As an adult, I must say that it's a great break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It's been particularly busy these past few weeks so the thought of an afternoon with my sister and her 6 year old daughter was bliss! The most recent concert, EMILY SAVES THE ORCHESTRA, incorporated the talented actors and dancers from the Platypus... I caught a performance by The Lumineers on Saturday Night Live this weekend, since I record that show, and I've found myself watching it again and again since then. I'm sure nerves played with their voices a little bit, but they really looked like they were having the time of their lives that night. It makes me smile.Says Wikipedia, some of the band members hailed from New York, but relocated to Denver, Colorado in order to make ends meet in a less expensive city... that takes some balls, I reckon. The two gent met the lady with the cello, and... More »
The Marc Joseph Band heats up centre stage!
Canada is rockin' with talent!! Like most big cities around the world, we get our fair share of hard working musicians who work their asses off to get on the airways. The Marc Joseph Band has been hitting the Canadian scene for the past four years. Working every stage imaginable to cut their teeth. They've been a popular cover band for the most part with a solid and growing fan base. Now they are making the leap with their first original EP. We were recently invited to their launch party at Toronto's Hard Rock Cafe. Along with a few noted media types... More »
