Epcot is more than twice as big as either the Magic Kingdom or Disney-MGM Studios. It rarely sees the congestion so common to the other parks but the big attractions have lines every bit as long as those of Space Mountain or Rockin' Roller Coaster. All this is to say be prepared to do a lot of walking and standing in line, but all at your leisure and that’s the big difference. There’s no doubt that Disney is one big sensory overload and by day 4 we were more than ready to SKI DISNEY. I know: Florida, sun...sand...skiing... what the heck? Welcome to Blizzard Beach, folks. One more of Disney’s coups where, the story goes, Disney built a ski resort after a freak Florida snowstorm. But as the lifts went up so did the temperature leaving some of the world’s fastest longest slushing gushing downhill slides ever seen. You don’t. You change direction and head to the movies in Disney’s MGM Studios. MGM studios feature a ton of movie/TV based attractions. As soon as we entered the park my kids were dancing and singing wildly to the “High School Musical” review, a moving musical that tours the park several times a day. Talk about set the tone! Be sure to pick up a “Times Guide” when you enter the park because it lists all the show times and really helps you plan your day.
