Similar to Sara's weekend (although not nearly as fun or jam packed) we will be helping crush hunger. Our local food bank is low and one local boy decided that if each family from the participating teams in the hockey tournament that we host this year (and every Thanksgiving weekend) brought non perishable food items to donate, then we could replenish the stock. We will be bringing a bag each day this weekend.
I think ALL the food banks are low. :(
I'll buy some extra canned things and get them to the right place this weekend. There's bound to be a pasta special for 99 cents someplace... even a jar of peanut butter for $3.50 could be a huge help to someone who has not a lot to eat. It's the price of a daily latte for some people...
