Sometimes Holland Feels Like Hell

Frosty Balls

Tracey has posted about her balls before so I figure I can post about my balls too.
These ones are big and beautiful.
Heavy. Colourful. Cold. And can only be played with outside.

To make your own you will need 3 things:
water, balloons and food colouring

Oh. You'll also need very cold temperatures.
Put in 10+ drop of colouring into the balloon, fill with water and let all the extra air out before knotting the balloon.
Put the balloons outside for a few days to ensure they freeze all the way through.

The balloon will just peel right off the ice and you'll be left with these gorgeous ice marbles.
yardplay.JPGMine look more like beautiful ice Easter eggs - I only used between 5-7 drops of colouring. If you want more vibrant colours use more than 10 drops.

You can use them for outdoor winter landscaping in your garden for a pretty pop of colour.
We started rolling ours into each other and the cracked ice is like art within them now. So pretty.

So there you go. Happy ice ballin!
