lol i would love to switch if it was more affordable lol if it proves to do a better job i will switch as the dentist is extremely expensive and if this toothbrush helps prevent cavaties i will try it !

I would love to switch to this toothbrush! I believe it will clean better than a manual toothbrush. Having a healthy mouth leads to overall health!!

My current toothbrush doesn't make my teeth feel perfectly cleaned and smooth. I would like a toothbrush that makes my mouth feel cleaned after my morning brushing, until I come home at night. It should make me feel confident to smile all day long!

I love to have clean teeth but would like them to be whiter...plus this might motivate my children to brush more often with a fun new toothbrush...

The electric toothbrush is way better. My dentist said that I should switch because my gum is very sensitive...

I have used the electronic brush and I really liked it.My kids also want one of these.because they make teeth really clean. If I win my whole family will be happy.

My biggest motivation would be getting my 4 kids to brush with an electric toothbrush! Please pick me :)

My motivation to switch? This contest!!! Philips Sonicare....take me away! Oops, sorry Calgon, shouldn't steal your slogan :p

I want to try this new toothbrush.

Wow ... would sure make brushing teeth easier and give a cleaner mouth and teeth. I'd love to have this!!

I LOVE Sonicare toothbrushes. I had one previously, and would love to have one again for my entire family. It did a much better job of cleaning my teeth than the Oral B electic toothbrush did. Feels like your entire mouth is super clean!

I am having a hard time with getting my little person to brush her teeth twice a day everyday and i have tryed everything to make it fun for her i even tryed letting her brush my teeth as i did hers but i think this would bring something new to make it fun again for her.
good luck everyone :)

it will clean our teeth much better! so next time we go to the dentist, we all get a tumbs up!

My motivation to switch is to make sure that I brush long enough and get into the hard to reach areas. I'd also like to have my kids brush their teeth longer - with an electric brush, I'm sure they would

I would love to switch to an electric brush because it gives a more much thorough clean I am told, especially targetting the hard-to-reach areas. However, although I have thought about it many a time, I have never gotten around to actually making the switch. So winning this gift pack would give me that perfect opportunity.
The fact that this pack will include something for my whole family makes it all the more lucrative.
Going to the dentist is a nightmare for everyone I think, so this will make the visits few and far between I am sure, by improving our oral health everyday.

Hello, I would LOVE to win because I have GREAT teeth but I am on prednison(steriods) and My teeth keep breaking off and falling out. I want to save my teeth and not have to use false teeth. My dentist also told me to try a electric tooth brush since I always seem to brush my teeth side ways instead of the proper way. I am usually in a rush. So the electric tooth brush would allow me to get the proper brushing I need. Cleaner teeth. and smother whiter teeth. Ohhh wouldn't my dentist be proud of me!!! THanks for this opportunity.

Over the years I have lost teeth for reasons only known to the Tooth Fairy. Now that my teeth are stable I actually floss daily. The new tooth brush would make me smile a bit more often to know that my teeth may not be bright, but they are clean.

My mother recently got dentures because she did not take care of her peridontal disease. I currenly have great teeth but dont want to take any chances. Winning this gift pack would keep myself and my familys teeth top notch!

Sometimes I feel like I'm still in the Dinosaur age, using my manual toothbrush when everyone I know has made the switch already. Having my parents in the dental industry, I know what can happen if proper care is not giving to cleaning the teeth, so I'd like to play it safe and give my teeth the best care they can get!

My 2 & 4 year olds love brushing their teeth. I would love to have a toothbrush with a timer on it. I am running out of 2 minute songs to sing!

I've heard great results from using an electric toothbrush especially for keeping tartar build up at bay, but the cost of a good electric toothbrush has always made me think if it's worth it. Now, after reading about your results, I may just be be swayed in changing not only for better dental health but to keep the dentist at bay.

I would like to switch 'cos I have receeding gums & there are a lot of scary things that can happen if your gums aren't heathly. Also it feels great after going to the dentist after a cleaning. That feeling as you pass your tongue over your smooth, clean, gleaming pearly whites ... oh how can I be denied this experience for so long?!?!

Wow, I was just at the dentist today and I could sure use some help, this would be great.

I want to smile with confidence.

I was at the dentist today with a toothache and I am getting older so I want to keep all my real teeth not go to false teeth, this would be great for dental health and to have a timer is incredible!! We probably don't brush as long as we think we do remember the red pills when you were a kid and all the places we missed? I would really love one of these!

My first reason is to have great oral health, I recently noticed one of my front teeth has the gums receding and would like to get rid of that pronto,
My second reason is that my 3 yr old hated brushing his teeth until I bought him a cheap battery powered tooth brush, he thinks it sounds like an airplane and all I have to say is lets go get our airplane tooth brush and he goes running for it...

I want an airplane tooth brush too!!!

My dental hygienist strongly suggests it. I'm curious and would like to try it.

I would love to have an electric toothbrush for my husband, who has gum disease. He go in for a clean every 4 months and my health care plan only cover 1 time every nine months. I think this would make a great improvement to his dental issues.

Every 6 months I go for a checkup, and every time I get the same news: another cavity. Brushing twice, flossing, and rinsing with Oral B Anti-cavity daily do not make a difference. A low-sugar, low-acid diet make no difference. 2 cavities a year, guaranteed. It's time to try something new in my fight against faulty genes.

I think switching to an electric toothbrush would be just the thing to get everyone in the family brushing without the usual complaints! And of course, my dentist is promoting its use, too!

helps as i & the kids always seem to rush our brushing .

This is a fabulous prize and I'd love to win it! My motivation for switching to an electric toothbrush would be (a) my dental team has often recommended this to me as a superior solution to oral health, and (b) I have tried the spinbrush style that runs on batteries which quickly die out. Nothing beats the feeling of a fresh, clean mouth with a beautiful set of teeth. I think the electric toothbrush would be an incentive to get us all brushing more often.

Well, three of us have been sharing one electric toothbrush for nearly a year. I think it is time for an upgrade!

I am on assistance and can't afford a dentist so this would help with my care.

Dentists = Major expense
My main motivation for switching to electric toothbrushes would be healthier, cleaner teeth and gums. Leaving the dentist with a smile would be wonderful!

I love my Spin Brush, but I'm not married to it. Maybe it's time for a new relationship--and a better smile might just help me land one. ;-)

I have used Sonicare in the past and they definitely are worth it. I will switch back!!

My husband and seven yr old daughter love using electric brushes and myself and youngest daughter like the old fashion manual toothbrush. I wouldnt mind trying the switch if its a good brush. I've heard Sonicare is the best.

I would like to try it as there are so many electric brushes on the market right now.

I would make the switch for better oral care!

I would absolutely love to make the switch! I have tried and tried to get my kids to floss their teeth, to no avail. Neither one of them have had cavities yet which I am truly thankful for since we don't have Dental Coverage. But I have noticed that they are super fast brushers...I have done the timer thing telling them they have to keep brushing till their timer is done...and I know they cheat and turn it over too soon. :D So I think since they both love motorized toys etc and they both ride motorbikes, they would be more into brushing their teeth for a longer period of time if their toothbrushes had a motor too!!!!!!!!!!!! Whatever it takes! :D So please send us those fun, funky toothbrushes to get my kids MOTORVATED!!!!!! :)

I noticed Tartar on my bottom teeth on the inside. I suspect its due to my manual tooth brush. An electric one does the work of a a dental visit (well almost). I have a Cleaning this Monday and I want to keep that smooth n clean TARTAR free mouth for longer. Would be easy to do with this electric toothbrush.

The sonicare brush sounds amazing! I also have never considered switching to an electric because a manual brush has worked for me for many, many years. But I'm sure that after using this brush my visits to the dentist would be a lot quicker and that is something I certainly would like, cause I am not to fond of going to the dentist. I would love to make the switch.

I've been thinking about switching to an electric toothbrush for awhile now, but have yet to do so. I think good dental health is even more important to me now that I'm getting older and I would like to try an electric toothbrush so I can compare how well it cleans as compared to a manual toothbrush. Winning this Philips Sonicare FlexCare+ would be the perfect opportunity to do just that!

I've been an OralB user for more than 15 years but have been wanting to switch to Sonicare because of their excellent reviews. The one thing holding me back is the cost, unfortunately. This would be the perfect opportunity for me to finally see what Sonicare is all about!

I would love to make the switch because these are the only teeth I've got, and I'd like to try to take care of them the best I can!

I would love to try a new tooth brush, I would make the switch

Thank you

My motivation to switch is my 14 year old has been told he needs braces and various other dental work prior and after the two year dedication of my single family funds and time, with this to digest, a new better cleaning system for his mouth is not only welcomed but teary eyed, hands hugging and lips quivering of utimate happiness which would paint a rainbow in a world that looks desperately bleak right now. Thanks

To be honest, I just can't see the point in putting out huge money for 1 person in our household to have a nice toothbrush and leave everyone out. So we just have not crossed that road. With 3 teens life is complicated enough. But with that said,1 of the kids do have my type of challenging teeth. The other 2 are like their father, thank goodness. Prevention is everything, but fairness is a peace keeper.
Thanks for the opportunity to post...perhaps it's a family thing after all.

I am lucky enough to have good teeth basically but my kids do not so it would be a real blessing to get this prize to help them to take care of their teeth. They are both lazy brushers and could really use the help.

telling me about your motivation to switch

I would like cleaner teeth!!! Thanks for the chance to win.

We had electric toothbrushes a long time ago and liked them but they wore out. The cost was a factor in replacing them for everyone. The new ones look better than ever.

Unfortunately for me, I had all of my teeth removed due to cancer treatment damage to my mouth and salivary glands. Frankly it completely devastated me and I still more than a year later hate the false teeth. My motivation to switch is that I now push my husband and children a million times more to take care of their teeth. I did faithfully brush 4-5 times a day and flossed so many times I would lose track. I know I could not have stopped the radiation damage to my mouth but I can certainly motivate my family to take excellent care of their teeth!
Thanks so much for the contest opportunity.

my dentist told me i have alot of recession from brushing too aggressively causing the gums to recede which leaves the dentin exposed and causes sensitivity but when you use a Sonic Care toothbrush it does not require brushing as it does the cleanning by vibration so it would help reduce the continuation of recession from excessive brushing

I need a better toothbrush. Let me win and I will brush!

I would love a toothbrush that cleans better esp. for my daughter as she's at that age where unless I stand over her it's about a 10 second brush ! Maybe this toothbrush will encourage her to brush longer !

My motivation to switch is my family. I am an avid toothbrusher but they aren't. Anything that gets them to brush more often and better would be fabulous.

It is so important to have a toothbrush that works well, especially for my daughter (that has the metal bar across the bottom teeth on the inside) to help clean better. I think the whole family would benefit from such a great product!

We have a wrestling contest with our youngest ( of 3) who is 3 1/2 to get her to brush. She wants to do it herself which is great but really to make sure she gets all the plaque off ideally she needs Mummy or Daddy to help out! Bribes and stickers get the job done, however that gets old fast. The drugstore electric toothbrushes run out of power and those teensy screws are a pain to try to change the battery
This Phillips kit would be the perfect solution to our problem!
Thanks for the opportunity, you have great contests ( for stuff that I actually would use!)

My parents were BIG on dental care/hygiene & I have carried this with me my whole life with absolutley no regrets. I'd like to step up my routine by using an electric system which my hygienist has been recommending for years.

I would really love to be able to have a chance for my family and I to try these toothbrushes. :)

My dentist says I have a bit of gingivitis and that this type of toothbrush could do me some good, so I would like to try it.

I have many friends who now use electric toothbrushes and have a lot of positive feedback.I'm one who seems stuck with the "good old brush"attitude but this would certainly be a great reason :) to make the jump.

I just got my teeth fixed and I would really like to keep them that way. I have generally weak and unhealthy teeth and gums no matter how hard I try. Maybe this would be helpful.

I drink 8 cups of tea a day and an electric toothbrush would help keep my teeth whiter. I would also like one for my daughters to they would brush longer and do a better job of removing the plaque from their back molars.

Everyone in my household has just recently gotten over a very bad cold and sore throat. This is the perfect time to change toothbrushes and get rid of all those germs.

I don't have dental insurance right now, so having a more effective toothbrushes would help us keep our teeth as healthy as can be. These toothbrushes would definitely be appreciated in our household!

I have never had a cavity in my life, I am 37 and would LOVE to keep it that way, for life. I have a deep fear of dentists and dread going under that drill!!! My youngest has major stomach problems that prevent her from absorbing all the minerals she needs for healthy teeth. She has a cavity every time she goes in to the dentist :( I would love for her to have a better toothbrush to help combat that a little.

I think my kids would love this, and by the sounds of it, it would get our teeth much cleaner than manual brushes. Anything that gets the kids to brush their teeth sounds like a winner to me, so bring it on!!

Electric toothbrushes are the way to, cleans & massages around your gums so well, it actually improves pockets

We have AlWAYS wanted to switch but the cost to do it stopped us. To win this giveaway would be awesome

I really think I need to clean my teeth better and this would certainly help.

I want to switch because I want to keep my own teeth for the rest of my life. It's all about using the right equipment - toothbrush, toothpaste, floss.

I would like to switch in order to have better oral hygiene... My manual brush is okay, but I know that an electric toothbrush would do a much, MUCH better job; plus as I age, I am appreciating my teeth, gums and mouth so much more!

I would love to switch as my dentist has recommended an electric toothbrush and I would love to feel that just cleaned at the dentist feeling all the time.

I would love to win these for my kids. They need more fun to spend more time brushing.

I hate it if my teeth don't feel really smooth, it means I didn't get them clean enough, perhaps an electrick toothbrush would do a better job than I do.

After the dentist found cavities on both me and my wife, I am defiantly ready for the switch!

My last electric toothbrush was great but when it died, I bought a cheap electric one. Now my gums are suffering big time. I need a good electric toothbrush - there really is a difference!

Oral health is extremely important and I have become a bit lax over the past couple of years. I think this prize would be great motivation to get more serious about taking care of my teeth. Also, at my last appointment, my dental hygienist recommended switching to an electric toothbrush!

I have plenty of cavities and sensitive teeth, so making the change would be a good thing to have a healthier mouth.

My motivation to switch is quite simple. When I was pregnant with my daughter last year, my dentist told me he hopes that she gets her dad's teeth, not mine! I do use an electric toothbrush daily, but it's older and a Braun. Would love to switch to a new Philips Sonicare for better oral health!

My motivation to switch is i'm sure an electric toothbrush would motivate me to brush regularly.

My motivation to switch is because I am pregnant right now and my dentist told me that it's very important to keep my teeth clean and healthy during pregnancy. Also I would want to maintain healthy gum.

I think a electric toothbrush would get your teeth cleaner

My motivation to switch is so that me and my family have much better oral health and maintain our teeth forever. Both my parents have ended up with false teeth and I do not want to!

I've heard nothing but great things about this toothbrush. It is supposed to keep your teeth cleaner and that would definitely be my motivation to switch!

Teeth would be cleaned so much better and would almost be like coming home from the dentist with that "oh so clean feeling".

I suffer from gingivitis and my dentist has suggested I switch toothbrushes. It would be good for the whole family.

I have receding gums and the Dentist told me to switch toothbrushes and I think this would be a great switch!!

I have this brush and really like it-I especially like the blue light cleaner thing. It is supposed to UV light your heads or something but it also keeps them out of the way and tidy!

to win this would be a super way to get my grandchildren really interested in brushing their teeth. My toothbrush is very nearly worn out so this would come in really handy

this would help clean my teeth better and more thoroughly

I just had a great couple of weeks at the cottage but discovered that my Travel Toothbrush is somewhat less than up to snuff. as a busy mom of 3 kids, I have my spare toothbrush and 3 others for the kids always packed and ready to go. What a surprise when I realized that I should give them a quick look over before heading out for a few weeks. Cottage like is a bit of roughing it, but my teeth sure could use the superchared Sonicare to make up for lost time

I fell in love with the results of an electric toothbrush years ago. The rest of the family needs to join the cleaner teeth world. This prize package would help encourage the family to switch over.

I have numerous reasons I'd LOVE to switch to one of these:
One, I am a widowed single mom and even with the benefits through my work, most dental care is out of reach for me. We have the worlds cheapest benefit plan, unfortunately.
Two, I have fibromyalgia, and the meds used to treat it cause dry mouth, which is murder on teeth & gums! The meds themselves are also very expensive -- about $300 per month (which is unavoidable -- benefits only covers one out of 4 meds, and my doc even kicks in a few samples of another to help off-set it) ... I just had to have a root canal a few weeks ago, and I NEVER want to go through that again!
I think this would benefit my daughter, too -- she tends to be a lazyt brusher, no matter how much I nag.

I would love to try out this toothbrush as it looks to be a little out of my price range. The benefits to an electric toothbrush are whiter teeth and less cavities as a manual toothbrush simply cannot do the same job. This would be a wonderful gift for my entire family and be better on the dentist bills for fillings and other major repairs.

I have always used a manual toothbrush, but I understand there are limitations to a good brushing because I may have poor technique or rush through the cleaning. The electric toothbrush would certainly provide an improvement.

I want my son to like using his toothbrush and he seems to like brushing his teeth while listening to music , but Its hard to tell him hes not doing the best job, I'm happy hes brushing but would be happier knowing the sonicare will help his effectiveness in getting his teeth clean and avoiding another dentist visit.

this looks like it would do the job better than my old toothbrush.

I was just told that i have the ist stage od gum disease and will need gum laser therapy at a hefty price. I've already been using an electric toothbrush so I'm very interested in the sonic brush to see if it would be better than what I'm presently using.

I would love to be more techno and have a more effective brushing :)

My dental hygienist recommended I make the switch to an electric toothbrush. It is a good preventive measure for gum disease.

I would like to try this product and see if it delivers a better clean than a regular brush.

My dentist recommended trying one of these toothbrushes, so I'd like to get one!

I would ike to try this because I've heard they do a great job!

I love this for my myself to see how it works.

It's a different kind of clean I'm sure, and great for kids especially, as an electric toothbrush does the moving around teeth and gums, unlike a normal toothbrush where it has to be navigated...

If it would mean getting my kids to brush their teeth without a fight, I'd be motivated to make the switch.

Thanks for the opportunity to win!

I hope that if I did switch it would stop me from gagging every morning when I brush

My family & I would love to switch to an electric toothbrush and see what our dentist says at our next visit!

I would switch it try to cut down on the sensitivity problem I have.

My Boys and I would love to switch, I've wanted to switch for a while because of all the benefits but obviously its expensive!! it would be nice to win because my 5 year old would definitively benefit from it! Thank YOU

For a clean that feels like you had it done professionally use Sonicare.

I'm passionate about oral hygiene, so sonicare would be a dream for me!

As I get older I get worried about loosing my teeth - I even have nightmares sometimes! So I'd like to win so I can take the best care of my teeth possible

I have terrible teeth (poor genetics!) and no matter how much I brush I always have cavities...I would love to try the toothbrush to see if makes a difference for me!

I would love to trade my toothbrush for an electric one! A recent visit to my dentist revealed some surprising results. I had alot of plaque that had to be scraped away and my sensitivity is due to brushing too hard. I really thought I was taking good care of my teeth with brushing twice a day & flossing! My children are sometimes without supervision while brushing their teeth and they say they have brushed. We do this quirky thing, the breath test. If for whatever reason myself or my husband cannot supervise them brushing they come to us and we smell their breath! I think they have caught on and just dab their tongue's with toothpaste. I am postive an electric toothbrush would be more interesting to them and solve our dilema.

I would love to try this new type of toothbrush (new to me anyways!) to see if it does a better job than a regular toothbrush!

I just had surgery in my mouth due to an accident a while back and it's amazing how everything is attached to each other as far as the sensitivity in my mouth. My doctor recommended I switch to an electronic toothbrush because of the sensitivity I will be feeling for at least one year and to be able to get to those far to reach areas where a manual toothbrush would just hurt me. So I need to do the switch! I know my family would love this too!

No matter what I try, my receding gums seem to be getting worse. My dentist recommended an electric toothbrush for me, and suggested I just let it sit on the gums and do its job for a little while each day. I haven't had the chance to go out and get one, so winning this would be ideal! Thanks for the chance!

I switched from a manual toothbrush to an electric one about 4 months ago.

I am currently taking medication for lymphoma and my dentist told me the medication would make my teeth succeptable to decay. He recommened the switch.

I also bought a little timer that I can set for 2 minutes, so I am sure I am brushing long enough.

I do not miss the manual brush at all. The electric one makes my mouth feel cleaner than it ever did before.

Thank you for the amazing giveaway. I would love to try it. ~Pauline

dod@rogers.com

I have heard of this toothbrush and have been meaning to invest in one. Winning would be even better

I had problems with receding gums and had to have a gum graft. After that I try to use an electric toothbrush to fend off gum disease.

sounds like a great tooth brush. Much more effective for a healthy smile!

I switched to a Philips Sonicare years ago after using another brand for years. I had to replace the other unit within a year of purchasing each new one, and my Sonicare has lasted many years and done an amazing job. My dentist's office recommended it, and it has done a particularly wonderful job of halting any gum recession. I am overdue for a new unit, as this one is of an older design and the heads are getting expensive to replace. I wouldn't dream of a brand other than a Sonicare, and hope that I will be fortunate enough to win this sleak, snazzy new one!

I always get in trouble when I go to visit the dentist...would be nice to see it this makes a difference.

I'd like to have cleaner teeth!

I had an electric tooth brush years ago but as it was discontinued the brush heads stopped being made. I loved how clean it made my mouth feel but I haven't gotten around to replacing it yet & it's been a few years now.

My dentist recommended an electric toothbrush. Buying one always seemed to get pushed to the bottom of the Need to Buy list. Winning one would be great.

It would be great to win this, my kids would never stop brushing their teeth!

My motivation to switch is that I don't feel that my gums are in the best shape they could be, and would love to switch to improve that!

I have recently been diagnosed with an oral health issue so the electric toothbrush would help me with my problem

My gum and heart health along with the gum and heart health of my children are motivation to switch

I have been considering changing to an electric toothbrush for awhile. After reading all these comments, I will try one. It's on my shopping list. Here's to healthy gums.

I think it would improve my teeth cleaning! Hopefully quicker too as I have little time in the morning with the 9 month old getting into everything!

My dentist would like to see me use one of these toothbrushes for my receding gums. I would love to have one!

The only thing that shrinks with age are your gums! So I need all the help I can get.

I,d love to make a switch

I need this toothbrush for my gums and I like the idea of using the powered brush for flossing than the wax floss. It gets more germs out of your mouth than a regular toothbrush. I also would have a healthier mouth and less cavities.

My motivation is to prevent further gum problems (already have some issues) because growing up my parents loved feeding us sugar lol. I am scheduled for a lot of upcoming dental surgery and work and this would be the perfect motivation to keep my mouth in tip top condition.

I have a habit of brushing too hard and the dentist reccommended that I try an electric tooth brush to prevent further errosion of my gums line. I already have some root exposure and sensitivity so I really need to make a change!

Would be nice to try an electric toothbrush and see and feel the difference, never had one :)

my dentist has recommended this brush to me and i think it will do a much better job than a manual brush. and i love that it has the uv santizer for the brush head. i want my teeth as clean and healthy as possible!

I've always rubbed my gums too hard when flossing using the waxed floss plus it takes so much time and I'm looking for something more efficient to remove food from between my teeth.

My motivation to switch is because change is all better. I love trying new products especially if it will do a fantastic job cleaning my teeth. I try to take very good of my teeth so I can have healthy gums and not have to worry about captivities or going to the dentist. I know that electric toothbrush work really well to clean your teeth. I would love to win this to keep my teeth and mouth happy! Thank for this chance! good luck to all

An electric toothbrush does a much better job of cleaning your teeth and maintaining healthy gums.

I prefer electric for better cleaning. I've used it for years not

Since I have a electric brush, I really like more to brush my theet and make it often. The feeling with an electric one is so more pleasant!! But my brush is a little bit old and need to be changed! Also, my sonhave a manuel one and he is jealous of mine and want a electric one too!! I'm thinking to buy one for him and his brother, but it seem a little bit expensive for me! If I can win that, it's a family that will be happy!!

I would love to switch so I no longer feel the pain of cavities and root canals

My son has an electric toothbrush. Time for his mom to get one too.

Before we were married, my husband had used an electric toothbrush for some time. He really loved it and from time to time he talks about wanting to switch back. I'm intrigued and would like to try it. But as much as I want to win this contest for myself, his birthday is coming up in August and I'd like to win this for him.

First, I love the design of the The Philips Sonicare FlexCare brush. Second, I've never used electric brush before, so if I win one it would be a good reason to start using it!

I think that an electric toothbrush might do a better job that my manual methods. I've been thinking of switching for a while, but I'm just overwhelmed by the selection out there. I want my dental hygienist to be proud of my efforts and to spend less time on me!

As I approach my 40s I am taking greater interest in my health and well being. A lot of illnesses can be attributed to bacteria in the mouth, so I'd be interested to know if this product has an advantage over manual brushes. Also, new technology is exciting and can motivate you to do things better or differently. I think it would be fun to use.

my motivation to switch is knowing that I will be taking better care of my teeth and my families teeth

I love electric toothbrushes.

I'd like to minimize the time it takes my hygienist to clean my teeth at our 6 month check-ups.

my motivation to switch is that my kids will have healthy and clean teeth cause a clean mouth is a sign of a healthy body

my motivation is that my teenager realizes just how important oral care and an electric toothbrush will do wonders as he head s towards braces in the near future

I absolutely hate going to the dentist, so this will help me ensure that plague is removed at home instead of the grueling time in the dental chair!

Would love to try that toothbrush.

I would love to switch because I have never tried an electric toothbrush before and I would love to have cleaner and healthier teeth. Thanks for the giveaway.

It would be an electrifying experience to switch over to a new style of toothbrush.

My motivation to switch is easy. I've heard that your teeth feel much smoother and cleaner with an electric toothbrush, much the same as they do when you leave the dentist after a thorough cleaning -- and I LOVE that feeling! Thanks for the great giveaway! :o)

I would love the chace to win this prize pack of the 4 toothbrushes. My family and I have terrible genetics, and when I say we could use all the help we can get, I am not exaggerating in the least! I haven't entered a contest here yet, and hope this is how you enter as I read through the post several times and coul not find where it says how to enter at all anywhere. Also, I'd like the chance to be a product tester sometime if ever I qualify or you are in need of any testers for anything.

Thanks, and I'm glad to be a more active member on the site now!

~Kendra

I think it would do a better job cleaning my teeth and I would have better dentist checkups.

I would love to make the switch because I want even cleaner healthier teeth that will last a lifetime because smiles are forever

I have heard that you really should switch to an electric toothbrush to get all the plaque off your teeth and gums. My husband just bought one on the recommendation of his dentist. I would love to get one too but it's just not in the budget for me right now.

I've had to have a lot of dental work done and I am so TIRED of it! So, I try extra hard to take excellent care of my teeth every day!

I'd love an electric toothbrush because I have difficult to clean teeth with soft pits in the molars so I am VERY sick of cavities!

I think it will do an overall better job of cleaning and keep my gums healthier over time.

I hope it will mean less time at the dentist!

I want to switch because i want my teeth to have that clean feeling that happens when you leave the dentist!

I want to switch to an electric toothbrush because it's more efficient.

I would love to make the switch, for myself... but mostly for my children :)

I would like toake the switch so I can clean my teeth better and brush for the right amount of time

Because a gas powered toothbrush is too noisy and the exhaust fumes are really unpleasant ..... haha.

These are the best of the best electric toothbrushes. What's nice is the UV cleaner. My kids would brush more and have fun doing it! I would like the switch so that we have our pretty smiles for many years to come!

I would love to win because in the past week I've spent over $1500 on dental work that I'd like to keep looking nice and spiffy but more importantly minty fresh clean!

The promise of cleaner teeth without going to the dentist's office motivates me to switch.

Hopefully it would improve not only my teeth but my gums as well...make my regular cleanings easier.

my last electronic tooth brush was a snoopy one...I loved that one...would love a big girl one now ;)

My motivation for wanting this prize is that it would encourage me to be a more regular 'brusher', and therefore set a better example for my kids.

I have a really hard time getting my 6yr and 9yr old brushing their teeth consistently.
My husband and I are at the age where we have to worry about gum disease. We would ALL benefit from these toothbrushes!! Tracey

Hopefully it would help to motivate my kids to brush more often and reduce our dentist bills.

I AM VERYmotivated to switch to the electric tooth brush because it does the job better and it will be cheaper at the densist office, thanks

Anything that would improve the dental health form me and my family would be very welcome.

I would love to try an electric brush so that it removes more plaque

I think it would encourage the kids to brush something new

I had an electric toothbrush for years but it gave up the ghost and I went back to a manual brush. However, no matter how long I brush, it just doesn't feel like my teeth and gums are really clean. I'm short of cash as usual but I desperately want to get back to an electric brush.

I recently had my braces removed - after almost 12 years!! The one thing I found most important to the health of my teeth and gums is a good quality toothbrush. I actually went through two electric Philips toothbrushes during the 12 years and also tried a competitors brush and found that it wasn't as good. The new Philips brush looks awesome, so I would like to make the switch to keep my teeth and gums healthy and my breath sweet!

I would love a new electric toothbrush for my family. my kids are old enough to use electric and I think it would encourage them to brush!

I should have switched to an electric toothbrush a long time ago. Another thing to "add to the list". My dentist has warned me that I need one along with a water pic. This is the month I am going to finally listen!!!!

I have an electric toothbrush that I love using, but it's about 10 years old, and my husband mentioned that it's "starting to look a bit ghetto". I would love a new one. Less trips to the dentist would be great.

id love to make the swithch to an electric toothbrush ,i have aleready switched my kids as i feel the toothbrush does a more thorough job cleaning teet and gums.id love to enjoy healthier teeth and gums as well!

Hi Jen
I'm just dying to know who won. I don't see anything in the comments. Do tell!
Thanks,
PJ

It was Candice B. But there will be another chance to win soon so keep your eyes open!

I love my sonicare. I'd love a new one. Then my husband can see how awesome it is!

My husband was told by his dentist that he brushes too hard and that if he keeps doing it he will experience gum loss and eventually bone loss. His tooth brushes over the last 10 years always look like they have been run over by the tire of a car, flattened! So my motivation would be for my husband , So he can just let the brush do the work, and not brush his gums away! so he can have the "going to the dentist clean teeth feeling" every day!
