How Sexy Can a Vacuum Cleaner Be?

dyson_dc43_animal__98693_zoom.jpgVacuum cleaning...hardly a springboard for sexy thoughts for most people. However, when I brought home a new Dyson vacuum cleaner last week and my husband got so excited that he stayed up late, putting it together and testing it out on our various floor coverings, I realized again how sexy his mastery of certain domestic chores truly is.

In our household over our almost sixteen years of marriage, we've fallen into a comfortable partnership where we've divided and conquered all the little things that need to work to make our household run smoothly. He wakes up early and makes the coffee. He makes a packed lunch for each of us, while I pack lunches for the three kids. I handle all field trip forms, agenda signings and test quizzing, while he cleans up the kitchen behind our mess. I iron his shirt...he takes stuff to the dry cleaners. I grocery shop; he gardens. Every now and then I'll roll my eyes dramatically and say, "I just can't face another trip to No Frills," and he takes the grocery list and faces the crowds, while I stay behind and clean the bathrooms. For the most part, it all just works for us, and I expect most relationships have similar stories.

But vacuuming had fallen into a sort of "no mans land". Our every-other-week cleaning lady manged to regularly pull the old vacuum cleaner out and got rid of dust from our hardwood, area rugs and broadloom. We both assumed she was changing bags, but honestly I can't remember the last time we bought any, and I can't remember when either one of us used the vacuum between her visits.

So Bill's excitement over this new Dyson Ball technology vacuum cleaner was surprising. Turns out the company's done a great job with their marketing, and Bill lectured me on the 6 years, 497 engineers and 2496 prototypes needed to develop the new Dyson ball vacuum. He was eager to put the promised greater maneuverability to the test, and started nipping into corners, darting around sofas and stretching the instant telescopic hose up the stairs.

The motors, electronics, ducting and airways are all contained within the ball, making canister vacuums that are easier to pull, and uprights that are easier to push. (Inventor James Dyson maintains that "you're either a pusher or a puller." Interesting fact that most Canadians are pullers, but in Quebec the majority use an upright, making them pullers...vive la difference!)

Then, lo, the exclamation..."Jen, come up here and see this!" Such excitement as he showed me a half-full canister of left-behind dust, hair and dirt that he'd suctioned from our living space (the plastic's clear, so you can see all the nasty stuff). Back to the marketing, and he explained to me that Dyson has been continually refining vacuum cyclone technology since inventing it more than 20 years ago. Dyson's Radial Root Cyclone technology captures more microscopic dust than any other cyclone.

I was quick to employ the trigger-bin emptying system; with the press of a button, the dust and dirt is emptied directly into the waste bin, so your vacuums ready to start all over again. The filter can be hand washed and air dried, so there's no need to worry about replacing bags or filters.

I know our house is cleaner than it's been in the past, and that's a healthy change. Dyson is the only vacuum cleaner certified by the Asthma and Allergy Society of Canada. I know the vacuum is fun and easy to use because Bill's continued to "test drive" it over the past week. Dyson ball vacuum cleaners are available at dyson.com and major Canadian retailers. The DC43 model that we tested retails for $699.99 and comes with a five year parts and labour guarantee.

I can't promise it's all enough to get my vacuuming regularly, but it sure does make me happy to see my husband pick up one of the unassigned household chores so eagerly...and Dyson has made a true convert of him!

Dyson was wonderful enough to give me a vacuum for review purposes, but when I told them how much I loved the product, they offered one for an UrbanMoms member, too.

we really need to wash our floors...i really don't like doing that. i have to admit, though, once it's done they're glorious!

I DO NOT UNDESTAND? HOW CAN A HOUSE HOLD CHOIR SUCK? MY SERVANTS DO ALL THE HOUSE HOLD CHORES,THEY MIGHT SUCK FOR THEM,BUT I RATHER ENJOY WATCHING MY LITTLE FRENCH MAID DO THE CHORES. I ASKED HER IF SHE THOUGHT THE CHORES SUCKED,AND SHE SAID OF COURSE NOT,YOU PAY ME $35.DOLLARS AN HOUR, I LOVE TO DO MORE.SO I ASKED THE REST OF MY SERVANTS AND THEY ALL REPLIED WITH THE SAME ANSWERE,EXCEPT ONE,MY HAND MAIDEN,WHO SAID THE HOUSE HOLD CHORES DONT SUCK,I DO!

I think cooking just sucks! Everything about it: planning, chopping, working in our hot kitchen and then cleaning up the carnage after...
I would love to vacuum with a sweet machine like the Dyson! Our vacuum just celebrated its 25th birthday...everyone who sees it is horrified!

Anything having to do with floors, vacuuming, mopping, baseboards. It's hard work!

There aren't really any chores that don't suck but I think that my most dreaded would have to be the dishes (by hand). Or possibly laundry seeing as I live in an apartment building and don't have my own machines. Oh, to have a house with a dishwasher and laundry room :)

There is definitely no household chore that I enjoy, but cleaning the bathroom (toilet - ugh!) is definitely what I would consider the worst!

Anything repetitive. It's one thing to complete a chore that you won't have to think about again for a while; but it's all drudgery that begin to pile in the wake of completing a task that makes me sigh -- laundry, dishes, dusting, vacuuming, etc.

Cleaning in essence "sucks" I am the mother of 3 boys so i'd have to say cleaning the bathroom is the worst! Floors would be a close second with 3 boys, 2 small dogs vacuuming is a daily necessity. It would be much more enjoyable with a sexy new partner ...The Dyson ball vacuum DC43 model is as sexy as it gets and I'd love to have one as my sexy new partner in "grime" :)

DUSTING!!!! It's the WORST!!! I would rather clean the toilets! It just seems like such a waste to me, as fast as you do it, more is settling behind you.

Actually I kinda hate vacumming but this would go a long way towards changing that, but bathrooms are a closse second.

It's a toss up between washing floors and baseboards or vacuming. The vacuming is easier but with a shedding Golden Retriever I seem to be doing it every 2nd day.

The household chore that "sucks" the most for me is vacuuming the stairs. There are 5 sets of feet that go up and down 2 sets of stairs approx. 100 times a day. There are all kinds of little critters that live on our stairs. Yuck. Can't say I love dragging our 2 ton ancient vacuum up and down those stairs every other day.
Would LOVE to have the Dyson DC43 vacuum to make this chore more tolerable.
Thank-you for the opportunity to be considered!!!!

toilet cleaning. yuk!

The chore that 'sucks' most for me is cleaning the bathroom. 3 boys and I swear, not one of them can hit the toilet!! lol I clean the bathroom far to many times a day!
I would love a Dyson - it is in my top three item wishlist. With 4 kids, a big dog and a cat I vacuume at least once a day!

Cleaning the toilet is the absolute worst for me. With 2 boys and a husband with bad aim, it gets pretty disgusting.

I HATE, HATE, HATE washing windows!!!! I live in an industrial neighborhood where the windows always need cleaning too.... which really grinds my gears!

Cleaning my daughters room really sucks!! She is a hoarder of everything and I would much rather shut the door !! The Dyson vacuum DC43 could get around tight corners and make this chore more tolerable. When Mom is happy the whole family is happy.

The chore that "Sucks" the most for me, is cleaning the Laminate floors in our apartment. they can't be mopped!

the chore that i think that "sucks" the most is vacuuming i hate my vacuum well i cant say i hate it anymore my husband told me the other day that he had fried it out well so much for that but yest its a long process and boring

The chore that "Sucks" the most for me is vacuuming, 4 cats = 4 million dust bunnies.

We have a Dirt Devil upright vacuum that needs to have 3 different filters cleaned. It is a dirty, difficult job and I hate it. My husband mumbles and grumbles when he does it. I just talk outloud to the machine and tell it what a stupid machine it is.

I HATE washing the kitchen floor!

Actually i REALLY hate vacuuming. It's a combination of the cumbersome, hard to push vacuum we have, as well as cleaning the filter afterwards. A new vacuum would be AWESOME.

I think washing the floor really "sucks". It is my most tiresome, long and gruelling household chore.

cleaning toilets for sure

Honestly it is vacuuming because we have 3 dogs. I try to vacuum every other day and it is so cumbersome with the one we have right now. It would be awesome to have the Dyson to make the job easier.

The one chore I really hate is cleaning the litter box. I will gladly clean someone's bathroom in trade. Let me know if there are any takers.

The chore that really "sucks" for me is doing the dishes by hand especially when I'm not the one who dirtied ALL those dishes and pots and pans making a gourmet meal and no one seems to want to help clean up! BUT, when I have someone to visit with, this chore can be pleasant, ALMOST!

Oh mm gee I hate vacuuming, when I turn ours on it stinks so bad I feel bad for my kids watching me, even when I change the bag it still emits this awful smell! I'm pretty much on my hands and knees the whole time trying to get in all the corners and edges, it's brutal! Please please let me win!!

I hate to vacum with my current peice of garbage the lock is busted so everytine i stop the vacum and push it up it falls back down and wacks me in the head!!!! oh ya and not to mention cleaning up the dogs messes outside and the bunnys mmmmmm gotta love all the cleaning we do lol

bathrooms, especially tubs and toilets/showers

Cleaning bathrooms to me is really "sucks" to me. I really really hate it! Cleaning toilets and vacuuming the carpets that full of hair in the bathrooms, really give me a big headache!

The suckiest chore ever is washing walls and windows - the angle is really hard on the back!

I hate vacuuming the hallway. For some reason, no matter how much I clean, there is aways so much dirt along the baseboards. It drives me nuts!

The chores I think that sucks is emptying the dishwasher and cleaning the toilet

I have a dog, cat, two guinea pigs and two boys, so the cleaning is never ending. The chore that sucks the most is the animal hair, it's every where, and when i say everywhere, I mean EVERYWHERE! A vacuum that looks good and can get the job done faster would be very big HELP!!!

The chore that sucks is vacuuming the stairs. The heavy vaccum balancing onthe stairs below. There is always hair left behind.

Cleaning the bathroom sucks

Cleaning anything really sucks- who wouldn't prefer to kick back and relax all day? :-) The worst for me is the vacuuming. We have a ton of carpet and it's on two levels so I have to lug the cleaner up and down the stairs. No fun!

Lets face it, household chores in general suck. I find the vacuuming kills my back and the bathroom duties are just disgusting. Oh to have the money for a maid.

shower. deffinitly scrubbing showers.. i can go elbow deep in a toilet noo problem but the darn shower haunts my dreams!!

nothing about cleaning is enjoyable - except the results of course!

Definitely would have to be washing floors. So much work is involved if you don't just want to push dirt around. Then your have to move everything so you can actually clean under it and then move it all back once the floors are dry. Plus you end up with wet socks and leave footprints everywhere. The worst!

I absolutely detest dusting - with a passion. Having to move every single thing, wipe it off and put it back drives me nuts. What a waste of precious time. I should subscribe to the theory my mother lived by - if you never move anything, nobody will know how much dust there is.

I hate laundry. It is never completely done. By the time you get the final load done and put away, the hamper is half full again.

Don't mine cooking but the cleaning the mess after and the dishes.

I hate to vacuum because I am always wrapping the cord around me some how

Cleaning the bathroom is not my favourite job.

For me, ironing sucks the most.

The chore that sucks the most is dusting, especially when the cat sheds like crazy!

Cleaning the toilet! Can't get worse than that.

LMAO besides every stinking chore I would have to say taking care of the pond outside, nope not a typical chore in most households but it is in mine. Fish are so messy!!

Kevin.linkie@hotmail.com

The bathroom - not a fan!! It's the wet hairs in the drain that get me.

Cleaning the toilet, washing the floors and vacuuming the stairs suck! I would love a dyson! My old vacuum sucks! :)

what really sucks is vacuuming the house. too bad the dyson was not a self propelled and self empyting machine

Cleaning the kitty litter! A kid in my building was asking to do odd jobs and I hate doing the litterbox so much that I offered him the job every other day...would have been pretty good pocket change. .. he said, " No way, not that desperate" :-)

I hate cleaning floors.

I actually don't mind most chores like laundry, or dishes.. its something you just get use to I guess. But one chore that REALLY sucks... is cleaning the filter in the vaccuum, you never know what you will find!

I really think that cleaning the soaker tub sucks - next is the finicky dusting of the base boards - both jobs that really suck

The worst is cleaning the oven racks by hand as they cannot be left in to clean when the oven is selfcleaning.

I really hate putting away laundry. I would live out of laundry baskets if I could.

Dusting! Sucks big time. It just reappears few seconds later. Runner up is windows.

dusting as it stirs everything up and I sneeze

Vacumming the furniture... nothing could be worse !!!

I hate cleaning the stove and I don't care if it's a self cleaning oven because there are still racks and knobs and handles that collect dirt.

I really don't like cleaning the toilet or ovens.

Cleaning Toilets. It. Is. Gross.

Dishes have to be my least favorite, especially by hand!

I've been using a broom over the carpet in the house since the last model died and with a cat and dog, I must say, sweeping is the biggest chore!

I don't mind housework but dusting is the worst chore because in a few minutes the furnitures looks dusty again especially on sunny days.

Cleaning the bathroom especially the toilets, sucks!

Cleaning the glass shower doors is really awful.

Folding socks after they are clean when doing laundry and cleaning the BBQ.

The one job I detest is dusting. I have hated dusting all my life and that is one job that doesn't get done. It sucks.

I absolutely detest cleaning the bathroom, especially the toilet and shower.

Putting laundry away, vacuuming.

LOL in this house vacuuming because for some crazy reason we have carpet even though ALL my children have asthma and allergies! Plus I hate cleaning toilets (just gross, and so not nice;)

Cleaning up dirty floors yukkkkkk!!

I think ironing just sucks, so therefore I don't do it!

Cleaning the bathroom sucks!!! It's also the room that seems to be dirty again just after you clean it!

I can't stand folding the laundry! I don't know why, I like the washing and the putting away, but for some reason I hate folding. Ironing is a huge chore too.

definetely cleaning the oven because I am allergic to oven cleaner and can barely breathe!

I hate vacuuming the floor with an outdated model. If I had a vacuum that could actually suck up dirt, I would enjoy it more.

cleaning the toilet! i love vacuuming!

Cleaning the bathroom.

cleaning the toilet

In general all household chores kind of sucks. The one that suck the most for me is cooking. I dislike the whole thing but I do it. My old Filter Qeen is falling apart, it is 27 year old after all. The on and off button doesn't work so I now have to unplug it when I want to stop so that sucks big time.

Menu planning is my least favourite household chore...even though I can put my feet up when I'm doing it!

Cleaning the toilet has got to be the worst!

I hate cleaning the house, it's seems such a waste of time, it only looks good for a very short time, especially with small children in the house. Fingerprints everywhere. Another thing I hate is meal planning, I never seem to be able to think of enough different meals - I find that really tough.

All cleaning sucks but especially vacuuming because it is such hard work with a vacuum cleaner that doesn't work all that well.

I do not mind household chores, except for one, cleaning the bathrooms! I clean our bathrooms twice a week and I despise every minute of it. Sometimes, I wish I was not such a clean nut because I want the bathroom to shine when I am done. It looks great until someone washes their hands and there goes the great cleaning job. I cannot understand how our bathrooms can get so scummy. After all, we are all very clean people. It does not seem to matter because whenever I clean the bathroom, it is always dirty. My dream would be to have someone do just that one chore for me. I know my Husband would be glad to do it, but I know his job would not meet with my expectations and I would end up doing it over anyway.

Thanks for the great giveaway opportunity. After reading your review, this would be a wonderful product to own. ~Pauline (dod@rogers.com)

The chore I think sucks the most is laundry! Now maybe that's because we have a family of 6, and I get stuck doing it all. I have A LEAST 2 loads a day, it's the folding and putting away that I don't like... Tho I'm sure the dishes would be a close second, but I make the kids do that ;)

cleaning the bathroom really sucks!

all house work sucks, but I hate cleaning the floor.

Cleaning the bathrooms

Hmmm...cleaning the litter box or the eavestroughs...heck, both qualify...call it a tie!

Running a day care and having 3 of my own kids under 3 means cleaning never ends. The one job I tend to put off the longest is cleaning out the fridge. Worst job ever! Juice spills, unfinished containers, and all round a very tedious chore

Cleaning dark hardwood floors sucks big time

Cleaning pots and pans I've neglected for a few days is the worst. I think I'd rather clean litter pans than have stinking slimey things brush past my fingers in murky water!

I hate cleaning the bathroom especially the toilets.

Cleaning the dust off the ceiling fans, only job where I need a ladder

I hate cleaning the oven. It's the worst.

Cleaning the bathroom. nobody in my family feels the need to clean up after themself after they use it. It drives me CRAZY!!!

Dusting sucks, seems I do it and 5 minutes later looks like it hasn't been done in a week, and having to dust all the knick knacks, pictures, plants and so on, worst job ever!

Vacuuming and mopping, with three dogs, there is alot of hair and if I don't mop right after I vacuum, I have to do it all over again!

I shutter at the thought of housework. I do however love a clean, organized home. We have horses and I would rather work my butt off in the barn doing chores, then having to do housework!

I absolutely hate washing floors!

By far VACUUMING! I Have central vac, and its over 12 years old. I seriously work up a huge sweat lugging the thing up and down my two flights of stairs. And with having a lab for a dog, I have to do this weekly! Urgh! Would love to win this, have had my eye on this Dyson for a while now, just dont have the money to cough up for it!!! Fingers crossed and good luck everyone! :)

What sucks the most is vacuuming the carpets. We have a big house with lots of carpet. It takes a long time and is a tiring chore. But when it is done, it looks great.

cleaning around the toilet, hard to get all the nooks and crannies!

I concur - vacuuming the stairs is a pain, balancing on each step - making do without the beaters, ugh! - but cleaning the washrooms are almost as bad, powder everywhere!

Cleaning the toilet is definitely the worst... Yuck!

Vacuuming under the furniture "sucks" the most for me. I can never get the vacuum to reach and ours is always clogging.

All cleaning sucks. I have friends who love cleaning and we are definitely opposites! A dyson vacuum would make them jealous though!

Windows are my weekly horror - since we live near the ocean, the saltwater reeks havoc on them. When the sun comes around the front of the house, you can see every dirt speck on the bay windows and it drives us nuts.

Anything to do with the bathroom sucks for me. I really dislike scrubbing the tub and toilet.

I hate cleaning the bathroom :(, but I LOVE this vacuum :)

What really sucks is the bathroom, the whole thing, especially the toilet!!! Yuck!

I hate all chores as it takes time away from spending with my family or me time. But top of the list is a tie between floors and ironing.

The bathroom is the worst thing to clean. It basically needs to be done everyday and for 5 minutes looks clean.

I dislike all chores as they take away time from my family and me time. but the worse for me is a tie between floors and ironing.

All vacuuming is a chore - especially when you have animals!!

Definitely vacuuming, especially when you have to do it every day! We have an extremely furry dog who sheds 24/7. There are always tumbleweeds of fur in every corner, thus the daily vacuuming!

I really hate doing most chores. But the one I hate most is cleaning the boys/mens bathroom. That should say it all! They don't have the best aim.

With 4 cats, hands-down the worst chore is cleaning the litter box, especially when they will "christen" the clean boxes immediately after they are cleaned, so they are never really ever cleaned.

Ridding our home of cat hair and dust created by our three feral cats which we have adopted, is a constant chore. Though we love the cats dearly, some days I find the cleaning and vacuuming overwhelming. It never ceases to amaze me how they can create so much dust on my glass table tops, etc. when I have just vacuumed. I am never sure if I am just a lousy cleaner or if there are other vacuums and brushes on the market which would work better for me.

I really hate doing dishes. I love to cook but hate the clean up after

Cleaning the bathroom sucks - I dont know why I have to clean the toilet I never miss every but somehow it is my job - cant quite figure that one out and because we have white ceramics in our powder room we need to vacuum before we can mop the floor as sweeping just doesn't get the job done

Cleaning the shower - it seems like you can scrub for hours with every cleaner on the market and STILL - the shower walls are not shiny - SPOTS, SPOTS, SPOTS.

Cleaning the Bathrooms

The oven! Oh I hate cleaning the oven.

DUSTING is just the worst....it seems it can never stay clean for long!!!

Bathrooms are the worst with a husband, 2 youngs boys and a very picky daughter the bathroom never seems clean enough.

Yes, that's our house too lol!

Washing clothes such!!! Neverending!

I hate cleaning the bathroom. The toilet and sink need wiping up at least twice a day if not more. It's a discusting job but somebody has to do it.

We just got a dog, and I used to like vacuuming once a week, but now that it needs to be done more often I don't enjoy it any more. Thanks

I think cleaning bathrooms suck!

My least favorite chore is laundry!! It seems everyone except me is involved in some sort of fashion show throughout the day... 3 changes of clothes in one day!?
:(

I would say dusting is my least favourite chore, especially any room where there's just a ton of stuff to move around on shelves etc, because it makes for a long tedious task. ;p

Okay, trying to straighten up when you have too much "stuff". Nowhere to put anything away. I know, I know, DOWNSIZE! LOL

I really really really hate washing dishes!

I absolutely hate folding laundry,,I can throw in washer, then the dryer,,but then it all stacks up in the laundry basket in front of the dryer,,and sits there cause I hate Folding Clothes..

I actually hate putting away the laundry. It sucks. I hate cleaning the bathroom too.

Definitely the bathrooms. Trying to tackle the shower to clean it properly without getting wet is a challenge in my bathroom. Soapscum sucks!

THE CHORE THAT SUCKS THE MOST-DISHES BY HAND!!!

Housecleaning alone just plain sucks. With three kids and a puppy running around the house crazy...you just can't win. When you thought the first chore was complete for the day, you turn around and it's back to where you started. Arghhh. Sometimes I wish I was Samantha from Bewitched. Wiggle your nose and nod to where you want things taken care of. Wouldn't that be a dream. Well...we all know that is not realistic, so winning a Dyson would be a start. Perhaps my children will be drawn to assist with cleaning without realizing it's a chore. Hmmm...let's ponder on that!

Taking out garbage definitely sucks especially if you bought cheap garbage bags by accident. Oh yeah cleaning out kitty litter that totally sucks tooo!!!!!

I hate moving furniture to clean behind. I have 3 kids and 2 dogs its disgusting what i find.

I am disabled and use a vacume cleaner to clean my floors and with 4 dogs and a husband I really one, please enter me in to the contest, thank you

Hands down it has to be laundry and folding socks.. its so time consuming and barely allows for time to relax...

I hate cleaning the floors because they have to be vacuumed, and then mopped. Very labourious and takes forever. A new vacuum would surely improve my attitude towards this chore!

No doubt about it it is cleaning the bathroom.... especially after 4 boys. Yuck. I also dont' like noisy vacuuming. Molly Maid Please rescue me

The chore that sucks the most for me is the cleaning the bathroom. I am the only female in a house full of men/boys & I seem to be the only one that ever notices the mess/filth! I am not sure whether they are just blind to it or are really smart and pretend they are. All I know is that I am the one that ALWAYS cleans it! :-(

cleaning the toilet. not sure who can really enjoy doing that.

chores that suck for me are doing the dishes and cleaning the toilet!

I detest vacuuming my home with 3 storeys,3 dogs,1 husband,2 boys and a girlfriend hanging around most of the time it really gets messy. My old vacuum is a central vac that was in the home when we bought it 19 years ago. Upon close inspection we discovered it was manufactured and installed in the early 1970's.
I can carefully and completely vacuum my door mats and then place them in the washer and end up with over a cup of mud in the bottom of my poor washer.
Even after repeat washings and rinsings there is still silt coming out in my dryer. Also there is a huge amount of red dog hair with a Nova Scotia Duck Toiler in the family.
I feel I can vacuum until I turn blue in the face and still not make a difference. I tell my husband in desperation I could do better on my hands and knees using a straw to suck up the dirt. Please Dyson rescue me from this never ending and badly accomplished task.

I am sick of doing dishes! I need a dishwasher...it's so monotonous! I'll be happy with a new vacuum cleaner though.

I don't like doing the floors. It always seems like as soon as they're done someone spills milk or drops something, myself included. Washing walls is alot of work too!

I hate washing windows. In my house each pane needs to be removed when washing windows.

Floors Floors Floors. Whether its foot marks or crumbs they can never seem to be kept clean. It's a never ending back breaking task that I hate doing!

Since I pretty much do most the cleaning around the house, I could go by what gets done the least....the walls! I have never washed the walls in this house yet (going on two years) and i doubt my husband has washed them the two years he's had the house before that! Then washing the floors would be next on the list.... I have asthma, and living with a huge farmers field out our backyard and two dogs, I hate vacuuming....as it affects my asthma and allergies! But not vacuuming often is even worse on my asthma and allergies. This vacuum would be a real treat!

i hate vacuuming, it is a non stop task at my house, with a toddler who is into everything and 2 furry cats my floors always look like they are never done.

The worst household chore for me would have to be cleaning the bathtub! Or the bathroom in general. So I get the kids to do it. Then there's changing the bedding in the loft beds, big pain in the butt!

The worst household chore is cleaning the toilet.

I hate cleaning the bathrooms so I leave that chore for my wife and I do all the vacuuming, dishes, laundry and cooking instead

This is a hard question!
I have a big family, and out of all our chores.. I must say vacuuming!
It's hard to vacuum several floors with our non electric push sweeper.
But I will admit.. my family never complains about the noise it makes!!

:)

The toilets and the surrounding area hands down! With three males, two of which are under the age of six, the toilets are disgusting. Cleaning up after the dogs is slightly more appealing - though just barely.

Great prize - thanks for the opportunity to win.

I have 4 pets and cleaning up the hair from the sofa and carpets it`s a none stop full time job. :(

The worst chore is vacuuming and especially now since my central vac has decided to stop working .. and I have had to use some old hand me down machine. I could really use a DYSON!! Please pick me : ))

The worst chore ever - cleaning up the household clutter. The problem lies in where to even start.

Cleaning the bathrooms suck!

Cleaning without a great vacuum really sucks. Hint! Hint!

Vacuuming pet hair off furniture with a crappy vacuum really sucks!

Stairs, stairs, and stairs!! i never do them well enough and they always seem to collect dust, dirt and everything else!

Everything that is gross lives in the bathroom and to clean it sucks!!

Vacuuming really sucks! Especially in the kids rooms!

I absolutely hate dusting!!! Vacuuming with my pathetic vaccuum doesnt help either :(

Cleaning all the stray pieces of kitty litter that the cats drag through the house SUCKS!

the job that sucks is getting hair that gets tangled into the blades and the vaccuum sounds like it is working but it is not and you have to go in there and get the hair out - both my daughter and I have long blonde hair that gets lost in dark and white carpets so when my kids vaccuum (yes I should be happy that they are vaccuuming) they neglect to see that the vaccuum has jammed and put it away. When I go to get it, I it does not work so fix-it mom has another job to do.

All house cleaning sucks but worst is vacuuming carpeted stairs.

Vintage seems to be in style...except when it comes to my vacuum cleaner. The hand-me-down clunker I received from my mother is heavy and no matter how often I change the filter it never seems to do the job right! Vacuuming would not feel like such a chore if I had a Dyson!

trying to remove stickers from hardwood floors and mirrors :s

All household chores suck!!! Especially this time of year. Much rather be outside.

getting on my hands and knees to get the dust off the baseboards and cleaning the base boards kinda suck !!!!!!!!!!!!! :))

Laundry... that's the chore I hate the most. To be specific, folding the clothes after washing. If only they could invent a dryer that would automatically fold your clothes when the cycle's done.

cleaning floors really sucks! I have a dog and it is a never ending battle to keep the floor clean. I keep my swiffer handy for everyday clean ups but it gets expensive! It might not be so bad cleaning up the floors with a Dyson - it sure is nice eye candy!

the chore i hate the most is cleaning the toilets and i have to do it every second day due to having 2 little ones.

I think mopping the floor really sucks. I have 3 little ones 3 and under, so it is something we constantly have to do.

chore that sucks is dusting and cleaning around toilet!!

The chore I really dislike doing is cleaning the floor in our apartment. It is next to impossible to clean. We have a small dog and live on the 12th floor. Every morning I sweep. Every two or three days I mop and it never seems to get clean. A vacuum would be awesome!

Cooking really sucks, that why I married a chef. I take things out of the freezer and he does everything else. P.S. that's not the only reason I married him but it sure is a nice thing to have.

Vacuuming - no problem. Cooking, washing the dishes - no problem. But I absolutely hate mopping the floors. Back breaking, leaning over, scrubbing our old wood floors.

Hand-kneeling to clean floor corners and baseboards!!

The chore that really sucks is cleaning the grout on the ceramic monthly. It is such a time consuming job because you have to seal it after. I spend hours on my hands and knees with an old tooth brush and finger brush cleaning the kitchen, bathrooms and hallway floors! I have a cheap vacuum that does not pick up all the dirt and this is why I have to clean my grout so often.

Because I have dark hardwood floors on my main floor, and a german shepard, a small dog, and two longhaired cats, not only do my floors require vacuuming from pet hair, etc. but they also requiring moping ever 2 days. Dark hardwood literally sucks! It may look elegant, however keeping them clean is a never ending nightmare in my books!

Vacuuming is generally the one that sucks! Washing the floor is a second placer along with taking out the garbage.

The chore that sucks the most is doing the dishes and cleaning the bathrooms!!

Dusting! As soon as you are done, you have to start again.

Having 3 cats & asthma you would think that vacuuming would be Priority One but I hate it so much that it usually only gets done once a week. I would gladly swap chores with anyone (except that grout lady with the toothbrush!)!

Tidying up sucks for me.

The chore that 'sucks' the most for me would be Ironing - not a fan!

Give me a hoover (vacuum) and a duster any day :-)

Taking out the garbage is number one and vacuuming is number two :(

I used to like cleaning. Sometimes just cleaning in general sucks but it needs be done. :) I find sometimes cleaning relaxing and listen to music loud makes it more fun. But i find that cleaning sometimes is not so fun when you have kids as you clean and than there is a mess again and it feels it is a never ending chore. But this Dyson would for sure help with some of that cleaning.

Thanks for the giveaway

Definitely the floors... and it seems just moments after they are cleaned, the two kids, dog, and hubby make it dirty again :S

We have 2 cats and one of them has issues with hairballs. So the chore I hate most is the cleaning that is involved with that, whether it be washing the floors or spot cleaning the carpet, it just seems like a never ending job.

I hate doing dishes and clean the blinds.

My most hated chore is cleaning the bathroom. It takes the longest and is the most work.

Vacuuming is a pain - literally! We have a built-in and lugging that hose around behind me and around furniture is hard work. Hurt my back when I fell last December so when i say vacuuming is a "drag", I mean it. A lighter more agile vacuum cleaner would be the answer!

We have a lovely lab who really sheds a lot. I would love to be able to vacuum up all of that fur without any trouble at all!

For me, it's laundry because I have to take it to the laundromat (or a friend's house). Vacuuming isn't a thrill either because I have 3 cats - the fur is never-ending, on the floors, furniture, and my clothes. As much as I love them, I often wish they would either stop shedding, or learn to clean up after themselves.

The worst thing for me is cleaning the dishes in the sink. It just freaks me out if I get cold sauce or other slimey or greasy food on my hands and it makes me really nauseous.... Silly I know, since I dig in the dirt in my yard but I can't help it it just disgusts me big time

Vacuuming is the number one 'sucky' job in our house. We're stuck with a vacuum my father-in-law bought us when we moved into our first apartment. Not only does it sound like a jet engine, it weighs about the same. Thankfully, I got out of the chore while I was pregnant. But now that baby is here, I have no excuse, except that I don't want to.

The job around my house that sucks the most is Cleaning the floor, weather it be vaccuming or washing the floor... **BLAH** I DISLIKE CLEANING FLOORS! :)

I hate washing the floors so hubby does it!

Housework in general sucks, but cleaning toilets is just nasty!

I hate all chores, but I think doing the floors is the worst - there is so many dust bunnies everywhere, especially on hardwood floors!

Vacuuming is really a heavy chore around here. I can't remember how old the vacuum is but the hoses come apart too easily and the plug for the power head keeps coming out. I try to enlist someone else to take on this chore but maybe I just need a new vacuum!

The one chore I absolutely can not stand is cleaning the washroom. We just moved into our new apartment and the old tenant enjoyed a thick mystery layer of dirt on both the tub and the toilet bowl. It took us 3 days to get everything back to white! haha

I hate laundry and washing dishes by hand.......Lucky for me my husband loves to do both of those ;)

I hate vacuuming the couch. I have to vacuum the crumbs and the cat hair almost everyday!

Dusting has to be the one chore that sucks! I own chinchillas as well as run a chin rescue. The dust the chins bathe in adds to the dust issue! Would love to see if the Dyson could help with that!

i cant STAND mopping the floors. the swiffer just doesnt do it well enough for me and i hate having to drag out the mop and bucket and fight to keep the dog off the clean floor until it dries. just thinking about it gives me the shutters

All chores suck! The one that sucks the most is laundry, so much laundry to sort, wash, dry and then fold

I think mopping the floor sucks!!

I absolutely hate folding laundry! I have no problem loading it into the washing machine, and switching it to the dryer, but after it's done I just hate folding it and putting it away! But if you don't then it goes all wrinkly!

the chore that I truly hate is cleaning the fridge and finding all those rotting little surprises. I swear, one time I think i saw the meatloaf move on me.

Washing dishes by hand would be tops, but now that I have a dishwasher, vacuming would be it, as it is a whole house job.

I have to pick just one that sucks? How about 2? ;-) Ok, just one. Mopping the floors is probably the top of the list of chores that I despise. I could do it every single day and you wouldn't be able to tell. They'd be dirty again within minutes of being mopped.

I dread cleaning the shower and tub. It is back breaking for me.

I just hate dusting, always have and always will. Seems like an endless chore, you just fiinish and dust starts to settle again. I've tried lots of different products and methods but same results.

Honestly most chores I detest. Vacuuming, washing floors & cleaning the bathroom. I'm always looking for a tool to make the chores easier. :).

mowing the gigantic lawn sucks

Is there a chore that does'nt suck?? I find cleaning the bath tub is pretty dire! Have to get myself into all kinds of crazy positions to reach every spot... so awkward!

I love the fresh feeling after cleaning my apartment and how you feel renewed. But the worst job for me is cleaning the washroom. Yucky... It takes so long and a great deal of scrubbing and sanitizing as you get rid of the dirt and grime.

But I love vacuuming anytime as it gives me instant satisfaction without the strain.

Good Luck to everyone here!! And whoever wins, hope you share with us how you like the vacuum. =0)

i hate doing dishes the most, its like it never ends!

The cleaning household chore that really sucks is scrubbing toilet and bathtub! Hate it!

Cleaning the cat litter 1-2 times a day! Ugh... so tedious!

my worst one is the tub, shower curtain or it worst two I guess

Dusting sucks - it's just so pointless!

Vacuuming is the worst chore of all.

The household chore that I think absolutely SUCKS is cleaning the kitchen, that includes washing the dishes. I absolutely LOVE Dyson. Thanks very much for the chance to win such an amazing prize.

I hate cleaning period but probably the worst chore of all is dusting. No matter how hard I try to clear the dust away, five minutes later it seems to reappear. So frustrating!

The household chore that I think sucks is vaccuming the stairs! This has to be the most difficult chore - sweat pouring down all over me so that I can't see what I am doing.

The one household chore I think just "sucks", over all the others is vacuuming the stairs. I live in a 3 story townhouse & it's the worst thing to have to lug the machine up & down, plugging it in on every floor. When my mom said, "this house will be the death of me", she wasn't far from the truth. Next house is gonna be a bungalow! ;)

The household chore that I think just "sucks" is vacuuming. It does not interest me at all. At least when I clean the bathroom or kitchen, I can see results and feel like I have accomplished something.

Vacuuming and sweeping floors. I have a skin condition and vacuuming and sweeping are a constant, sometimes twice or 3 times daily activity. Sigh - would love a vacuum that help with this chore.

I agree - anything to do with floors - vacuuming and washing sucks!

I really dislike housework in general - it is never ending. You spend your time cleaning one day and the next day you have to start all over again.

The one household chore that sucks for me is washing dishes by hand..but thankfully I do have a dishwasher now. :)

Dyson is really fantastic to give one member this wonderful prize. It would be totally awesome to be selected as a winner of this amazing product..

Washing floors and cleaning the bathroom sucks. After I've cleaned the house it looks so good until someone comes home...then it looks like I haven't cleaned in a month.

Laundry sucks - I can get it washed and dried np - but somehow getting it folded and put away is impossible in our house - then, once it's finally folded and everyone is given their own pile to put away - you find the folded item back in the laundry because it was never put away properly...

Dishes - I HATE doing the dishes! My kitchen is so small, and I don't have a dishwasher so it doesn't take much for the counter to get cluttered with dirty dishes. I hate standing over a sink filled with hot water! It truly SUCKS!

I thinking dusting SUCKS! no matter how many times I take everything off the shelves and counters, I feel like the dust just lands back there once everything has been put back in its respective spot. This could also be due to the poor quality Vacuum we have. After reading your post, i see how badly i want to buy a dyson!...but i think i'll wait and see if I win it first! :)

I own an older model of Dyson now and I actually LIKE vacuuming. It's amazing to see all the stuff I can pull up. Emptying the Dyson bucket is a satisfying experience! LOL

cleaning out cupboards is a horrible time consuming job, how does all that junk accumulate?

the chore that absolutely sucks the most for me is cleaning the toilet. Right up there too is scrubbing the shower, both on my hate it list.

I hate cleaning the washrooms and floors especially! I hate mopping!!!

With all my allergies and pets I would have to say the household chore that sucks the most is… ALL of them. They all stir up more dust and dog hair than my crappy vacuum can suck up. I really need that DYSON vac. I borrowed my sister-in-laws once and WOW!!!! All I have to say is AWESOME.

I live with 4 males - bathrooms really suck for me

Cleaning the bathroom is the hardest for me

Ditto for the bathrooms....3 boys=youcky mess!!!

definitely hate cleaning the bathrooms.
3 boys + bad aim = icky chore!

Our vacuum joined our family in 1987 and is ready to retire. I don't mind vacuuming but my current model doesn't make the job easy. If I had to choose, I would rather vacuum than wash floors.

Cleaning sucks...period. Haha. And I'd have to say baking bread & buns is a close second. The end result is worth it for both, but getting there is not all it's cracked up to be. ;)

the worst chore is vaccuuming the stairs.... oh my aching back!!!

the worst is trying to get all my dog's hair

Vacuuming under the beds is a huge chore!

I just really hate cleaning. I hate dusting, washing the floors, the bathroom, ... everything.

Cleaning toilets really suck. I wish there was a Dyson to do this job.

For me, dishwashing "sucks". I wish we had a dishwasher but a Dyson vacuum would be fantastic too :-)

I hate the vacuum I have after I use it the carpet and floors still look dirty even though I'd gone over it :( so frustrating! It clogs all the time with hair and cat fur, I have to take all the parts apart to clean them and that's another chore in itself :(

Vacuuming the stairs are the worst for me

How appropriate - the chore that "sucks" the most for me is vacuuming! I hate the noise and doing stairs.

Although I'm what some may call crazy and actually LOVE cleaning my house, I would have to say the chore that "sucks" the most would be the stairs! The vacuum I have now is just way too large and awkward to maneuver so it takes me three times as long as it should!! My sister-in-law has a Dyson and having house sat for her many times, I can tell you I used it every day!!! Luckily she has a large dog that sheds so I didn't look crazy using it for no reason! ;)

Vacuuming just plain SUCKS in as a BAD chore for me. Specially with the poor "sucking" machine like mine that I have to go over and over spots on the carpet till I think it way too much workout for my elbow. Doing stairs with it is another workout I dread. It would be just super wonderful to win a Dyson vacuum cleaner!

I hate it when my house isnt clean, but with 4 kids and 1 husband..lol..its hard to do!!

And I know that you asked for only 1 that I don't like, but I can't think of just one....so heres my list of chores I don't like:

(1) DUSTING blows big time because theres so much of it to do in the house

(2) LAUNDRY is one chore thats never done it seems as soon as I get it done, it starts all over again...lol...The one thing I really hate about laundry is folding it, that can take days for me to do!!

(3) VACUUMING is another one Im not big on as I get it done and then theres crumbs on the floors again, and its usually the husband...lol...NOT the kids...And our vacuum has been broken for 2-3 months now so I have to use my husbands Shop Vac which I hate using because its filthy on the outside from being used in the garage

Bathrooms are the worst, no question.

Emptying out the cat litter box, definitely a chore that "sucks", and stinks.

cleaning on a nice warm day sucks especially doing the bathroom

It really sucks having to vacuum with my old, heavy vacuum that never picks up properly. The worst is trying to vacuum the stairs and lugging it up two flights to get to the next level. A good workout but the carpet doesn't even get clean.
:(

washing the floors sucks. Going up and down the stairs carrying a bucket isn't fun.

Cleaning out the car sucks. I could certainly use a better vacuum to do it with. :)

Definitely vacuuming sucks because it's so
hard right now with out little one just learning
to crawl she is all over the place so we have
to make sure Ita clean before she goes on
her adventure!!

I hate vacuuming the landing...because I always have to move a bunch of shoes first!

Cleaning toilets has to be the worst. The rest of the cleaning jobs at least shows when you are done.

I actually prefer bathrooms over doing the dishes! My dishwasher is broken now so its a pain!

Cleaning out the fridge sucks. Wish I could just vacuum up the past-due and nearly-empty jars and tubs!

I think that dusting, sucks. no matter how carefully you do the job, the dust keeps coming back.

I think cooking really sucks. I just get so tired of meal planning, grocery shopping, cooking and having to clean up the kitchen after every meal.

Cleaning the toilet, cleaning around the toilet........anywhere near the toilet - that's my most dreaded chore!

It really sucks to vacuum with a useless vacuum...no sucking power!

cleaning the fish tank sucks....my daughter talked me into these smelly little fish and now I have to clean and feed them!

Washing floors! With 3 boys there is always something being spilled, dropped, smashed, or squished! (sometimes between my toes *gag*)

washing dishes. Cutlery sucks!! I' much rather do a toilet!!

The chore that sucks is unloading the dishwasher, and another is unpacking groceries! Those two things I would give up before cleaning toilets!

The chore that sucks is folding and putting away laundry.

I hate cleaning the washroom especially when we have guests over.

Definitely vacuuming and cleaning the washrooms.

The chore i say is most time consuming and at the bottom of my list but i make sure i do it because if i don't i don't feel my cleaning is complete, is washing and vaccuming all the floors, stairs and furniture!

The worst for me is doing the laundry , with six people in the family, specially with young children it seems like it never ends and then to fold it and bring it up from the basement two stories up is just too much sometimes. And if there are more then three loads then it becomes like a whole day chore :(

I do not like any chores, they all suck, lol! Dishes are the worst though. We have to do them by hand and we don't have much counter or cupboard space so I'm constantly overwhelmed by them.

Dishes are the worst for me.

The worst possible household chore would definitely be doing dishes. I avoid them as much as possible and in doing so have become the worlds neatest stacker of dirty dishes, which when draped with a pretty teatowel can definitely wait till at least the next day lol.

I think the chore that sucks the most for me has got to be vacuuming, my daughter has really bad asthma so we have to keep the carpets really clean, some days I swear I vacuum 3 times a day. A Dyson vacuum would go a long way to reducing the time I spend with the vacuum cleaner!!

The chore that I think sucks is cleaning the bathroom.

I hate cleaning the bathroom, vacuuming, cleaning all the fixtures, and finally the floors. It's downright depressing some days.

The one household chore that I think "sucks" is definitely washing the floors. It is not the actual task that I mind, it is the fact that despite sweeping and using a product to pick up dog hair, once I start washing, there seems to be dog hair every where. If I were so lucky as to win a Dyson, I would no longer have this problem as I would run that Dyson over the flooring prior to washing and nary a hair would be left behind :)

I really hate washing baseboards and doing ceilings/walls. Tires me out!

dusting cause every time I do it I don't stop sneezing for days

I'm not a fan of floor cleaning: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, etc. Ugh!

Tubs and showers, by far. Hate doing those.

Cleaning the bathroom. There are far too many places that need to be scrubbed, and often. Booooo to cleaning bathrooms!!!

The one chore that sucks the most is cleaning the dark wood floors for my mom because our white fluffy Persian cat sheds a bucket load of hair on to it everyday!

VACUUMING sucks! We have a really old vacuum and I vacuum 4 times a week (we have a 17 month old who likes to throw his food & 3 cats!) so a BRAND NEW DYSON vacuum would be amazing!!!!!!

Cleaning any mess the kids left behind - food all over the kitchen, dirty socks on the livingroom floor, pee on the toilet seat. Yuck.!

Vacuuming is definitely my least favorite chore because I have a dreadful vacuum. When I empty the vacuum the dust flies everywhere and I have to dust after I vacuum! A Dyson vacuum cleaner is on my wish list!

I hate vacuuming the stairs

Being a relatively new mommy who is in the throes of potty training, I have to say that a toddler who is prone to diaper-free streaking through the house after leaping from his potty fills me with dread. The prospect of cleaning any accidents that might happen is my least favourite chore!

hate washing the floors

For me, vacuuming sucks! I bash into walls and it doesn't clean properly after all that sweating. Would love to try out your Dyson!

I hate washing floors if only because all vacuum cleaners I've used suck, that is, they don't suck enough dirt up off the floor. so I get dusty stuff in the wet mop, which I dislike cleaning any more than I have to. If my vacuum cleaner sucked more, floor care would suck less.

The chore that "sucks" for me is cleaning dark hardwood floors and mopping the kitchen floor.

Washing Floors and Dusting are awful!!! They definitely suck!

I hate cleaning the bathrooms and folding laundry.

Cleaning the toilet hands down!

the dog hair never ends around here

Cleaning toilets and bathtubs are the jobs I avoid until I can no longer.

i really hate cleaning the bathrooms...we have 2...lol

Vacuuming and cleaning the floors is the worst!

Floors! Vacuuming and scrubbing are the things I really hate, bathrooms don't bother me.

Dusting and sweeping our hard wood floors really sucks.

I hate cleaning out my oven and fridge.

I am in complete agreement with the woman above. Washing floors and doing laundry are my least favourite things. They really suck!!

I know saying all of it is too easy but it's true. I SUCK BADLY at cleaning, not because I'm not good at it, I am but I hate doing it all and then having 4 kids and a husband mess it up shortly thereafter. Most of the duties I get my kids to do... I had 4 for a reason! But if I had to narrow it down to the worst of the worst... I'd say cleaning baseboards & window ledges.

I think that washing dishes sucks.

Definitely anything bathroom related! Toilets are the worst!

We have two cats who I was seriously in love with until my son was born last July. Now, not so much. Their hair drives me BONKERS! I guess I notice it more now that I'm on the floor all the time with the baby. Within minutes of vacuuming there are fur tumbleweeds rolling around here. ARRRRGGGHHH!

cleaning toilets sucks!!!

If cleaning up after a husband and 2 children wasn't enough....I now have a stray cat that my husband brought into the house that has since had 5 kittens. Luckily we found homes for 3, but that means I still have 3 furry creatures to vacuum up after!

Cat Litter Clean-Up - It`s never just in the box after they fling out the litter over the sides. Not to mention the smell if you do not get it right away. If only kitties did their own chores. But since they do not - that SUCKS (a nod to your vacuum humour)!!

I have never had a dishwasher in my whole life. We are a family of 6 and it "sucks" doing dishes 4 times a day by hand. It never ends.

I just hate cleaning the toiletj - it's awkard and just yucky

I absolutely hate washing dishes by hand! Yuck! I don;t mind vacumming but mine just gave out and I have been stuck using a shop vac could really use this dyson.

I HATE cleaning, and hate dusting the most! As soon as I dust, it seems, the dust is back! You can't see it, and you can't fight it. It just appears to drive me nuts.

I really hate doing laundry, I always forgot to put the clothes back over to the dryer

Of the regular chores - putting away the laundry. I hate it!!It seems so simple but it drives me crazy. Of the big tasks, windows are definitely the suckiest

I hate cleaning the bathroom, but really enjoy to vaccuum cleam and will really enjoy it more with the Dyson vaccum cleaner :)

Honestly I have had a problem with DUSTING my whole life. I hate doing it. I used to not be able to play with my friends because I wouldn't finish the housework, dusting. UGH! I still hate it and well everything else will get done and maybe the dusting ....not. However I do love it when I do do it. :)

Do I have to pick just one? haha!

I think vacuuming the stairs would be the worst chore for me. Our family vacuum cleaner is from the stone age, and weights more than I do! It's bulky, and it's a pain to try to lug up and down the stairs.

We have carpeting on both our stairs going up to the bedroom levels, and also down to the basement - so it's a complete double whammy!

Help!?

Dusting is the worst. As soon as I clean one part of the room & move onto the next, the parts I just cleaned collect dust all over again. So frustrating!

The household chore that I think just "sucks" is washing floors! Move everything out of the way, sweep the floor, wash the floor, wait for it to dry and then move everything back. And . . . although it looks much better when you're done, you never know how clean it really is or if you've just moved the dirt around! Yuck!

I think cleaning is the most thankless job in the world. You can spend the whole day cleaning, sit down after dinner, and actually see the new pieces of lint, cat litter, spots of something dripped onto the carpet; smudges on the glass coffee table, hand prints on the front door.....need I go on. A clean house only lasts a few precious moments. Vacumming is hard for me, since
I've a three storey townhouse, and I've to do those umpteen stairs. This
powderful Dyson, would mean the world to me. Could use it for my curtains as well with the hand held attachments.

I hate putting away laundry. I dislike folding it, but putting it away is probably my least favourite chore.

Vacuuming! We have laminate flooring and I swear the dust bunnies are breeding under our couches! Then they travel down the hallway! I find I am cleaning every two days to keep them in check. It wouldn't be so bad but our vacuum is big, bulky and heavy! We have looked at Dyson vacuums and dreamed about owning one but they are just a little out of our price league so thank you for this chance to win one! Here's to the dream (of easier vacuuming)! :)

Laundry, there is absolutely no end to the piles of dirty clothes and wet towels. A close second would be the floors, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, ...dustballs, sticky spots, footprints, crumbs everywhere. OOPs this is turning into a rant.

I hate cleaning the toilets.

I really think that cleaning the toilet "sucks". Why can't the males in my household have better aim?

I would have to say dusting.. Everyone else in the house points their fingers at it to show me. Then I ask them if they see it and it bothers them to clean it themselves. That really gets me worked up.

The chore I dislike the most is dusting. I wish they would come up with an attachment for the vacuum to suck up the dust. No matter how you wipe it it just fly's away and it seems to take forever to dust one area. I don't mind all the other chores it makes me feel good to have a clean home even if only for a day with 5 boys and then a new day starts over.

Washing and drying dishes. I'll do lots of things and make many deals to get out of the dinner dishes!

I cannot stand dusting! I suspect if I won this vacuum, I wouldn't have to dust as much! Thank you for hosting this giveaway.

Cleaning the bathroom although I have to think of it as a great workout since I use allot of elbow grease :)

Cleaning the toilet bowl

I have an epic fail when it comes to putting laundry away. I complete the first half of washing and drying but the folding and putting away SUCKS even in a house of 4!!

I absolutely hate doing my floors. I have 3/4 of my main floor is hardwood the rest is carpet. So I have to go from a swifer to a mop to a vacuum. Its absolutely a pain in the butt. Then I have to drag the vacuum down the steep stairs (hoping that I don't fall because I have a 2 year old following me) and finish up cleaning down there. Then I have to haul the heavy vacuum back up the stairs. I waist more time hauling that clunker around then I do cleaning

I would say using the vacuum. Ours blows more than sucks and smoke came out of it a couple of weeks ago. With a busy toddler and a 9 yr old the crumbs never seem to stop dropping :0. Fingers crossed to win an awesome Dyson so the dreaded chore can bacome the one that everyone is fighting to do. Kids fighting over who gets to do the vacuuming? Could it be? With the right tools ,I think so!

Bathrooms! I HATE doing bathrooms. With son and his buddies hanging at our house on a regular basis - the bathrooms are the worst and the most often done chore in our house (besides the dishes - lol).

I hate laundry...it just never ends.

I dislike cleaning the oven - that sucks!

My Household chore pet peeve is cleaning the carpet in my basement!I have 3 cats, 2 kids and partridge in a pear tree (My Husband) ;) The cats leave there hair all over the place, and so I have to vaccum 3 times a day, and to top it off, our vacuum is from ,literally the early 1990's LOL.

I hate, hate, hate dusting! And dusting/cleaning the bathroom is the worse. Vacuuming is a close second.

I would have to say DISHES!!!!! I have never liked doing them which is funny considering we have a dish washer! I still don't like putting them in there.

I really don't mind cleaning the bathroom sink but I absolutely hate cleaning the shower stall and the toilets! The shower stall is so small that I actually feel the only way I can clean it is by being inside it and I really do wish that everyone would take the time to clean up after themselves after using the toilet rather than me having to. It is so gross!

Dishes suck...just when they're finished there always seems to be more!

We have recently moved, to a house with all wood flooring. Nice...yes, but the dust balls that collect everywhere make it look like I never, ever vacuum. Nothing can be farther from the truth, that vacuum runs daily...........with 9 kids it kind of has too!!!

I would have to say that washing my floors is the big sucky chore for me.

Ah the selection of just one "sucky" household chore, the inhumanity of it all!!! I live in a small home with four people, two dogs and one cat. Needless to say, it always requires cleaning so I would have to say that the least desirable job would have to go to FLOORS. Whether that involves vacuuming a carpet that gets covered in dog and cat hair daily or vacuuming and washing the vinyl floor for the 17th time that day after the dogs come running in from the muddy gardens out back or the kids" forget, once again, that their shoes drag stuff in from the outdoors, the floors are all consuming. Not only that but the floors are the first thing someone sees when they visit and can't be disguised as something that they are not......CLEAN!

You know cleaning the bathroom sucks, especially if you have little boys..I had 2 and that was my least favorite chore.

Cleaning the toilet!! I live with two males and for some reason neither of them can aim their streams where they should.
But after that the floors my son is always in and out and he constantly tracks in dirt and the cat leaves lots of hair in the couch and carpets :S

Floors are always our last chore...with an infant, many things need to be picked up first...rattles, bouncy chairs, exersaucer. Then sweep or swifer and with hard wood you have many different levels from each room, so you have to pick up the dirt before you go from one room to another. We work together, I swiffer, he comes behind with the broom and picks up the piles I leave behind :)

It sucks to clean the toilets

I hate having to do the dusting for some reason. I think it is because I just plain forget until someone (hubby) happens to joyfully point it out!

Honestly?? I HATE to vacuum, but that's probably because my vacuum is about 40 years old (I inherited it from my parents) and it sucks.... but NOT literally, which is the problem! And the worst place to vacuum? The stairs. Sadly, that's the only place in my house that has carpet and needs to be vacuumed at least 1-2 times a week, depending on the time of year.

Picking up after others! You know... socks, homework, newspapers..... they're everywhere except where they should be!

I think cleaning in general sucks. We just moved to a new house and have been debating to get Central vac or the Dyson and after doing research I am going with the Dyson. The cost is comparable to a middle of the road central vac system but the Dyson 5 year warranty and suction power won me over. Plus we have 2 girls with long hair and a dog. The DC43 is a great model for pet hair. Thanks for having this contest!

Believe it or not I love vacuuming. But the chore that "SUCKS" most to me is dusting. I hate having to remove everything to dust surfaces. Hey maybe I can use my new Dyson to pick up dust!!!!

I dont like scrubbing the tub and shower, for some reason i dont mind cleaning the rest of the bathroom but i dread the shower arghh

Laundry & mopping! YUCK!!! I actually love to vacuum, it's rewarding sucking all those dust bunnies up!!! @inRdream

I hate vacuuming, and have hated it ever since I learned to vacuum as a kid many years ago.

Keetcha makes an interesting point that the Dyson is comparably priced to a central-vac system. Our home is roughed in for central vac, but it seems to expensive to put in.

cleaning the toilet.

To be honest, they all suck. And although cleaning the toilets is by far my least favourite (its disgusting in there!), vacuming our sofa every day is a real bummer. We have an old, arthritic Bernese Mountain dog (OMG -- the hair!!!), who can only sleep on our sofa now, and the hair she leaves behind could cover another dog!

The chore that sucks the most for me is cleaning the bathrooms. I don't mind vacuuming so would love to have a new vacuum.

For some reason, I really dislike cleaning windows. There is glass on the inside, outside, and in-between. Just the thought of this time consuming task is enough to make me squirm...

Vacuuming SUCKS on a whole different level for me. We were getting ready to go camping and I hate coming home to a dirty house. Grabbed the vacuum which unbeknownst to me, the cord was wrapped around a 5ft tall candelabra. It came down behind me and sliced my calf open. 4 hours in emerg and 20 stitches later, my camping trip and previous love of vacuuming were ruined. I still get queasy when I walk in the room where it happened :( I would love to win the Dyson, for my husband who has graciously taken over the task, or to warm me back into it with the best of the best

I've gotta say, with 4 kids....I HATE laundry!!! All the other chores I can get the kids to help with, like vacuuming - wink, wink!
But those piles of laundry are my nemesis!!

I don't have a dishwasher, so doing the dishes really SUCKS! Vaciiming is fun, and owning a Dyson would make it that much more enjoyable.

dishes!!! we don't have a dishwasher!!!

I think the bathroom is the worse..Id love to win the vacumn because mine isnt removing all the dust!

Vacuuming is a never ending task. I will be first in line to pass this aging task on to the next generation.

I hate the bathrooms!

folding laundry, the baskets sit in my living room for days. shamefully, my mother sometimes folds it for me when she visits.

I absolutely hate hand washing dishes! Everything else I can take but I hate washing dishes. The never ending floor cleaning in the dinning room is a bit of a pain but I enjoy that more then dishes haha!

I hate cleaning the bathroom...I have two of them. :(

Dusting! I hate it. We have 3 cats and it seems never ending due to the dander and hair.

Vacuuming at our house sucks! With two cats, a golden retriever and a dusty walkway leading to the house, there is never a shortage of material to suck up!

We have a built in vacuum system, which I absolutely hate...dragging that heavy hose all around the house. My parents have a Dyson, and it's fantastic.

cleaning toilets is the nastiest job.

Doing the dishes! Especially after you've been lazy and left them for a few hours and all the food is caked on.

Oh I Think The Worst House Hold Chore That Sucks Soooooooooo Much is Having A Vacuum Cleaner that Doesn,t Suck at All...Can You See Yourself Constantly Looking And Digging Through The Hose To See Where There Is A Dirt Ball Thats Clogging Up The Vacumm Hose And Having No Suction at all..I Hate It , I Hate It , I Hate It..

It would have to be getting the floors clean. The dust bunnies are CRAZY. You can never keep up with the dust!

I hate scrubbing out fridge and stove/oven. Yucky job but someone has to do it!

I'd have to say I hate cleaning the bathroom the most. Moving all the stuff off the bathroom countertop to clean it is a pain and despite buying a million difference cleansers and scrub brushes, I can never get the bathtub and tile to shine like I want it to. Maybe I don't have enough muscle to do the trick? In the house I'm in now I also hate that I can't get the hardwood floors to shine. The Bee mop I have does a lousy job and the Swiffer WetJet is worse. Considering trying one of the steam mops out there. I like vacuuming actually but my vacuum is ancient and doesn't seem to pick up the dog hair well anymore. :( My friend bought a Dyson and LOVES it LOVES it LOVES it. He wasn't much of a housecleaner either but was totally enthused once he got a Dyson. He has a dog too and says it does an amazing job. Expensive but worth it I guess.

Cleaning the bathtub is pretty high on my list, but keeping up with the laundry is my number 1 least favorite job!

Cleaning toilets are the WORST!...yukkk...just think about it! Especially when you have a house full of boys!

Well, I would have to say VACUUMING is the chore that sucks, in my house a lot!!! We have two very large dogs that shed constantly, I am always vacuuming. I only have a really cheap vacuum, would love to win this because I could never afford one that's for sure. My dogs are only allowed on the hardwood, getting their hair out of the carpeting is a really huge chore for me. They don't even go on the carpet and it's full of hair because not only do I have two dogs dropping their hair everywhere, my husband and four very busy children are always grinding it into the carpeting with there HEAVY foot steps. At first I was sweeping the hardwood numerous times a day but then I realized it was missing so much, so I got the great idea to vacuum :( I'd say that with my vacuuming one sometimes 3 times a day (because my vacuum misses so much, or my dogs shed too much :s) I spend so much time vacuuming that I really don't like it. I will clean my messy bathrooms without issues, or the loads and loads of laundry without complaint but the vacuuming is something I could live without doing three times a day!

Dishes, dishes dishes. That was before I had a dishwasher! Washing dishes by hand is the most time consuming and tedious chore there is. And it never ends!!

I am in the same boat as Bonnie. Having a vacumm that does not suck very well
S U C K S! Also, laundry sucks for me as well because my children wears their pjs and all clothes and towels just once and throws them in their laundry basket to get laundered....exhausting for sure.

Cleaning the bathroom rates high on my "it sucks" list!

My least favorite job is taking down , washing, ironing and rehanging all the curtains.

There are many jobs around the house which I do not enjoy doing. Top of the list, dog hair removal.... We have a dog that sheds like all get out. My friend has a Dyson machine which I borrowed twice and have wanted one since. No other cleaner removes the dog hair like this.

I hate having to clean up after a party... it's lonely enough in the house when all the guests go home and the kids go to bed. The post-soiree clean up makes it that much more depressing

SOMEONE in our house has to do what we call "mouse patrol" before anyone goes in the backyard. I have my own shovel I use for this purpose. This job totally sucks! Who likes flinging dead animals into the bushes? Not me :(

I'm not fond of any housework, but I tend to put off washing floors most of all.

I hate mopping floors. I have yet to find a bucket large enough for rinsing the mop that I feel removes enough dirt so I can keep mopping without changing the water twice a room.

All the mop buckets are too dam shallow or small to swish off the dirt. UGH.

Cleaning the blinds sucks. Dusting them is bad enough but a full wash is horrible. They crumple, move around and it takes a very long time to complete the job.

I hate washing up the floors, that sucks! First you need to vacuum extremely well and then start the scrubbing. I want self cleaning floors!

I love to vacuum, so vacuum everything I can - to avoid dusting - which I hate

for me it is a toss up between dishes and laundry! both are never ending so you never feel completely done...UGH!!!

It's a toss-up for me between cleaning the bathrooms (I have three boys and a hubby who have issues aiming!) and dishes, but I'll choose dishes as the worst because they have to be done multiple times per day! At least I only have to clean the bathroom once or twice a week :)

What sucks about cleaning and having to vacuum...I have a 4 yr old daughter and a 2.5 yr old dog and I am the single parent to both!!!! I sweep my floors every day from what they both drag in and then beg my 5 yr old vacuum to please work this one more day!!!! My seasons are spent cleaning salt in the winter, sand in the summer and all the extra crap the rest of the year!

All chores suck, but I especially hate doing the floors and washing dishes!

Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and All cleaning stuff chores SUCKS!

I actually find vacuuming satisfying... but we really need a better vacuum:) I absolutely hate cleaning the bathroom, especially the tub!

I have 3 little ones and have many household chores that suck..I also have 2 little kittens and I think the worst chore is cleaning out the Kitty Litter Box...First of all you face the Smell. Then you Have the job of cleaning out the litter box while digging through the feces with a little hand kitty sifter..But now the decision to make after you remove the clumps and place in a garbage bag..Do you use a vacumm that doesnt suck up the kitty litter left on the floor, or do you sweep it up leaving pieces of litter hanging on your broom feathers or whatever they are called and having these little pieces drop all over the floors that you have to sweep later on..ugghhhhh

Summer

I actually like to clean, but if I had to pick 1 chore then I would say having to clean already clean floors because someone forgot to wipe the dogs muddy paws!!!

bathrooms. every part of it. The picking up and putting away. The wiping, cleaning, srubbing, sweeping, washing. All of it. Bathrooms suck.

I do really hate the bathroom chores.....who doesn't!, but the vaccuuming is a high second on all time despised tasks. We have a crappy, heavy vaccuum that I can usually sucker my hubby into running over our disgusting carpets once in awhile! Thanks for the great giveaway!

The one that sucks is mopping! I hate having to deal with heavy buckets with water, etc. You could use a Swiffer wet mop, but it doesn't do a good a job and plan old soap, water and elbow grease.

Trying to keep the area rug and hardwood floors clean all the time is a big chore. As soon as I'm done cleaning I can see dust and hair on the floor. Having a dog that loses hair doen't help. The dyson's strong suction will remove dirt deep down in the carpet so I won't have to vacuum every single day. I can't wait to own one.

Definitely cleaning my ancient bath tub of oil, grime and lime... Talk about elbow grease!

I just hate ironing. I put more wrinkles in than I take out and I find it super tedious. As a result I try to pull things out of the dryer before they are wrinkled and I buy non-iron things but still we are not a family that looks very well turned out since I really don't want to iron. Ironing really really sucks.

The hardwood floors and vacuuming!!!

The household chore that really sucks for me is laundry!! My husband often helps me out with it, as we have 3 little ones under 6 years old! But I always feel that I'm drowning in it!

I don't mind most household chores - I really just zone out, especially washing dishes, LOL! But I do hate two things - cleaning mini blinds, and cleaning my shower!

Right now I would have to say it is the vacuuming . With the arrival of our dog last summer the need to suck the junk out of the carpet is more frequent. Our adorable lab collie cross sheds... A new machine especially the well advertised Dyson might just convince the teenagers that doing a chore can be fun!.. I remain hopelessly optimistic.

Cleaning the fridge and stove is at the top of my list of chores that truly 'suck'.

Dishes! Anything to do with dishes. Dishwasher or not, this is my least favorite household chore. bring on the laundry and floor cleaning and window washing, but please can I hire someone to do the dishes!

Bathrooms!! I hate cleaning bathrooms... because the second it's clean, someone is dirtying them up again (I guess having 2 little boys really contributes to that!). It's a never ending battle.

I think cleaning the oven is the worst backbreaking, smelly, dirty job that there is!!!

I think cleaning the oven is the worst backbreaking, smelly, dirty job that there is!!!

Vacuuming the carpet on my stairs sucks! (Washing coffee stains from a mug is a close 2nd!)

I dislike, okay, hate cleaning the toilets. Even though it's me and my family's filth, it still turns my stomach!

I hate cleaning the bathrooms; especially around the toilets

washing my hardwood floors and vacuuming up the dogs fur. I really need this vacuum to help with the dogs LOL

I absolutely despise ironing. Vaccuuming right now is a pain in the back (lugging the heavy ol' monster around) but ironing? Shudder. When will I learn and purchase only wrinkle free clothes?

I hate dusting! It takes so much time and then you have to vacuum.

all chores are major sucks, but I hate bending and picking up all the way. Kids drop pieces of anything and they are capable of walking over it as if they dont exist, all I can see is things on the floor.

There is nothing worse than having to clean out the tracks of my windows. No matter how hard I try I can not get them as clean as I would like. If it wasn't so messy I would be tempted to bring the pressure washer inside and blast that grime away!!!

Oh, I love that vacuum humour. hee hee lol
I hate vacuuming the stairs. For me, it is a balancing act.

Not a fan of cleaning the shower. We have really hard water where I live and it makes this awful crusty white stain that is next to impossible to scrub off unless you use something like CLR and a lot of elbow grease.

Where to begin? I must say all chores suck... Big Time!!! But the one that gets to me the most would have to be yard work. After a long long winter, cleaning up the yard from animal droppings to dead plants and weeds... yard work is by far the worst and hardest chore of them all... Especially if you have a larger yard like mine.

Washing dishes! by HAND! I live in a rental suite and can't afford to buy a dishwasher. I love to bake and cook so the kitchen becomes a disaster when I'm in it. The counter space is lacking so I have to use all the flat surface real estate that I can (tea towel draped over the oven) and the floor for clean dishes to dry. I think the only fun chore is vacuuming!

My least favourite chore is packing lunches.

Dusting sucks---always have to move things or be careful not to break things..plus the nooks and crannies..Sucks

I hate cleaning the oven! I actually love vaccuuming and would love to vaccuum my house with a Dyson!

Nothing worse than having to get down and clean the baseboards for sure.

All chores suck, but my least favourite would be dusting

Honestly? Vacuuming sucks! That's my husband's job because I can't stand it. Now if I had an awesome vacuum like the Dyson, I might actually enjoy it more :)

Putting away laundry, how did it ever fit anywhere?????

Oh - after the morning I just had, this is easy!! I woke up to the sounds of "Mommy...I peed my bed...". Sigh. Right through the sheets, right through the waterproof pad (fail!) into the mattress. Somehow soaked the duvet and a bunch of his stuffed animals too. Stripped the bed, blotted up what I could and got out baking soda to cover the wet areas. I left the baking soda on for an hour, and then returned to discover that my toddler found the box and had proceeded to sprinkle the baking soda all over the carpet in her brother's room. Yay. Out comes the vacuum...which is terrible by the way...to clean up the floor, suck up the powder on the bed and scrub with vinegar. Needless to say, I was exhausted before even getting to work today! Winning a Dyson would be amazing. Thank for the chance!

I think cleaning the bathroom just "sucks"!

vacuuming is my favourite chore but laundry and dishes omg i hate them. I rather lean a toilet with bare hands then those 2 chores!!

I actually like vacumning so this would be an awesome prize to make that chore better! The chores that suck the most are doing laundry and dishes because they are everyday and are really never DONE!

I hate bathrooms the most! It's mainly the hair - I can't stand having hair stuck to things I'm washing, so even the tiniest one drives me crazy. And bathrooms, well, they're always full of hair from the sink to the tub!

a friend just told me how wonderful Dyson ball vacuum cleaners are

Cleaning in general "Sucks", lol, but my most dreaded chore is cleaning the bathroom. Especially with two boys in the house that "miss" the toilet often!

I actually enjoy vacuuming and would love to win the Dyson DC43! It would help me combat my son's allergies :)

I think stripping the beds, washing the sheets and remaking the beds is the bain of my existence...so much so that the other day I ended up sleeping on the couch instead of re-making the bed....lol

I think my top two hates would be cleaning the shower & folding laundry... It feels like I can't ever catch up with the laundry...

I LOVED reading what other people thought "sucked", and I gotta agree... is "all of the above" an option? I have 3 boys, a husband, 5 parrots, and two rotties that I clean up after regularly. So having a high end vacuum like this Dyson would be heavenly!

I HATE cleaning the bathroom. Being the only women in the house with 2 boys it's disgusting. Toothpaste always in the sink. Nasties always in an in the toilet. Yuck

I clean for a living at work (food manufacturing plant) and we clean with hoses and foamers and some days I just wish I could hose down the house, foam it, and push the water to the drains LOL

I guess when the laundry piles up too high, the putting it away part tends to fall behind

I clean for a living at work (food manufacturing plant) and we clean with hoses and foamers and some days I just wish I could hose down the house, foam it, and push the water to the drains LOL

My most dreaded chore? I would have to say it is a toss up between dusting and vacuuming. I am allergic to dust and suffer from asthma. These two chores kick up all the dust and i launch into a sneezing fit coupled with heavy coughing and wheezing.

I would love a Dyson vacuum. Not only would it help my asthma, but I would never have to vacuum again! Every time we see a commercial for a Dyson, my husband practically needs a drool bucket! Lol. He has even memorized the commercial and speaks along with it!

The household chore that truly ducks is cleaning the entire house! Don't laugh; it's true! I have a cat (ok, a big cat) and his hair ends up everywhere all the time! I've found his cat hair in my eyeball, and in my nostril!! I can vacuum and clean until the cows come home; however, it never seems to be enough .... there will always be cat hair! That's not good for my partner's asthma, or my daughter's allergies.

I'd like to have a clean home, and even clean air ... is it possible?

definitely the dishes! And putting away the clean cloths... how is it i can get them sorted, washed dried ad folded but never put them back???

There are a lot of chores that "suck"... :) But I think folding the laundry is my least favourite!! We have so much of it and it takes forever!!

The bathroom is the worst job ever! A boy, a man and two cats with only lil ole me to clean up after them! I like to use Method bathroom cleaner, I always spray down the bathroom a few minutes before I do the actual cleaning, that way it doesn't smell nearly as horrid since Method bathroom cleaner smells like mint!

Dusting, I hate it. And myself, my husband and one of my sons all have allergies so I really should do it more often.

The chore that absolutely SUCKS for me is cleaning the bathrooms after my 3 dudes have used and abused it! Vacuuming stairs is a close second, so I think a new Dyson would cheer me up... until I walked into the bathroom again of course. ;D

I have cleaning my boys bathroom. They do it themselves mostly then Momma does the periodic uber clean. The two of them are like a comet coming into your atmosphere...bright , beautiful and awe inspiring with a debris trail left behind!!

For me it's definitely scrubbing the bath tub and shower stall. If only there is a way it'd magically clean itself... Vacuuming is pretty bad too but if you have a Dyson...that would be a different story :p

I hate doing dishes! Once all is done the kitchen looks great though!

Vacuuming the living room, cleaning the balcony are SUCKS...... Takes time to clean and my vacuum cleaner quiet heavy so..... not helping at all. My friend had one of dyson vacuum she said cleaning her house is easier and it is really is deep clean at the same time.
So winning this Dyson will make my household chores easier since my two children loves to make a mess around the house :) Also I want to get my husband hooks and excite about vacuuming just like Jen's husband did on the article above . Crossing my fingers now ;)

The chore that SUCKS is bathrooms. With three growing boys and one girl, bathrooms are definitely no fun!

BATHROOMS.........Ugh. The whole bit... well maybe other than the mirror with the norwex clothe. On the other Hand I am gratefull to be phhysically capable to clean the bathrooms.... think positive.... think positive.....

I don't know why, maybe because of the akward reach but I've always hated scrubbing the tub. :)

The worst chore is making my bed!!!! I hate it with a passion.

There are 2 things tied for first - folding laundry and dusting.....

It's funny how close to home your article hit, my husband and I have fallen into the same routine and for some reason or another, the vacuuming gets left by the wayside..unintentionally, until I see one of my little ones rolling around on the carpet and then I feel guilty thinking when was the last time that spot was vacuumed, poor things their noses are right down there breathing all that crap and then the vacuum makes a brief reappearance.
I've been wanting a Dyson for quite some time, I have asthma and allergies, and seems like my daughter is heading down the same road as me, but unfortunately the cost has always held us back.
Now if there there was a Dyson that could clean bathrooms (chore that sucks!) I would get that in an instant!!
Thanks for your lovely story :)

I absolutely hate cleaning the bathrooms. This vacuum might be able to help me with toilets but it will make me smile while cleaning them.

My least favorite chore is laundry... It seems that no matter how far ahead of the game I get, there is a neverending supply of dirty clothes!! I also really don't like deciding what to have for dinner. I know it shouldn't be that hard, but it is.

Anything repetitive. The chore that "Sucks" for me the most, is cleaning the kitchen tiles floors and Vaccuuming carpets day after day...

Hi hate most of the chores but my least favorite is the vaccuum, I have carpet everywhere in the house and the vacuum is so heavy that only this chore is a real workout for me lol

It's hard to pick, but I think the dishes are the worst. I don't have a dishwasher and just when I finally get done cleaning all those dishes, 10 minutes later there is a dirty cup or plate ready to be washed. It's never ending.

Any type of housework "Sucks" for me, but I especially dislike doing laundry. It seems a waste to wash all those clothes and fold them just to have to wash and fold them all over again a few days after you finished. What a pain!

The one household chore I think sucks is cleaning the toilet. Can't stand it!

I don't like housework but I love the outcome when I just roll up my sleeves and get to it. The one thing I avoid (it 'sucks') is vacuuming. My vacuum puts up a really good fight in avoiding being awakened out of its 'sleep'. Talk about cranky! Thanks.

I agree its hard to pick because i do all the house work, but if I had to choose, then id say dusting because i have an allergy to dust. No matter what i use, a wet cloth a dry cloth a swiffer cloth, i'm sneezing in seconds with red eyes and all day it feels like i got ants in my nose....Id put off dusting but i cant, because it laying around the house is not good for my allergy. lol, its a lose lose situation

I absolutley HATE dusting....I'm allergic to dust so it makes me stuff right up and then I end up with a migraine! Give me any other house work and I'll finish without whining but dusting trully SUCKS!

I find vacuuming really sucks for me. I have physical problems and vacuuming literally sucks my energy for the rest of the day.

I hate cleaning the tub. We have an extra deep on so you practically have to climb in to do a good job. I've tried the spray cleaners but for a good clean is still feel I have to scrub. Sometimes I think I should just shower and scrub at the same time.

Cleaning the bathrooms suck.

Hate doing floors- so time consuming and the kids always seem to trample across -or spill juice- within minutes of finishing.

Which chore absolutely sucks around my house you ask?
Well vaccuming really sucks, but not really it blows all the stuff it picks up right back out onto the floor. There is a hose that you can detach to vacumm small crevices and corners and it pops off while you're vacuuming, spilling everything back out that you just picked up.
This hose doesn't pop off everytime just once in a while when you least expect it. Like a little surprise you bought a horrible vacuum!

I would love this vacuum cleaner especially since this vacuum is Brining Sexy Back and Dyson is leading right now in vacuum innovation.

For me it's cleaning bathrooms and doing the "weed eating" in the yard...

Cleaning the bathroom "SUCKS". Between trying to get off the dried toothpaste that
your kids leave in the sink, to the mess that the toilet bowl seems to always be in cleaning the bathroom is one of my "suck" worthy chores.

I must admit that vacuuming is the one chore that I dislike. I find it very time consuming and tedious and would love to have something as exciting as a Dyson to make the chore a bit more exciting and fun. Now, bathrooms on the other hand, I can handle!

Dusting and washing the floors are the worst! Unloading the dishwasher is a close second.

and there is nothing more annoying than being asked " I thougt you said you vacuum" right after I just finished. Argh

Cleaning the bathroom is the worst! It's never ending! Always get dirty again right away!

It's dusting, hands down. Nothing more futile... I think. You finish this tedious task, turn around and find a few specs of dust comfortably back on the surface you just chased them from. So what's the use? And why bother anymore?

For me washing dishes....we don't have a dishwasher and I end up washing dishes 3-4 time per day....and that is starting to get old!

Cleaning the showers/tubs. Soap should not equal soap scum.

The chore that sucks and honestly doesn't get done often enough in my household is cleaning the oven and fridge.

The chore that sucks the most for me is mopping. I can't be bothered to take the mop and pail, etc. I'd rather use a cloth on the floor. This way you know you are getting the floor clean. Also don't like cleaning our compost pail, we don't bother with a pail liner for inside the house, my husband empties the pail regularly but NEVER rinses it, peeyou!

cleaning the gas range. After a week of cooking on it, it seems like I would need to grab a chisel to remove all the burnt grease from bacon, hamburger meat ect, the burnt on water ect...from a pot boiling over. The part that really sucks is that after spending a 1/2 hour cleaning everything off the glass cook top it still looks like crap until you spend the extra 15 minutes polishing it to remove all the streaks, then you have to make sure you remove all the white specks of polish (I usually cheat and use the vacuum for that)

For me it's a tie between bathrooms and laundry....

My daughter and I both have long hair so vacuuming sucks (or sometimes doesn't when it gets plugged with hair!)

Cleaning the bathroom, bad enough the toilet yuk but I have 3 girls in the family with long hair. So the bathroom floors get covered in hair and I hate it, sticks to everything and forget it if you accidentally drop your toothbrush. oh yuck!

After cleaning the floors, hands down nasty cleaning is the oven.

Cleaning the catbox SUCKS!

oh boy!!! i have 3 cats with long hair..so of course i have a house full of it but also ,when they come in from the backyard, they bring dirt and stuff in stuck in they fur..
And , my boyfriend work outside and do lots of lawn mowing so, he is even worst than the cats !
and dont get me started on my 2 adorable boys.....

Trying to get the dogs hair out of the carpet when the vacume we have sucks! hah not literally

A good vacuum cleaner really sucks the dirt and dust from carpets, floors, furniture, etc. Oh! what satisfaction results after the job is complete! It feels as if we live in refreshed surroundings.

Cleaning out the drains, gross!!

I dislike cleaning the bathtub

I would say dusting is the chore that sucks the most................it never ends because we have a cat and also live near a dusty field.

Cleaning my vehicle is the hardest and suckiest cleaning job for me. It is frustrating to get into the nooks and crannies on the sides of seats which you can't get into with most vacuums.

Cleaning bathrooms is my most hated chore, especially when dealing with a potty training boy who generally misses the toilet.

Cleaning itself Sucks! It sucks time away from me and my kids! I especially do not like the bathroom. I dispise cleaning the toilet!

Vaccumming sucks having to drag the vaccum up the stairs. The vaccum I have the one wheel comes off so I always have to put it back on. grrrrr

Cleaning bathrooms, especially with a potty training boy who misses a lot is the worst!

They all "suck"...I really need a maid (lol) or live in house made of marble and granite that I could just hose down lol but since I live where that's not possible...I would have to go with cleaning the hair out of drains. That turns my tummy. Give me cleaning the poopiest babies bottom over hair in drains any day. Happy cleaning everyone :)

Although housework in general is not top on my favorites list, I definitely hate washing floors. Corners are the hardest, usually meaning a trip on hands and knees with a scrub brush.

Ok the worst, my mother in law bought a thousand dollar vaccum cleaner and it is the worst thing I have ever used. When you turn it , it leaves dirt on the floor and it dosen't swivel properly. And it is only less then a year old. I hate vaccuming, hate it especailly with this thing.

Washing dishes by hand is the chore that sucks the most, right after that is folding laundry. Thank goodness I have a dishwasher and a ten year old who does her own laundry :)

Scrubbing the toilet bowl is definitely #1 on my list :

I absolutely HATE doing laundry! It's the worst, I literally do laundry every 3 weeks or so when we have absolutely NOTHING left to wear. I'd love to win a new vacuum though as mine isn't very good. Wish me luck!

I hate vacuuming the floors. I have four cats and a rabbit and the fur the keeps blowing away from my old vacuum. I think this one would really work.

I absolutely hate washing floors:( Constantly having to do it because of the kids and dogs lol

I hate washing the windows

I absolutely HATE cleaning the hardwood floors. Being busy with having 2 dogs (hair all over) and 2 kids just don't give you enough time to keep my floors clean. Not to mention all the dust from the construction surrounding our house is just an absolute nightmare.

The job I hate the most is folding socks. I know an easy job right. I just get so frustrated because because there is always a sock that gets lost in the some black hole and will only appear once you have thrown its partner out.

The other job I hate is cleaning under the stove. I just grosses me out to think that dust and crumbs have managed to make their way under there. You whole house can feel clean then you pull the stove out and your house doesn't feel so clean anymore.

The chore that sucks the worst is cleaning the boys bedrooms and finding food in various states of decay hidden and forgotten all over the place!!

For me, it is definitely laundry and vacuuming. I have fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis and am only 49 so doing these chores "suck" they take all the energy and strength I have. But then again, most chores suck. ha ha ha

I would have to say that after my job in 1995 of cleaning dormrooms, classrooms and dorm bathroooms - ew! I think I suffer from PTSD when it comes to dirty bathrooms, but vacuuming holds a close second, I vacuumed many classrooms that year in order to help pay for my tuition, and lugging around that heavy equipment was a part of my evening that "sucked".
I am fortunate now to have a husband who shares the chore of cleaning our bathrooms and vacuuming. With our central vacuum on its last legs, probaly from several toys being shoved into it over the past 8 years, a new Vacuum would be wonderful! One that could keep up with the dirt and crackers that our 4 kids seem to leave behind.

I really, really don't like dusting. It's just such a pain to pick everything up off the shelves, desks and cabinets. And we have a LOT of stuff in our house, so it makes dusting seem like a very daunting task.

i cringe at the thought of cleaning the bathroom, three little boys and my husband...need i say more...lol

The household chore that sucks the most is cleaning the toilet bowl pedestal. Good luck everyone! :D

I hate dusting! Would love a new vacuum as our s dies 2 weeks ago...hated it anyways. It was big and heavy to lug around...especially when vaccuming stairs! I HATE vacuuming the stairs!

All of it... Nah the chore that I hate most (even more than cleaning the toilet) is DUSTING!! I just hate doing it. It is the most monotonous job on the planet. I would pay someone to do it for me lol

I hate wiping the toilet- especially in a house full of boys!!!

Cleaning the bathroom is one chore I don't particularly enjoy!

The chore that makes me feel most stabby is cleaning the bathtub. Often I use this chore as a punishment when my kids have done something wrong. That way it gets clean, they learn a "lesson," and I don't have to do it myself.

I have heard so much about these machines that I just had to try to win one.

I really dislike cleaning the bathroom. It is an endless chore.

I absolutely loathe anything to do with floors. be it sweeping mopping, vacuuming, etc...and now my wife is talking about tearing up the carpet in our bedroom and restoring the hard wood floor.....EFF!!!

You wouldn't believe the extents i go to get my vacuum to work better, up to and including blasting out the filters and the inners of it with a compressor and the shop vac running on blow. my theory, the better it works, the longer i can leave in between vacuuming.....as it is it seems like the bloody thing is still running every couple of days. 2 kids, 1 weinerdog, 2 rabbits, and 2 adults = perpetually filthy floors!

My least favourite chore is cleaning the floor. The vacuuming, then the washing, plus we have 2 cats and a dog so 10 minutes after I clean it looks like I didn't do anything. :(

It's a tie between cleaning the bathtub/toilet and mopping the floors. However, I'm not impressed with our current vacuum, so I often find myself getting frustrated with how it doesn't suck up everything in its path. Winning a Dyson vacuum would be so awesome!

I live in a 500 sq ft bachelor with a small dog and 4 - yes 4 - cats - long story. As you can imagine, there's lots of fur and hair to deal with - I had a Bissell, but it died - I watch your ads with wistfulness - I wish.................................
