Remember a few months ago when I told you that I was going to switch to the Philip's Sonicare electric toothbrush and see whether it made any difference on my teeth? Well, after a few months of brushing with it the results are in!

Last week I had my regular dental check up. Now, this is not something anyone looks forward to but I was curious to see if they would even notice a difference. I have always had good teeth, few fillings and no real issues. I usually walk out of there with the "don't forget to floss more" comment but otherwise, all is as it should be.
So, I had decided not to tell them I had changed toothbrushes. I was just going to wait and see if anyone noticed anything. Just sit back and relax and see if this toothbrush had really made any difference at all.
My new toothbrush. But would the dentist even notice?
And I swear to you, this happened: After a few minutes of looking at my teeth the dental hygienist called in the other hygienists and the dentist to look at my teeth. They all stood around gazing into my open mouth. This is what my hygienist said, "A beautiful example of well cared for teeth."
So that was it. I was sold. Despite my resistance initially the toothbrush was easy to use and felt good. But, the best part? Great teeth.
So now it's your chance! Leave me a comment below telling me about your most interesting visit to the dentist and you'll be entered to win a prize pack containing two Flexcare+ toothbrushes and two Sonicare for Kids toothbrushes valued at $580!
Contest ends on October 25, 2011.

i'm not sure if my many visits come under the heading of "interesting" (broken jaw, missing teeth, dental surgery, multiple root canals, multiple caps, extractions and on and on....) but if there is a toothbrush out there that can make a checkup into just a checkup for me, it's GOLD!!!
(although i did have a great time when they knocked me out for my wisdom teeth....i was sooooo hhiiiiiiiigh!!!!!!)
My most "interesting" on was when I developed a freak bacterial infection in my gum that almost resulted in the tooth having to be pulled. It was fun :)
Okay, now I'M sold on the whole thing! Too bad I'm not eligible, but I was actually waiting for your review until I bit the bullet on going electric. AMAZING!! Now I'm going to look into getting some for the fam. Or maybe, just for me. ;)
I loved the tender gums of pregnancy - NOT. The sink was pink on that visit, but the good news was that it cleared up well afterwards. Now if only I can stop falling asleep on the couch and brushing half-heartedly at some weird hour, I might be in business.
I get the "beautiful teeth" comment every time I go, usually before the bad news of a cavity!
Once, when I flinched, the dentist commented "Oh, I forgot - I usually have people frozen when I do that." Gee, thanks, Doc.
My most interesting visit to the Dentist was when I was a teenager. I overcame the fear of Dentists by visiting a Dentist that my friends recommended. He was kind and gentle and fixed my mouth painlessly. When he chatted me up I mentioned I was looking for my first job. He decided to hire me to work in their clinic. I proceeded to become a Certified Dental Assistant who tweets on Twitter @toothfairycyber and dats da twooth! Sweet story huh?
I remember my first experience, the dentist told me you have two cavities today, your a big girl so we will not be freezing you today...what!!!! Walked out and never went back. I was 11 years old.

My most "interesting" trip to the dentist was when I was 13 and getting a tooth extracted before getting my braces. No matter what the dentist tried he couldn't get the freezing to take around the tooth being extracted. So basically I felt the whole thing -- most painful experience until I gave birth without drugs & pain was pretty close. Thank goodness it was a quick extraction and Dentist and assistant were so nice and helped me through the pain
Due to moves, schooling, etc I hadn't been to a dentist in ten years. I was dreading getting the lecture about the importance of taking care of your teeth, but all he said was "you're here now". Over the years he slowly got me taking better care of my teeth with regular check ups, using a different brush, using a fluoride rinse (its not in our water), then leading up to flossing. He knew that telling me everything I should be doing would lead to failure (too much too soon), so took the gradual approach. It worked for me.
Would really like to try this product.
I went to the dentist with my son who had to take his hat with him and pull it down over his eyes. The light was too bright and he did not want to actually see the dentist while at work!
Fortunately I've had very uneventful dentist visits but my poor son has been through so much...six extractions, two root canals, broken teeth...and he's only eight. So I think he's had all the "excitement" for the whole family.
I've had a lot of "interesting" dental visits - have had 8 teeth pulled, braces complete with head gear, wisdom teeth pulled (but I chose not to get knocked out), periodontal surgery/gum replacement, and the list goes on! But I don't have a single cavity. I now have really sensitive teeth, so I jump several times on my visits to the dentist. I DREAD going. I am interested to see if this toothbrush would make a difference for me (and my kiddos).
Every visit to the dentist is an adventure as the mom of seven girls...
Last visit was for me, and the two youngest came with me. We went in, they saw me get xrays and everything...when it came time to discuss what we were going to do, my youngest (age 3) piped up with "Mamo, I don't think this is going to be a cheap visit, he has a lot of pictures to take again, they are all black!"
Word to the wise...do Not talk about the cost of dentistry with little ears in the car...lol.
I just took all my kids to a new dentist as our old one retired. We miss him but it was a complete surprise when they x-rayed my teenage son. We had never x-rayed his teeth as he always had perfect check ups (although not a perfect brushing routine). tWe discovered that he was actually missing some of his adult teeth. The baby ones were still held in place by the other adult teeth. I'm all over him about brushing now to hold onto those baby teeth for as long as possible. Some fancy brushes might encourage him.
My most recent memory was two days ago when I took my 4 year old to get caps on. . . coming out of anesthetic is not fun! My poor little guy could really use the extra help keeping the nasties off of his teeth! This new toothbrush system may be just the extra he needs.
I was able to get my 4th wisdom tooth pulled in the dentist office the other 3 were in an operating room.
My most resent memories were not nice ones I had 2 teeth pulled due to my toothbrush not reaching the back of my mouth well enough, they told me to invest in a spin type of brush and well they are expensive...My son also has caps and due to a small mouth the brush doesn't get back far enough so we could really use one of those types of toothbrushes please and thankyou...Michelle
my most interesting visit to the dentist was two years ago
he did regular check ups xrays, one cavity fuiling and his brag how smart he is...
he told me all ok, no problems - total bill came over the grand
two months after during my travel I ended up with the pain
got emergency root canal and three cavities...
Now I do not trust dentist... how you could know - how is scamming you or not ???
hope to win - nice toothbrush
My most interesting dentist trip was when I got my wisdom teeth out! I was put under conscious sedation, and all I remember about the surgery was waking up afterwards, but I'm told that I was a very entertaining patient, serenading the doctors with a full mouth the whole time!
I have a fairly bad fear of dentists, so aloud a ache to become a pain that was so bad I could not open my mouth at all - my room mate (I was 21) then pretty much carried me to a walk it, then to a dental office across the parking lot LOL. IT was bad - a I have impacted wisdom tooth that had caused a major infection, I had surgary the next morning, where they removed the tooth, a huge chunck of gum and smome of the bone of my jaw (it was rotten) I was willing to have all that pain instead of going to the dentist. My husband and out wonderfull dental office who I have gone to now for 11 years have a whole sytem for dealing with me - I do not know I am going until them morning of - they put a solution on my mouth so I do not feel it ect ect and I ALWAYS have the same hygenist, if she is away I do not go LOL, but no more massive infections either. One part of this all I am very carefull with my teeth - I am almost 40 and have never in my life had a cavity! the thought of a drill - ugh, faint worthy!! Pick me, pick me!!
I actually have a dentist visit coming up...and a very sensitive tooth on one side that has me fearing the dreaded words "root canal". I've had one. It was not fun. Having my jaw cranked open for so long is was gave me TMJ
I'd love a new toothbrush to help keep my teeth healthier
My most interesting dental visit was the time I had an extraction and the tooth broke so the dentist had to dig the rest out of my gums :(
I took my then 3 year old to the dentist and he commented that she talked an awful lot. He noticed my 18 month with me. He proceeded to tell me that maybe I needed to spend more time with my eldest as I was spending too much time with my baby. This conversation carried on to the receptionists desk where she finally put him in his place and said, "You're a dentist, not a psychologist! Be quiet!" Needless to say I changed dentists shortly after that! And my 3-year old is now a lovely 7 1/2 year old who is very well adjusted and loves her little sister!!! Take that!
My worst experience going to the dentist was when I had to wait for two hours until my turn. I was a little upset with the whole experience and now I am forever scarred and hate making appointments to go and see the dentist!!!
My most interesting visit to the dentist was this summer, when my five year old and my three year old both had to have anesthesia to have a tooth pulled and two cavities filled, (respectively).
Taking my little daughter to the dentist for her first filling was impressive even to the dentist. Why? Because she bit him as he went to put the needle into her mouth. The nurse and dentist were so shocked that she had bitten him. All the nurse could say was "she bit him." I guess no other child had ever bitten the guy!
Ive had many 'interesting' dental visits (put right out at age 9 to have a root canal, having a tooth break in half that also required a root canal before pins and half a false tooth were attached...)
But Id say the visit that stays in my mind the best is when I had my wisdom teeth extracted, in the chair with regular freezing. My Dentist is an actual dental surgeon so it was all good but those suckers where in so tight he literally had to get up on the chair over me, bracing his knee on the arm rest to be able to yank hard enough! Not really painful but the pressure! Sore jaw for awhile for sure!
My most interesting dental visit was when I had my root canal done. The reason it was so interesting was because I never expected something so simple to fix my problem. I had my root canal done in Oct of 2008. In February 2008 I had jaw surgery to fix my overbite. My jaw was wired shut for 6 weeks and it was AWFUL, anyways, I healed and things seemed to be good. In June, after my husband managed to finally convince me to play slow pitch for there team, I took an elbow to the face. This resulted in a bump and a bruise on my jaw line that WOULD NOT go away. I talked to my oral surgeon and had a SECOND surgery to remove the titanium screws on that side of my jaw because they thought it might have gotten infected. This did not help the bump. I then saw my orthodontist, they didn't have a clue. I went and saw 3 different dentists about this and had many x-rays done, but NO ONE could figure out the cause of this bruised bump on my jaw. Finally, I took the time to drive down and see my childhood dentist and she figured perhaps a root canal would fix it. AND IT DID! I could NOT believe something so simple fixed the problem! Anyway, quite the story, so I hope I win :)
Hmmm... most interesting visit? Or weirdest! I had to go to the Dentist to have grafts done to keep my gums from receding further and they cut skin out of the roof of my mouth to do it! I guess it made sense since they were GRAFTS, but I wasn't expecting that for some reason. Just felt really bizarre and nothing I'd like to do again for sure! Would LOVE LOVE LOVE to win this prize pack and have my family blow the Dentist away with our AWESOME sparkling chompers! Thanks for the opportunity Jen and UrbanMoms!
Ok so I take my daughter to the dentist and she is around 4 so we took her to a dentist where they give the kids a medicine to drink which makes them very drowsy. The medicine taste really bad so they give them stickers after taking it, so while i am waiting for this medicine to have its full affect my daughter turns to me and says mom my squirrel has 2 heads she is referring to the sticker which was a cartoon character of a squirrel which only had one head, guess the medicine took affect.
I don't know if you would call this interesting, but I went to the dental surgeon to get crown lengthing done. The dentist says to me "I do this so often, I could do this with my eyes closed!" - better not!! lol
Wow! So many visits came back (thanx a lot by the way :P lol)...it would have to be having 4 wisdom teeth removed at once...I had to stop the dentist at one point as I thought he was removing my jaw!
I've been traumatized by a pediatric dentist with a bad chair-side manner in my tender years, who, along with his wife, told me (a four year old) that I was only crying because I was feeling sorry for myself. My four year old self was crying because the work he was doing in my mouth was causing a tremendous amount of pain. What is interesting about this is any time this particular dentist's stories are told, most know exactly who it is - guess I wasn't the only one he has traumatized!
Thanks for the chance to win such an awesome prize - I would love to keep my kids from being afraid of going to the dentist!
My cousin is the dentist in the family and he is great, I had five gold caps put in my mouth, he is so gentle that i fell alseep the whole time, Oh yes, i did have the laughing gas, but oh well, it was a great experience
i remember having a filling done when i was around 7 years old, i had a fear of needles so it was quite the ordeal for me when i realised that i would be getting a needle in my mouth, after everything was done my great aunt (who babysat me) took me straight to the variety store and bought me a lollipop!
One time at the dentist I was getting my teeth pulled, and the root was very deep in my gums. When the dentist finally got it to come out, my tooth popped out and bounced everywhere! It was quite the ordeal :)
I have a really small jaw, and once when I was at the dentist they had it propped open to clean, and when I went to close it finally it had locked. Can I just say pain...very painful.
My most interesting experience at the dentist was years ago after several nights out on the town dancing & then a couple of really tough days at work I went to get a filling. The dentist put in the freezing & told me to relax & he'd be right back. Next thing I knew he was handing me the bill, apparently I'd fallen asleep & didn't wake up until after the work was done. He figured I was his greatest patient ever just as I figured he was the best dentist.
I would LOVE to win this prize pack! I have 3 boys so this would come in handy. I am not going to lie. I HATE going to the dentist. I guess trauma of a couple of cavities as a kid, and late 80's braces and headgear certainly did not contribute to the love. Anyways, I was involved in a minor car accident and was plagued with headaches and migraines. So I tried everything to help. A lot of tension in the jaw developed and I developed TMJ (temporal mandibular joint) issues. I started to grind my teeth in my sleep but that made everything worse.
The dentist fit me for a bite guard but had to grind down a couple of teeth because they were being worn the wrong way (does that make sense?)
Anyways, long story short, I am in the chair, mouth open, hating the experience and then I hear a "Whoops" followed by an instant "arc" of blood shooting out of my mouth. Yikes! No kidding "Whoops!"
Maybe this qualifies as an interesting dental story. Still hate going to the dentist. But at least now because I have developed such an anxiety to it, I get to puff on the nitrous tank as much as I want lol.
When I was a kid, my dentist and pediatrician had an ongoing battle of whether my tonsils should stay or go. The tonsils were removed when I was a young adult, and no more sore throats after that!
I absolutely LOVE going to the dentist. When I was younger I was very fortunate to have had braces even though my parents had no insurance to cover the cost.
A beautiful healthy smile is the first thing I notice when talking to someone in front of me and I just feel that if we don't neglect them it doesn't have to be such a negative experience. I have never had an interesting visit to the dentist just positive experiences. I would really be so excited to win this for myself and my children!
My most interesting visit to the dentist involved my daughter when she was just 3 years old. She was getting her teeth cleaned and the dentist used the regular sort of gritty paste on the polisher, when she pointed at her mouth and wanted to talk. She proceeded to ask the dentist..."do you have any Aquafresh, it tastes better than this kind"? He burst out laughing at her honesty. LOL
I'm foverver flossing my teeth, this would be great
My most interesting visit was the last one, because I am pregnant, I did not have to have xrays taken. I loved that because I do not like taking xrays.
My most interesting visit was to the dentist to get my wisdom tooth pulled. As I was getting close to the limit on my benefits, I asked to forgo the "knockout" gas & saved somewhere over $100+. They said it shouldn't be an issue 'cos I was having a simple procedure. So instead I got the numbing stab of a needle. Dentist came in & in less than 5 minutes the tooth was out! I just couldn't believe I saved all that money on something that took less than 5 minutes & the only discomfort was the sound of the tooth being dislodged from the gums. Sounded like cracking & I actually thought the dentist was splitting my tooth but it came out perfectly with short roots. Went out with friends for a lovely meal of rotisserie chicken & only after the meal did the numbing finally wear off & the throbbing kicked in. But rest assured, it actually wasn't that bad. Few days later people thought I had gotten punched in the face 'cos it was bruising, hahaha.
Hopefully having a great product will reduce my visits to the dentist & reduce situations like this ... amazing how cheaper alternatives are never offered before the expensive option. Be an informed consumer :)
Thanks for the opportunity.
Every visit I have to the dentist is interesting, since I have a horrible time with my teeth. I guess the most interesting times were when I was a child, since we had a school-funded dental program back then and had our checkups and fillings done in school for free. With a son in Kindergarten now, GOSH how I miss that program!
My most interesting visit to the dentist was several years ago. The dentist froze my mouth to do some work, but then something went wrong, and he was unable to complete the procedure, and asked me to return another date. I was fine with this, and went about my day. Here's where it got more interesting -- so my friends and I were feeling a little hungry, and decided to get lunch at a well known hambuger place. As I was eating my burger, my friend indicated to me that I had some mustard on my mouth. When I tried to wipe with a napkin, I discovered I could not feel half of my face, so I kept hitting my face with the napkin trying to find my mouth. Totally underestimated the power of the freezing...made for an interesting time trying to finish that burger.
On my most recent six-month checkup, my dentist commented that I was his favourite type of patient - "low-maintenance" - I took that as a compliment!
When I was a kid and teenager, I LOVED going to the dentist. I lived in a small town where there were only 2 dentists, one REALLY OLD guy & the other a super good-looking young guy! Guess who was MY dentist?!?!? LOL! I think every female that went to him had a crush on him. When I finally moved away from home, I used to travel back to see him (an hour & a half drive one way)....he is still one of the most handsome men I've ever met.
He was always so gentle (almost like he knew that the hygenists weren't always) when he examined your teeth. I no longer travel back to see him (I have found a dentist much closer now), but my parents still do....my Mom makes sure to tell me that she's going to see him that day.
My interesting story is hopefully one set in the future after winning this dental care product.I hope to have the results Jen had!
i have very bad hearing and one day when i was at the dentist i was the only one sitting in the waiting room, so when they came and called a name i just assumed it was mine. then i was sitting in the dental chair and the assistant said "so you are here for a root canal" and i said i just had my root canal last week and she said that it says i am there for a root canal and i asked to see the name on the chart and it wasn't my name!! so glad we got that all figured out before a root canal was started!!
We took our daughter to the dentist when she was about 3 years old to have her teeth checked for proper growth. She refused to have the hygienist look at her teeth. We waited for almost a half and hour and she just would not open her mouth. We had to schedule another appointment for a few months down the road. As we were leaving the dentist office, she opens her mouth and says "see mom, my teeth are fine."
No great stories, just to say that using an electric toothbrush DOES make a difference.
When she was 4, my now 6-year-old told the dentist that her teeth did not need any work because she was a princess and had 'princess teeth'.
She still hasn't needed any work, and with a good electric toothbrush, maybe she won't for a long time!
I think my most interesting dental experiece will be today...I am off shortly to have a root canal done!!
Ironically enough I was just at the dentist a few days ago and the hygienist told me that she and the other hygienists were testing the Sonicare electric toothbrush. She said she absolutely loved it. I am currently using a battery-operated one but have been looking at the electrics and giving them a lot of thought - the hygienist said they operate more smoothly than the battery ones.
My most interesting visit to the Dentist happened when my son was three years old. The visit was for a check up, but he just couldn't sit still and the dentist thought if she scared him and then told him he was bad he would be better. This didn't help mother or son!Unfortunately she didn't understand children, but our new dentist is child-friendly and our son has been well-behaved ever since we found a new dentist. The treasure box of stickers and toys is also a great incentive.
Growing up I had good dentists & not so good ones but never a really traumatic visit to the dentist, that was until my early 20's when I went to get my wisdom teeth removed. People have wisdom teeth out all the time right? no big deal, or so I thought. 45 Minutes into the first extraction I was ready to leave the office with my tooth half out, & I had four more to go. I was only half frozen and extremely anxious, that will forever go down as my worst appointment ever.
Fast forward 5 years, I became almost OCD when it came to taking care of my teeth - mainly because I didn't want problems as I had developed a healthy fear of the dentist. Not a single visit in that time. I finally broke down & decided it was time to find a new dentist. After reading every review of every dentist I could find, I settled on one & booked an appointment. She was AMAZING, so amazing that I left me take out the rest of my wisdom teeth, it took her ~ 5 -15 minutes for each one. Out before I could panic or change my mind.
I have unfortunately moved so the hunt for a new dentist is one - these sonicare brushes sure would help with my oral hygiene obsession.
My most interesting visit to the dentist was when he had to pull a tooth. He first tried to do a root canal but he stated that it wasn't working, so he decided to pull my tooth. At this time, my tooth was in four piece, he was having a fun time pulling it. Thi electric toothbrush will come in handy for myself and family.
My most interesting visit to the dentist was just recently. I did not kow that fillings have to be replaced. For some reason I just thought a filling was there in the tooth forever. Well, you can imagine my surprise when the dentist said a filling of mine should be replaced. Now I know!
My most interesting vist to the dentist occurred when I was just a little girl and the dentist had to pull one of my badly decayed teeth. After he was done and because I had been so brave, the receptionist gave me two lollipops!!
My most interesting visit to the dentist was a few years ago. I had to get a wisdom tooth removed. I have a really bad fear of going to the dentist so I sat there shaking, waiting for him to remove the tooth. A few minutes had passed and I was getting impatient and asked when he was going to remove it and he laughed and showed me the tooth and said he had removed it a few minutes earlier! I thought it would be much, much worse!
My most interesting visit to the dentist was the time when he complimented me on my tooth brushing and flossing
I don't know if you would consider a bill for $12,500 at the dentist "interesting" but that is what I spent last year for gum grafting, bone grafting, and five new crowns.
It's true - when I started using a power toothbrush, the dentist said, "you must use a power brush, I can tell". Mine is really old now and I desperately need a new one.
I don't think I have ever had an interesting visit to the Dentist, but I go regularly every 9 months.
I will never forget the time I thought I was going in for a check up and came home with braces.
I was having a bad day, at work in a kitchen, a few years back. I ended up slicing my finger, quite badly, and had to go to the hospital and get stitches. Later that day I was scheduled for a root-canal, but I still made it, stitches and a bandaged hand. I was petrified of the procedure, but I turned out to be the most pleasant part of my day.
I will always remember the first time I had root canal!
I hate the Dentist. When I absolutely have to visit, I sit down in the chair, close my eyes and don't open them till he says hes done!
Sure would love to win this..we do not have power toothbrushes!!!
My most interesting visit to the dentist was as a child I had to go and get my pencil case zipper removed from my braces....was chewing on it and there it was! Had a lot of stares going in and the dentist thought it was hilarious...I felt like crawling in a hole!
My dentist advised me to try an electric toothbrush and it has made a huge difference in my life. An electric toothbrush is a great investment!
My most interesting visit to the dentist was when as a youngster I thought I'd be brave enough not to have freezing for a filling. I was more worried about "the needle" instead. It was a LONG time in "the chair"............still as the years went on and several fillings later ( I'm a sucker for sweets), I still refused the needle. Silly me!!! One day I had a brave visit and finally took the freezing. Wow........was I missing out.
I've learned my lesson over the years. Since those days long ago, I have had 3 children and it's still a toss up of which was more painful. Hmmmmm....well both my kids and teeth were well worth the pain.
On one occasion I went to the dentist for a regular cleaning and check up. The dentist reeked of garlic ( the odour was coming out of his skin). The combination of garlic and dental smells almost made me vomit...
when the dentist told me that there was no plaque on my teeth and he told me to keep doing what i was doing
My most interesting visit was several years ago when I learned I needed gum grafts. I thought I had been brushing well, but my gums were receding at an early age. After the rather painful grafts I decided to do a much better job of brushing. An electric tooth bush would be ideal for me.
Dentists visits are always memorable in my family. When I was younger I needed veneers on my front teeth after braces. It was a long ordeal- one I hope my own children will be able to avoid. Eventually my teeth looked great, but from the initial consult about the veneers to the tedious completion I was on tender hooks. I did learn to meditate to relax through the whole process. Now, it is important I brush and floss carefully.
my most interestnig dental visit was when I broke a tooth when I was pushed into a locker at school and my dentist fixed it with a cap that very day so I didn't have to look like a Jack-o-Lantern!
I've used a Sonicare for a few years - actually my toothbrush is so old now that the heads are being discontinued - and it has also given me great dental checkups. Every time I used to go in, they'd measure my gums for recession, but after only a few months of using Sonicare, the gum recession stopped and hasn't returned. So....my most interesting visit to the dentist would have to be when they measured those gaps for the first time and were astonished that things had improved dramatically in my mouth!
My most interesting visit to the dentist was when I was a child. Before he clean my tooth I had to shew on this little red pill. It show everywhere I hadn't brush properly. Then he give me some to bring home. I just loved brushing my teeth. Trying to brush away the red spots.
My most interesting visit to a dentist, was the day I took my eldest son to the dentist for the very first time. It was a great expereince for him. Everything in the office was geared to make it calm, relaxing & unthreatning. All the tools & furniture was also kid size. I thought it was an excellent introduction to dentist visits for my son, who turned 28 this past July!
Well I was sitting in the chair getting work done for just over an hour but he had the chair so low that my head was lower than the rest of my body. When I got up and went into the reception area to pay I ended up fainting and they had to give me oxygen. Needless to say the waiting room was full and the kids in it were crying! How embarassing!!!
Ughhh.....my 12 year old son has chipped his front tooth x2. The first time it was fixed it looked like the dentist had shoved a piece on white gum where the tooth chip was. It was horrible. However, the second time he chipped it, we changed dentists, she fixed his tooth and you would never know.
Going to the dentist for my scheduled checkup and finding my little granddaughter next door getting her 1st checkup! So random!
My last trip was awfull I had a tooth that had to be pulled from I root canal gone bad ..I was in pain for 2weeks
When I went for my checkup and found out that due to surgery I had, I now have to take antibiodics prior to having my teeth cleaned, so the dentist ended up giving me a prescription.
My last visit to the dentist was a nightmare. I had a tooth ache for a while and I tried to fight it with Tylenol X Strength. My face got swollen up and I had to make an emergency call to the dentist. I had two of my teeth extracted. :(
My funniest visit to a dentist was to a dental surgeon. (Seriously!)
I had seen my dentist a week before and the hygienist told me a story about how she had assisted the surgeon in the past, and the patient kept hitting on him after she was on laughing gas (the dental surgeon was VERY good looking).
When I went for my appointment, all I kept thinking was that I didn't want to try to pick him up. So I kept telling myself "Whatever you do, don't try to pick up the dentist.". I repeated the sentence to myself before answering each of his pre-surgery questions.
About six questions in it dawned on me, based on the look on the dental surgeon's face...I wasn't just "thinking" that statement.
Oops!
The most interesting visit to my dentist was a few months ago, when I noticed that when I was lying back in the chair he had put really funny posters on the ceiling so you could look at them while he was working on your teeth!
When I go to the dentist, I just love the music that they play. Isn't it strange to think about the music while at the dentist. I must let him know that sometime.
I actually LOVE going to the dentist, and I always have. Even as a young girl it was something I used to ask for for Birthdays and Christmas gifts!
It wasn't until just recently that I realized why. The dentist office was the first time I had the word beautiful and my name said in the same sentence. I was told I had beautiful teeth. I have carried that confidence every since.
My most interesting visit to the dentist was when they first started putting T.V.'s in the examination rooms at my dentists office. They certainly help keep your mind off of why your there. :)
I went in to get my wisdom teeeth removed. They said the nerves were wrapped around the tooth, but they could just pull it out anyways. The problem was it would risk half my mouth and face being numb for the rest of my life. After another hour I told them just to pull it out and luckily no bad side effects. Probably not wrth the risk, but I was young.
The shortest visit ever!
I used to always cringe when I had to visit the dentist. My gums would be tender and bleed and forget about toughening them up with flossing.
Anyways a few years ago I switched my tooth brush from a manual brush to an electric one and it changed my life and since then my visits are much shorter, my gums are healthier and I actually enjoy going to the dentist now.
So for all of you out there that still use a manual brush, make the switch to a power brush today, it is well worth the money....unless you win this great contest of course.
I won a sonic tooth brush about five years ago and was really septical that it was going to make a difference. It DID the dentist commented on how much less plack I had on my teeth and my gums seemed healthier.
A further issue is really that video gaming has become one of the all-time most important forms of excitement for people spanning various ages. Kids have fun with video games, and also adults do, too. The particular XBox 360 is probably the favorite games systems for individuals that love to have hundreds of video games available to them, along with who like to experiment with live with others all over the world. Many thanks for sharing your notions.
My most interest dentist visit was taking my little guy to get his first cavity filled. He had to get laughing gas so he was sporting this gas mask that covered his face. It was endearing how brave my little guy was! I was a proud momma to say the least that day!
