1. Bonnie Parker (as played by Faye Dunaway) - Oh, Bonnie. She is my Alpha, my Omega. I first saw Bonnie & Clyde when I was about 12 years old, and, I was instantly transfixed with her; I've never stopped being inspired by her style. I love the way she drapes a scarf, carries herself, and somehow manages to be covered up, yet still sexy.
3. Joan Holloway - I have gasped with COVETOUS DESPERATE NEED at wardrobe pieces of all the women of Mad Men at some point or another, but I'm a sucker for a good dress, and Joan's series of gorgeous jewel-toned, figure-flattering ones consistently makes me sigh. And then wish I knew how to sew. Or perfect a time travel device.
4. Lily van der Woodsen - As I recently hit my 30s, I'm editing my closet a bit more; I'm tossing the skirts from college that -while cute at the time - do not, technically, cover my butt while sitting. I'm a mom twice over. I have a few gray hairs. I need to dress at least somewhat age appropriately, you know? Lily van der Woodsen (Serena's mom on Gossip Girl, a show for which I am ALSO too old) is always gorgeously dressed, with a nod toward the seasons' styles, but also mindful of her age. She's a perfect muse as I make my way into my 30s. Although, really, I have GOT to stop watching that show.
5. Kate Moss - She's been my fashion idol for about five years. She introduced me to skinny jeans, and somehow manages to always be on trend without being trendY. It's a gift, truly.
