Have a Better Breakfast

| 3 Comments |
What are you eating for breakfast? If your answer was:
a) the crusts my kids have left behind;
b) mini Snickers bars and bags of fuzzy peaches;
or
c) nothing,
then it's time to work on your breakfast habits.

Last week I was sent a sample of Dorset Cereals and I'm already addicted. It's packed with more fruit, nuts and taste than other muesli, has fewer calories than granola and is quickly becoming a family favourite. The cereals all contain whole grains and are an excellent source of fibre.

There are six delicious recipes from Super Cranberry, Cherry & Alond Muesli to Fruits, Nuts & Seeds Muesli (you try resisting this blend of raisins, dates, banana, pumpkin and sunflower seeds!). The cereals are great with milk (or warmed milk for a hot breakfast). I've also layered cereal with yogurt and berries for a mid-morning "pick me up" to go with my coffee. My kids like eating the cereal dry as a post-hockey, pre-bedtime snack.

So, put down your kids' Halloween candy, and find Dorset cereals in your local grocery store. They're available across the country in Loblaws, Sobeys, Metro and Longo's.
