Last week a number of UrbanMoms bloggers were treated to a fun night out with great food, fun drinks and fantastic company. The bonus? We learned the secrets of wrapping great gifts from Lynn Spence, design and style guru, and the wonderful folks at Scotch Canada.
First, please drink in the beauty of this wrapping job.
Now that I have you drooling over the loveliness, let me show you some of the products that can turn you into a gift wrapping fool goddess! I promise these three tools will have you well on your way to impressive looking presents.
First, Precision Ultra Edge Scissors. These babies are billed as "sharp beyond 100,000 cuts with titanium-fused blades". That sounds very impressive (and slightly Edward Scissorhands-ish), but what it comes down to is a pair of scissors that will slice through your gift wrap without stalling, stopping and ripping.
Keep these scissors to yourself; you don't want them used for cutting the dog's hair, slicing through hockey tape and dividing up fruit-by-the-foot.
Second, Pop-up Tape Handband. This is pure genius from Scotch. It's a handband you wear over your knuckles with pre-cut tape strips that allow for one-handed tape jobs. This comes in handy for when you're using one hand to feed the baby, drink your wine, or hold the wrapping paper down.
Finally, Scotch Double Sided Tape is a permanent and photo-safe tape that will keep your bows in place, your gift cards where they're supposed to be (you're going to want to get full credit for these gorgeous gifts) and in emergency will keep your belt from popping open when you laugh (not that I'd know this from experience or anything).

I'm in love with the handband...seriously - I'm goign to just buy myself stuff and wrap it.
I used that pre-cut tape for years with my biz... saved me SO much time, I can't even tell you. Wonderful!
and how do you like your tree Jen with the beautiful prezzies wrapped under it? Honestly I feel whole . Sadly the others are not quite as pretty. But the tools do promise improvement, yes?

Would you believe that she took the gift from under my tree and put it under hers!?!
She said that it's so pretty she wants to look at it as often as she can. I can't blame her.
