11 days is a loooooong time to be away. Of course I miss my husband and my friends and my parents but there is someone I just need to see. Someone I need to hug and squeeze and spend some time with so badly. She, my favourite girl in the world, watched the Chelsea football match her brother and uncle attended cheering just like she was there herself. Finally the day is here! My 9-year-old son and I have been planning this trip for ages and today we are actually on our way. No more "5 more sleeps". No more packing or planning or wishing. Here it is! And we are two very lucky people. Tonight we leave my hubby and 6-year-old daughter for an 11 day adventure in London and Paris (and yes, I'm a bit nervous about leaving her for that long).
